In late May we heard the news that Showmasters had cancelled this year's Destination Star Trek event. At Wrestlemania XX, three WWE superstars competed in a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Chris Benoit just a few weeks later the rematch occurred. The event was WWE Backlash 2004 from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada featuring the superstars from the RAW brand. 

In this Retro Chat special we look back at this event and ask the question What Happened When? As well as discussing the events of Chris Benoit and asking should the WWE have kept a certain clip in the pay per view. Some of the topics in this show may cause distress.

On the 18th November 2001, the World Wrestling Federation presented the 15th annual Survivor Series event but this one was slightly different. For the majority of 2001, a war had been waging between the Alliance (WCW and ECW) and the World Wrestling Federation. This event was designed for one thing, brand supremacy. Which company was going to leave Greensboro still in existance and leading the world of professional wrestling from 2002 onwards. 

On the 22nd November 1990, the World Wrestling Federation presented the fourth annual Survivor Series event. Taking place from Hartford, Conneticut the event featured the traditional elimination survivor series matches, as well as the ultimate finale where all the survivors from the previous matches competed one more time.

Entitled "One Night Only", it was to feature the UK's own British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith defend his WWF European Champinoships against the "Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels in the main event as well as having Bret "Hitman"Hart defend the WWF Heavyweight Championship against the Undertaker in a SummerSlam 1997 rematch.

On this edition of the Retro Chat podcast, we take a look at the first half of the new Masters of the Universe Revelation series which dropped recently on Netflix.

Coming up on this edition of the Retro Chat podcast, we are joined by MOTU Chronicles host and MOTU Super Fan Chris Vint to breakdown and dissect the 200x reboot series from Mike Young Productions.

Join Chris Vint and the team as they provide a commentary on the movie itself.

Coming up on this edition of the Retro Chat podcast, we are travelling to the planet Cybertron where it is more then meets the eye. That's right this week we are focusing on the Transformers, in particular Generation 1 and some conversation on the animated movie. 

Andy is joined by his former TWS co-host Dan Barnsdall, who by admission is a lifelong Transformers fan to discuss the highs and lows of the series, as well as why Transformers is just as popular now then ever. As well as this we also chat about Covid-19, moving from podcasting to being a part of the industry and dealing with fans at events.

It's AEW Double or Nothing weekend, so what better way to kick off our TSC From the Vault series then by re-releasing our iconic interview with the voice of professional wrestling Jim Ross.

This interview was originally conducted back in 2007 / 2008 when JR was still prominent within the WWE. 

About TSC
The Squared Circle Radio Show, was one of the pioneers of internet wrestling radio shows. Broadcast from Bournemouth, UK it was the brainchild of Lee Tyers who managed the entire operation including all of the production which you hear. On the show's second episode, Lee welcomed Andy and the rest became history. 

During there time on air, Lee and Andy interviewed some of the most iconic and legendary wrestling performers, as well as winning multiple awards for the TSC podcast including "Best New Show, Best Male and Female Interviews" at the Wrestling Radio Awards. At the conclusion of TSC's run, Lee and Andy continued their partnership by launching several new projects including the "Legends and Champions Podcasr" and the "Ministry of Slam". 

At the conclusion of 2009, Lee and Andy went their seperate ways, Lee continued with MOS until it's closure and Andy set up the "Total Wrestling Show" which ran up until 2016. 

After taking a break, Lee returned to the airwaves in January 2021 reforming the Ministry of Slam with co-host Lawrence Case, this time on Twitch and YouTube, bringing a whole new audience to their platform. 

Andy remained podcasting but moved away from professional wrestling to focus on entertainment and business. He currently hosts three main podcasts including "The HR Show", "2 Men and Their Mics" and of course "Retro Chat".
