Shane O'Neill - Civitas Talent
In this week's episode, I'm joined by Shane O'Neill, Civitas Talent Founder in Sydney, Australia. Shane is an Irish recruiter who decided to backpack Downunder in his early twenties and after a few years he settled down in Australia in HR Contracting. He started the Recruiters Mastermind 7.0 before launching his business and it didn't take long for him to take the plunge and set up his own agency recruitment and podcast channel: The HR Community Podcast.
We talked about how the transition was from sitting on a desk, in a suit and working from 8 to 5 to building his business and managing a team of virtual assistants, how is it like to work in the Australian market and his niche as well as the life as an expat recruiter. It's been great to follow his journey as a founder and how he quickly evolved and streamlined his agency since we first talked in the Mastermind.
