Exploring Dr. Dawn's Open Source Journey with Regina β An Open Conversation
Dr. Dawn Foster works as the Director of Data Science for the @CHAOSSproj where she is also a board member and maintainer. She is co-chair of @CloudNativeFdn (CNCF) TAG Contributor Strategy and an @openuk_uk board member. She has 20+ years of experience at companies like @VMware and @intel with expertise in community building, strategy, open source, governance, metrics, and more. She has spoken at over 100 industry events and has a PhD, MBA, and BS in computer science. In her spare time she enjoys reading science fiction, running, and traveling.

Unraveling Stormy Peters' Open Source Journey and Inspiration π (Episode #4)
Stormy Peters is VP of Communities at GitHub.
She leads the teams responsible for enabling online creators and open
source communities on GitHub, including community product efforts,
developer relations, education, and other strategic programs. Throughout
her career, Stormy has been passionate about open source software and
has worked to educate companies and communities on how open source
software is changing the industry.
Prior to GitHub, Stormy was the Director of the Open Source Programs Office at Microsoft,
enabling 30,000+ developers to consume and contribute to open source
effectively. She has initiated programs such as Microsoftβs FOSS Fund
and the Azure Credits for Open Source projects. Stormy has also held
leadership positions working with the open source community at Mozilla, Red Hat, the GNOME Foundation, OpenLogic, and others.

Emma Irwin's Open Source Journey π (Episode #3)
π Emma has been building and contributing to #opensource software and open source communities for about as long as she can remember. Her role at Microsoft Open Source Programs Office (OSPO) building, empowering and activating #developers and their teams around open source is a combination of all the things she loves: #teaching, #learning, tinkering and bringing people together. Emma is also a volunteer member of @canada Canada's Open Government Stakeholder Forum https://lnkd.in/erH6DxGG which provides input on Canada's Open Government strategy. Previous to Microsoft, she spent a number of years working on Open Innovation at Mozilla. Emma lives in Sooke, BC with her family which includes two dogs, and one cat. π€

Joannah Nanjekye has a background as a Software and Aeronautical Engineer. Currently, a Python core developer and director of the Python Software Foundation doing research on garbage collection in Python with the IBM Center for Advanced studies - Atlantic, at the University of New Brunswick in Canada, but originally from Uganda, East Africa. She is also the author of Python 2 and 3 compatibility, a book published by Apress.

As Senior Director at Arm, Cheryl leads ecosystem strategy to drive adoption across cloud, 5G and networking. She also founded the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) London meetup and runs events for 7000 architects, SREs and DevOps engineers monthly.
Previously Cheryl was VP Ecosystem at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) / The Linux Foundation , bringing Spotify, Apple and Airbnb into the End User Community. She was a C++ engineer on Google Maps and and engineering manager at Apple, and holds a Masters Computer Science from the University of Cambridge.
