October 12, 2023 Segment 2: Issue 2
Special Guest: Bernie Moreno, US Senate Candidate
Issue 2 - “Commercialize, Regulate, Legalize, and Tax the Adult Use of Cannabis”
Actual text of the resolution is 51 pages long!!!
And very, very difficult to find online
While much is said about “cannabis” the bulk of the language deals with “Social Equity and Jobs Program” - a new effort under the Ohio Department of Development
The actual text contains the word “equity” over twice as many times as the word “license”.
Section 2: “provide funding and social equity opportunities in the state”
Section 3: “Prescribing standards and procedures in coordination with the department of development to administer and enforce the cannabis social equity and jobs program”
The Department of Development - “Creating a better life for all Ohioans”
Already sounds like an “equity” focused organization
New “Social Equity and Jobs Program”
Funded by legalizing and licensing cannabis
Easily expanded to every area of commerce, business and government activity
Also includes language that forces cannabis into poor and impoverished neighborhoods
Anyone previously convicted of selling weed, can get Ohio funding to get back into the business!
Aside from the obvious issues with widespread use of marijuana, the focus on creating a whole new “equity” program has nothing to do with the legalization effort.

October 12, 2023 Segment 1: Issue 1
Special Guest: Bernie Moreno, US Senate Candidate
Welcome - Bernie Moreno
Successful Businessman - car dealership, blockchain tech
US Senate candidate
Vote NOvember Campaign
Ballot Initiatives, New Taxes - Just Vote NO
Ballot initiatives are a horrible way to “make law”
Circumventing the legislature, means no checks and balances
Outside state resources can buy the voters easier than the legislatures
Issue 1 - “Amendment Relating to Abortion and Other Reproductive Decisions”
Check out https://seethelanguage.com/
Takes all-inclusive, vague language to a whole new level - none of the key terms are defined:
“Individual” - No age, sex, condition – just “Every individual”
“Reproductive decisions” - “including but not limited to decisions on contraception, fertility treatment, continuing one’s own pregnancy, miscarriage care, and abortion”
Means definition can be expanded to anything involving “Reproduction”
“Patients life or health” - Any limitation can be overridden for “health” but no definition of “health is given”
Means exception can be physical, mental, financial, basically anything that can be construed as effecting the individual.
Most disturbing aspects:
Ohio will join North Korea and China as one of the few places on earth where you can legally kill a baby up to the moment of birth.
Permits anyone to encourage children to have abortions or gender surgeries
Prohibits anyone, including parents, from discouraging these procedures

May 12, 2023 w/Brian Thomas
George Brunemann interview on Brian Thomas show discussing next steps after the defeat of the May NWLSD Levy.
- Thank you for the previous discussion about sign theft.
- Problem greatly improved after that
- We have attended the school district “facilities planning” meeting and have met with the superintendent and treasurer.
- Bottom line is the facilities in the district are in extreme disrepair.
- In last 2 years inflation is 15%
- Interest rates have doubled
- Deep – Deep – Hole!
- Encouraged the school that now is not the time to do a huge bond.
- Current bond levy failed 3 to 2 in November and 3 to 1 this month.
- Bonds are currently a $3 cost per $1 of loan
- Taxpayers cannot afford this!
- The only avenue for real progress is to go after the state funding scheme
- Property tax for schools has been declared unconstitutional twice!
- The current funding encourages horrible behavior.
- Pay for new buildings, no money for maintenance
- Voucher program gives 100% of the money to the private school but only 25% if the child goes to the public school.
- Need to get pressure on the legislature to make real progress on school funding.

Episode 23, Segment 3: Primary Priorities
- Friday’s meeting was an embarrassing display of dysfunction
It’s a long video but 1:03 is the “Financial Reports”, 1:18 is the recommendation to endorse - Voted 36-26 to endorse the slate of “statewide incumbents”
- The adjectives that come to mine – pompous, self-important, grand standing, total disdain for voters
- We need fresh blood that actually represents the voters to the party, not mandating the party wants onto the voters.
- Why are these roles important?
PEs are the basic infrastructure for the ground game of the party
SCC members set statewide direction
Currently the focus is on the party, not the voter
No focus on messaging or principles - How do you win the election?
- How do you defeat the incumbents especially if the SCC funds their own members!?
- Ground game
- Social media
- Mailers
- Fundraising

Episode 23, Segment 2: Establishment Politics
- The Ohio Redistricting Commission members now have until noon on Feb. 23 to tell the court why they shouldn’t be held in contempt.
- 2020 Census and Election Results determine map guidelines
- Conflict between “democracy”
Trump 53.3%, Biden 45.3% therefore, Dem’s deserve 45.3% of all election categories - and Republic
Trump won 81 counties, Biden won 7 therefore Dem’s deserve only 8% of election categories - No way to give Dem’s 45.3% without enormous gerrymandering
- This is all thanks to constitution change agreed to by voters in 2015. Clearly no one thought through the changes.
- Wanted to present a more active voice for conservative principles
- Impact of the lollygagging on redistricting
- Power of incumbents
- What does it take to get true voter responsibility as opposed to the power of lobbyists?

