The year 1989 gave us some amazing debut records from bands like Skid Row, Bang Tango and Extreme just to name a few. We also saw the debut record from a band from Sweden called Shotgun Messiah. Shotgun Messiah was led by singer Zinny Zan and quickly made a name for themselves with MTV hits such as Don’t Care About Nothing and Shout It Out. Shotgun Messiah was short lived as Zinny Zan left the band a year later. Fast forward 30 some years and Zinny now has a new record coming out called "Lullabies for the masses" and new single called "Heartbreak City" which is out now! I had the chance to sit down with Zinny and discuss all of this and more on this episode of the Rock N Roll & Coffee Show.

Phil Varone is a founding and former member of the band Saigon Kick and  has been a member of Skid Row, Jake E. Lee's Red Dragon Cartel. He now  has a new band called Panic Boom. Panic Boom have recently released  their first single titled "Revolution" which will be included in Phil's  upcoming documentary about his career as a drummer titled "30 Years a  Drummer". My guest this week is singer and author, Jizzy Pearl. Jizzy made a name for himself fronting the Band Love/Hate in the early 90’s and has toured with bands such as AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Dio and many others. After Love/Hate disbanded, Jizzy went on to front bands such as LA Guns and Ratt. Now Jizzy is the lead singer for Quiet Riot. Not only is Jizzy a fantastic lead singer but he is also an amazing author! He has recently re-released his three books," I Got More Crickets Then Friends", "Unhappy Endings", and "Angst for the Memories". These books are a super fun read with a mixture of non-fiction and fiction short stories. Jizzy also has his latest single "Soul Mama" out now on Golden Robot Records and has a new single coming out August 24th titled "Wanna Be Somebody". This week my guest is Andy Curran! Andy is the bassist and founder of Canadian hard rock band Coney Hatch. Tora Tora came onto the rock scene in 1989 with their debut album "Surprise Attack" and are still making music and touring today with all four original band members! Not many bands of that era can say that. Keith and I discuss his early days, signing with A&M, stepping away from music for a while and reuniting with Tora Tora as well as getting ready to play some live shows after a very long lock down due to the pandemic. Along with Tommy Lee and Matt Cameron, Phil has always been one of my favorite drummers. It was a pleasure getting to chat with Phil about the good and bad time of Saigon Kick, his years with Skid Row and what it was like playing in a band with Jake E Lee. We touch on the dark place he was in during the filming of his documentary Waking Up Dead and his upcoming documentary 30 Years A Drummer as well as his decision to get into comedy and the adult film world. I first meet Roger years ago when the CoffeeStain radio show was going strong and Roger was playing in a local S.W. Florida band by the name of Jesus Gun. We would see each other out at local shows around town. Jesus Gun went on to sign a record deal with Geffen/Interscope and changed their name to Cinder. I first heard of Nolan Neal when I had America's Got Talent on the TV. It was on for background noise, but when Nolan started telling his story i stopped to listen. Once he started singing  I knew I had to get him on the show. Nolan is a great guy with great talent and he has to overcome a ton of obstacles along the way. I first met Ron when he was working at a local radio station in Sarasota, FL. He was always a huge help and very supportive to the band i was in at the time. Ron is also an amazing punk and rock drummer. The Rock N Roll & Coffee Show Trivia game also made it's way into the show again, along with some music from way back. It was great chatting with Ron.

Lance has been in rock radio for years and is currently Director of rock radio programming at Rock 94 WOTT in Watertown, NY. It was great to catch up with Lance. We had a great conversation about our days in the music scene in Florida, his current career and current music. We also had another round of the The Rock N Roll & Coffee Show trivia game.

Many of you may know Bill Allen as Cru Jones from the 1986 BMX film "Rad". Bill has been in many films over the years and is also a working musician. We of course discuss his film career as well as his good friend Brandon Lee, The Pipefitters, Ultralites and the Bouzouki.

Remus Tucker is The Mountain Man of Rock & Country and no stranger to fun. Remus and I go way back to the early 90's when we played in Peppermint Skydiver together. It was great to catch up with him after all the years.

Steve is a long time friend of the show and a man of many talents. We had a great conversation talking about his recently release "Arrowhead Road", that time i lost his dog and his recent work with local dog shelters. Listen and enjoy!
