On this episode, I sit down with Haile Kucera to talk about her personal transformation and extreme weight loss. After a breakup, Haile realized she wanted to change her life and decided to take on a massive weight loss of 129 pounds. She shares how she first got started - when she was scared of going to the gym and not being able to finish a workout - and how you can make working out a non-negotiable part of your self care. We also discuss nutrition and how Haile used counting macros and intermittent fasting to achieve and maintain her weight loss. Finally, we talk about Haile's new passion - competing in bikini modeling shows! She shares how she overcame insecurity and self consciousness to rock a bathing in front of a group of strangers who are there to judge her (chills literally just went down my spine).  Haile has such wonderful energy and I know you are going to love getting to know her and her positive messages on self love and body acceptance.

On this episode, I sit down with my husband Brett to talk about getting your spouse, family member, or friend on board with a healthy lifestyle. Brett speaks from personal experience since he resisted joining me on my health journey for over a YEAR (I know, imagine my frustration)! I'm sure many of you are in the same boat where you are excited about new lifestyle choices that are making you feel better, look better, and be healthier overall, and you want to share those with people you love. Brett walks us through his own health journey, why he was resistant to getting on board with the changes I recommended, and what ultimately got him bought into the healthy habits he has today. He shares his best advice for those who are resisting change as well as advice for those who are trying to get someone on board. On this episode, I sit down with Catharine Arnston, the founder and CEO of Energybits, a company that produces high quality algae. Catharine educates us on all things algae, which you may currently know nothing about (I know I didn't!). By the end of the episode, you'll understand the two main types of beneficial algae - spirulina and chlorella - and what the health benefits of each are. Catharine also shares how algae can help strengthen your immune system in light of global health concerns related to COVID-19. Welcome to the Real Health with Rach podcast!

I'm your host, Rachel, and I run the Real Health with Rach blog dedicated to recipes, advice, and recommendations for living your healthiest, happiest real life. You can connect with me on social @realhealthwithrach and check out my blog here!

I was inspired to create this show after attending RISE Conference, where I saw women getting up in front of 4000 strangers and sharing their real life experiences to help others. It made me realize that I wasn't alone on my own health journey and that so much of what we may be going through, someone else has gone through, too. 

What to expect: You'll be hearing from real women who are openly sharing their personal experiences related to health, nutrition, fitness, business, parenthood, relationships, and anything else we can think of. You'll also be hearing from experts in nutrition, fitness, women's health, skin care, mental health, and a variety of other topics. Finally, you'll be hearing from me, Rach, about my personal journey, lessons learned, advice I can share, and challenges I've dealt with. 

My hope is that you can listen to an episode of this show and hear that someone else is in the same boat, has gone through the same thing, or has overcome with the same obstacle as you. We are not meant to do life alone and I want to make sure you know that it's. not. just. you. You can expect 30 minute episodes, released every Wednesday, and I hope you find them easy to listen to while you're getting ready, on your way to work, making dinner, or on a run. I'm so excited to get this party started!

The first episode is launching on July 8th so until then, be well, stay real, and I'll see you soon!
