Episode 168 - The Grumpy Goat
I am delighted to welcome to the Podcast, Anne-Marie from The Grumpy Goat in Reading.
The Grumpy Goat opened in the quirky Harris Arcade near Reading station in 2013, in a tiny unit, where swinging a cat would have been very hazardous to the brilliant stocks of bottles, cans and cheeses!
In Oct 2020, during the darkest days of COVID, they took the opportunity to move into a much larger shop unit, in Union Street, just off Reading's main pedestrianised shopping street. The new unit enabled a much larger stock of beers, wines and spirits, and also a significant expansion of the Deli side of the business.
Finally, and most exciting of all, in August 2022, the Goat Tap was opened above the shop, which is where we are recording from today.

Conor's father Chris bought Ascot Brewing in 2017, whilst Conor was living in Toronto, becoming enamoured with the amazing Canadian Craft Beer Scene.
When Conor returned to the UK in 2019 father and son decided to launch a Craft focused arm of the business, and Disruption IS Brewing came to life, with a mission of Changing Beer For The Better!

Firebrand was launched in 2008, in a converted milking parlour, on the untamed edge of Bodmin Moor in North Cornwall. The focus is their passion for beer made from all natural ingredients, Cornish spring water and American hops.

Episode 141 - Left Handed Giant
I am delighted to welcome to the podcast Bruce from Left Handed Giant based in Bristol.
Left Handed Giant originally started with a beer handed across to Small Bar owners Bruce Gray and Jack Granger. The beer was made by Rich Poole, who eventually set-up shop on on a small kit in the back of the same bar, fermenting the thought of a cuckoo brewery that became Left Handed Giant.
From its start in 2014, the brewery grew in stages, first by securing its own premises in the summer of 2017, and more recently in the latter part of 2019 a second, flagship location of a brewpub based in the centre of Bristol in Finzels Reach, overlooking the harbour off the River Avon.

Episode 140 - Liquid Light Brew Co.
I am delighted to welcome to the podcast Thom from Liquid Light Brew Co based in Nottingham.
Liquid Light was founded by Thom in 2017, with a focus on combining his love for beer and music.
Initially brewing on a nano-kit in his garden shed, Thom progressed to cuckoo brewing at Magpie Brewery for a while, before establishing his own Brewery and Taproom in June 2021 in the Sneinton suburb of Nottingham.

Don honed his craft at both Dig Brew and Tap It, before launching Crop in 2021, initially contract brewing, before taking on the brewery at the Greenwich in Southsea, Portsmouth.
Crop is passionate about innovation as a constant, and if that means breaking things because they push them to far, well that’ll be lessons learned. At Crop they don’t brew by the rules, they bend them to the limit and make new ones that suit them.

I am delighted to welcome to the Podcast, Gareth from DEYA Brewing Co. based in Cheltenham.
DEYA was founded by Theo Freyn in 2015 following the completion of his Masters in Brewing at Heriot Watt.
Having become obsessed with American beer and beer culture, Theo began perfecting the recipe for Steady Rolling Man, initially as a homebrewer, before taking on DEYAs first commercial unit in Cheltenham.
Gareth Moore joined DEYA as Head Brewer in 2016, and DEYA were then on a fast-track to the position they hold today as one of the most celebrated Craft Brewers in Europe.

Episode 134 - Radio City Beer Works
I am delighted to welcome to the Podcast, Dan from Radio City Beer Works based in Chelmsford.
Dan has been an Essex Beer Enthusiast for many years, and he organised the first ever keg bar at the CAMRA's Chelmsford Festival in 2017, which sparked the idea for Radio City.
Dan's biggest challenge is time. Like many who start out in this industry, the brewery is run on the side of a full time career, and with a focus on quality, they will be producing new beers initially at a slow pace.
In July of this year, Radio City took a huge leap forward, opening Radio City Social, which is the fabulous railway arch Taproom in Central Chelmsford where we are recording live today!

I am delighted to welcome back to the podcast Joe from Drop Project Brewing in Mitcham, Surrey.
Drop Project was launched in 2019 by Joe, Will and JT, inspired by their love of the outdoors and enjoying nature to the max. Drop Project brew fantastic modern Craft Beers with an Eco conscious mindset, attempting to create as little a negative impact on the world as possible when brewing.

Paul launched Cloudwater in Feb 2015 to champion beer quality through their focus on balance, precision, creativity, and brewing science. Last Autumn Paul was the guest on Episode 85 of our Podcast which was significantly our most downloaded Episode to date, and it is a privilege to be sitting down with Paul again one year later!

Episode 131 - Neon Raptor Brewing Co.
I am delighted to welcome to the Podcast, Tom from Neon Raptor Brewing based in Nottingham.
It all started with some homebrew on the kitchen hob with a Wilko's stock pot, some garden hose and a copper pipe. Pleased with the progress they decided to enter the Brewdog Nottingham homebrew contest 2015, which to their delight they won, which gave Neon Raptor the encouragement they needed to give brewing a go for real.
From April 2016 there followed a period of cuckoo and gypsy brewing at various venues in the East Midlands, before establishing their own brewery and taproom in Sneiton Market in Central Nottingham.
