Bifrost Cloud is a distributed cloud object storage platform that is S3 compatible. Instead of having all of the data stored in one data center, it works by having customers send a gateway object which is broken up into 80 chunks, encrypted and distributed among 20,000 storage providers worldwide. As long as 30 of the 80 chunks are up and running, the data is fully recoverable and self-healing. S3 storage is becoming more popular thanks to platforms like MSP 360 and Backup Commander.

Sync Your ConnectWise Invoices to QuickBooks Online

Heather Johnson is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Gozynta, a software development company that wants to make better tools for MSPs.   Gozynta has three major products today:  

Tixt

Tixt allows client endusers to send SMS text messages to a phone number assigned to your MSP and automatically create and update tickets in ConnectWise Manage.  

Mobius 

Mobius connects ConnectWise Manage to QuickBooks Online. When invoices are created in Manage, Gozynta Mobius will copy them to QBO. When payments are added to QBO, those payments are applied in ConnectWise Manage.   

Payments

A customer portal that clients to receive invoices with a payment link in their email. The payment link allows them to pay via credit card or ACH, then it will sync the payment information to QuickBooks Online and ConnectWise Manage.

The Art of Manual Virus Remediation with Ken Dwight

Ken Dwight has been a computer professional since 1966, when he was hired as a Programmer Trainee on mainframe computers. Riding the IT fast track, he held numerous positions over the next six years, including Systems Analyst, Systems Programmer, and Senior Systems Engineer for a leading computer terminal manufacturer.

In 1972 he left the corporate world to start his consulting practice. In 1982, his firm bought its first IBM Personal Computer, and the focus of the consulting practice since then has been primarily PC related. That practice has evolved over the years into its present-day identity as The Virus Doctor™.

Since 2002, when the Klez worm changed the landscape of computer viruses, Ken has specialized in preventing, curing, and repairing the damage caused by malware on Personal Computers. As The Virus Doctor™, Ken is recognized today as one of the leading authorities on this ever-changing subject.

Ken spends at least 50 days per year teaching end-users and IT Support Techs how to more effectively handle malware-related issues. He developed the seminar “Safe Computing in the Facebook Era” for end-users and the in-depth Virus Remediation Training workshop for techs. Today he has hundreds of graduates, in most of the United States + 7 foreign countries.
