Gods Design for Life and Death
God is the author of life and on many occasions caused the death of those He thought deserved it. The Bible is full of stories of God’s people killing their enemies. As we remember those who sacrificed their lives to protect or rescue others this Memorial Day weekend, this a good time to look at the 6th Commandment, “You shall not murder” found in Exodus 20:13. We are going to look at what the Bible reveals about God’s Design for Life and Death. Was Jesus a pacifist? When is it permissable to take someones life? How can love overpower the anger and hate that leads to murder? How can we experience eternal life?

Gods Design for your Pace of Life
When God created the world, He paused on the seventh day to show us how to rest. When God gave the Ten Commandments, He prescribed the Sabbath to make sure His people took time to rest. Exodus 20:8 says, “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” But the Sabbath was actually on Saturday and now most of us worship on Sunday. Do we need to keep the Sabbath like the Israelites did or are all days the same? What should we do and not do to keep Sunday holy? Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged to live your life at the pace God intended.

Gods Honorable Design for Mothers
When God created mothers, He knew the critical role they would play in the development and success of their children. Number five of the Ten Commandments, the first one that deals with human relationships says, “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” Exodus 20:12. Mother’s Day is a great time to honor and thank moms. And it can also be a tough holiday for those that didn’t have a great mother experience or their mother is no longer around. This message focuses on why God created mothers, how we can honor mothers and some needs mothers can fill for kids. Come to Rockwell Church to be encouraged to see God’s honorable design for mothers.

Learn to Magnify Gods Holy Name
The Third of the Ten Commandments is: “You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.” Exodus 20:7. This commandment is about so much more than “Don’t use God’s name as a curse word.” We have been given an awesome opportunity to have a personal relationship with the God of all creation and to experience His love – why would we want to carelessly disrespect His name? We are given the priviledge to ask for things in prayer using the authority of Jesus name. We are enabled to call on and proclaim God our Father, our Savior and Lord Jesus God in the flesh and God the Holy Spirit. We are warned God will penalize those who misuse His name and encouraged that properly magnifying God’s Holy name brings blessing and favor.
Come to Rockwell Church at 10:15am this Sunday as Pastor Chris shares Scriptures and examples on how you can magnify His Holy name. We will also have communion. A great Sunday to bring a friend.
Our church service also live streams online at https://rockwell.church/live Part three in the “Live the 10” message series.

The Problem with Idols
The Second of the Ten Commandments is: “No Idols” and is found in Exodus 20:4-6. God has revealed in His Holy Word that He will not tolerate idols in our lives. While you may not be bowing before a shrine filled with figurines or images of false gods/idols, it is possible that something like sports, people’s approval, certain posessions, personal appearance or other things could be your idol. The problem with idols is they distance you from experiencing God, distract you from serving God and keep you from delighting in the God. Pastor Chris Teien shares Scriptures and examples on how you can be sure to worship God exclusively and not let idols get the the way. You will always come out ahead when you put God first.
NOTES: “The Problem with Idols”
“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:4-6
#1 Idols will DISTANCE you from experiencing God
#2 Idols can DISTRACT you from serving God
#3 Idols could DESTROY families and futures
#4 Idols can be DEMONIC
#5 Idols will keep you from DELIGHTING in the Lord

First Pursuit – When God Leads Your Way
The First of the Ten Commandments is, “You shall have no other gods before me" found in Exodus 20:3. There are so many benefits when you put God first in your life. He is the God who cares about you, shares with you and rewards you. It is easy to wander out of God's will and unwittingly chase after other counterfeit "gods" in your life and end up disappointed. Come to Rockwell Church at 10:15am this Sunday as Pastor Chris shares Scriptures and examples on how you can worship and pursue God the way He desires for your good and the church community's benefit. When God leads your way, you will be in the right place at the right time to accomplish the right things.

A. Pursuing God who CARES about you
B. Pursuing God who SHARES with you
1. Shares for your Good
2. Shares out of Love
3. Shares what is Revealing
C. Pursuing God who REWARDS you

2. Protects from Counterfeits
3. Keeps from Disaster
4. Deepens Relationships

10 Commandments for Better Relationships
Just keeping the 10 Commandments isn’t enough to save you from your sins and make you right with God, only repentance and faith in Jesus can do that. But living these 10 will make you more successful in life and improve your relationships with other. Come to Rockwell Church at 10:15am this Sunday as Pastor Chris shares seven ways the Ten Commandments work for us even today. Our church service also live streams online at https://rockwell.church/live Arrive early at 9am for Sunday School for all ages. Part one in the “Live the 10” message series.