Episode 23, Segment 1: World Events
- Perplexing on many levels
- The Biden Administration talks openly about the impending threat
Sounds a lot like entrapment
Is it a coincidence that this starts up just as Biden’s numbers tip to the low 40’s? - Is this a reaction to the soft stance of the Biden Administration?
Handing Afghanistan back to the Taliban with a gift of billions of dollars of equipment, and the deadly/disorganize fleeing from Kabul
Not exactly a show of power by the US - Why are we not willing to protect our own borders but consider Ukraine’s border worth going to war?
- The protest against Canada’s vaccine mandate has led Canada to flip the switch to total government tyranny.
- No reports of violence, fires, riots… Bouncy houses, prayer circles,..\
- BLM cost over $2B in damages, Trudeau joined the protestors
- But the truckers are illegal protesters and terrorists!
- Canada’s Minister of Finance, Chrystia Freeland
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMCZMs4Ut6s - For the crime of supporting an anti-vaccine organization, you lose access to your savings!

WTF Episode 1: Ohio Redistricting Maps
What is the effect of the 2015 change to redistricting?
How does state-wide "democracy" play against "representative" maps?

Episode 22, Segment 3: Cleaning Up Ohio
- Accounting Issues
$1.7 being written off without explanation
ORPAccountability.com – Mark Bainbridge, Laura Rosenberger
EmpowerU will be doing a class this Wednesday, "Is the Ohio Republican Party Corrupt?" - Funneling money to primary candidates – establishment incumbents and SCC members
- State Central Committees have many conservative options
Senate 8 has 2 men and 6 women running
Senate 9 has 4 men but only 1 women running - County Central Committee (Precinct Exec)
No formal list yet
We need solid liberty representatives to have any effect on the local party
- Currently too many candidates to defeat DeWine
Renacci, Blystone, Keller - District 29 will have a candidate, Angela Hymer, against Cindy Abrams
- Must get some traction to wrestle control back to the voter from the donor/lobbyist groups

Episode 22, Segment 2: Ohio Primary
- Still not finalized!
Fed Congressional District were due by 30Sep2021, State office lines due by 01Sep2021
First revision came 20Nov2021, overruled by OH Supreme Court 12Jan2022
Next try competed 22Jan2022, again before the OH SC
- Curt – running against Joe Murray and Lindsay Cole
- Current maps tilt district Democrat
- What are your key objectives in Ohio House?
- How do we advance true conservative principles?
- Is there any way to break the DeWine grip on mandates?
- December GOP meeting attempted to endorse DeWine and adjourned meeting because of public attendees disrupting the meeting.
More discussion of the GOP State Central Committee in Segment 3 - Clermont County endorses Renaci
- Local establishment Republicans came out for DeWine
Here is the letter that went out today to those endorsing democrat dictator DeWine

Episode 22, Segment 1: Freedom Still Matters
Freedom Still Matters
- Fundamental Principles (always true, universally applied)
Rights come from being a human, not granted by government – government must protect rights
Pursuit of Happiness NOT Guarantee of Happiness
You cannot spend more than you bring in
Security/Safety/Common Good are usually excuses for usurping individual rights - Root of all differences between liberals and conservatives is Personal Responsibility
- “Conservatives”
Being right on the current issues: Pro-life, Pro-2A
vs having a fundamental disposition to support personal freedom - DeWine/Acton, Biden/Fauci, Australia

Episode 22: Freedom Still Matters (Guest: Curt Hartman)
Guest: Curt Hartman
Segment 1: Freedom Still Matters
Segment 2: Ohio Primary
Segment 3: Cleaning Up Ohio

Episode 21, Segment 3: Importance of 2022 Primary and Central Committee
2022 Election Primary
- Primary is the only chance to get rid of incumbents
Unfortunately the establishment is highly motivated to keep incumbents regardless of competence - DeWine must be defeated – Renacci is only candidate that has backing to beat DeWine
- The US Senate replacement must be a step UP from Rob Portman
- Must fill Ohio GOP with Liberty First Candidates!!!
- County and State Central Committees
Why does it matter?
County – local endorsements
State – big dollars to endorsed candidates, huge bias to incumbents, tend to sway primaries - Petition Process
5 valid signatures, 15 max – from your precinct, your party
Forms from Ohio SOS, voter list from BOE, Deliver to county to BOE - Winning Strategy – These are your neighbors, just talk to them!
- What comes next…
- Details will be on the https://RestoreLiberty.US front page shortly!