Love was Revealed When Jesus was Lifted Up on that Cross
We pause to remember Jesus sacrifice as He purposefully suffered on the cross to pay for our sins. We will have communion and focus on Jesus own words recorded in John chapter 12. In verse 32 He says, “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” He lived a perfect life and then He traded His righteousness for our sinfulness so we could know Him and be with Him forever. Come be encouraged to worship our Savior who paid the price in a very dark world, so that those who put their faith in Him will experience salvation, victory and living in God’s perfect light. When Jesus is Lifted Up

Jesus Before the Cheering Stopped
The crowd cheered as Jesus rode into Jerusalem fulfilling prophecy and giving people the hope they were watching for. It was the day Jesus was honored as a King. The people cried out, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” Hosanna means “Save Us.” It was the day that Jesus showed his authority over the merchants abd money changers in the temple. It was the day he healed the blind and lame and heard people praise him. It was the day the Pharisees (religous leaders) decided Jesus needed to die. That was all before the cheering stopped. The people wanted their immediate plans fulfilled – Jesus was working out His eternal plans.
Listen to this message from Pastor Chris Teien at Rockwell Church this Palm Sunday as we remember what Jesus endured to redeem us from our sin and give us abundant and eternal life. Be encouraged to keep praising Jesus and following his agenda and timeframe in our lives. A great Sunday to worship and have Communion together – who will you bring with you?
Before the Cheering Stopped
#1 Jesus FULFILLED Prophecy (Matt 21:1-5)
#2 The Disciples & Crowd HONORED Jesus (Matt 21:6-9)
#3 The People INQUIRED about Jesus (Matt 21:10-11)
#4 Jesus REVEALED His Authority (Matt 21:12-16)
Question: When Jesus inspects your temple will He find living faith or lifeless religion?
A. Ways they rejected Jesus
1) They Set Traps
2) They Threw Stones
3) They Spread Lies
4) They Crucified Him
B. Ways we can reject Jesus
1) By Ignoring His Word
2) By Failing to Grow
3) By Failing to Reproduce
4) By Failing to Building His Kingdom
Holy Communion (Mark 14:22-26)

Biblical Peacemaking Toolbox for Conflict Resolution
Whenever people get together, there is bound to be conflict. The Bible is full of characters with relationship problems. Biblical conflict resolution tools can help us honor Christ in our lives and help restore relationships with people in our lives. Romans 12:18 says, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” While some people make it impossible to reconcile, you will be blessed when you do your part to try to bring healing and forgiveness.
We will look at some of the tools available from Ken Sande and Peacemaker Ministries in print and online. They include the 4 G’s of Peacemaking, The Seven A’s of Confession, the Four Promises of Forgiveness and the PAUSE Principle of Negotiating.
Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged to seek to live at peace with others and help others find peace in the midst of their conflicts.

How to Thrive Sealed by the Holy Spirit
We receive the Holy Spirit the moment we place our faith in Jesus and are saved. In the book of Ephesians we are taught that believers are sealed in Holy Spirit, a secure guarantee promising our future destiny with Christ, and a comforting guide to help us be successful serving the Lord now. Scripture shows us what to do and not do if we want to thrive in the Holy Spirit (and not grieve the Holy Spirit). Listen to this maeesage from Pastor Chris Teien at Rockwell Church to be encouraged to live yielded and empowered lives in the Spirit making a difference today and for eternity.

How to Share your Faith in Jesus with Assuring Confidence
Have you ever been so pleased with a service or product that you want to tell everyone about it that will listen? We know we are supposed to tell others about Jesus but sometimes we are afraid or don't know what to say. John wrote a letter to help us comprehend the benefits of our faith with assuring confidence (1 John 5). Listen to this audio from Rockwell Church to be encouraged to enthusiastically share your new life in Jesus and support others like camps and missionaries that share our message so that more people can be reached.
How to Share your Faith in Jesus with Assuring Confidence
1 John 5

How you can Experience Victory over Sin
Faith in Jesus brings forgiveness of sin but not immediate perfection. The deeper we grow in our faith, the more we become aware of our shortcomings and desire to experience victory over sin. No matter how hard we try on our own, it is impossible to live an absolutley perfect life every day. In Romans chapter 6 we read what has been done and what we can do to live a new life in Christ. The exciting process of becoming more like Jesus is called sanctification. Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged to see yourself dead to sin and alive to righteousness as you commit to follow God’s plans for your life. It’s communion Sunday https://rockwell.church
How you can Experience Victory Over Sin
1. Victory because we are CALLED to live a New Life (Romans 6.1-4)
2. Victory since we are Set Free from the CHAINS of Sin and Death (Romans 6.5-10)
3. Victory when we CONSIDER ourselves Alive in Christ (Romans 6.11)
4. Victory when we give ourselves COMPLETELY to God and His work (Romans 6.12-13)
5. Victory when we CHOOSE to obey God and become Holy (Romans 6.14-19)

How Jesus the Good Shepherd Keeps You Secure
When we accept that we are like sheep and Jesus is the Good Shepherd who was willing to sacrifice His life to protect the flock we start to understand how much our loving Savior cares for us. In John 10:27–28 Jesus says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” Listen to this message from Pastor Chris Teien at Rockwell Church to be encouraged to trust the Shepherd who wants us to experience peace and a full life.

How the Bible can Transform Your Life
The Bible is one of the easiest books to acquire and there is at least one in almost every home. While it is easy for many to take God's Word for granted, it can totally transform your life when it's valued, understood and properly applied. 1 Peter 1:23 says, "For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God." Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged to invest in and obey God's revealed will for your life.

How God’s Love can Change your Life
Listen and be encouraged with a message about God’s love that brings peace, develops character and transforms us with hope. We read these assuring words, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8. It’s worth celebrating how God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to rescue and save us and the Holy Spirit to fill us. Listen to Rockwell Church and be inspired to live in God’s incredible love.

A New Song: How God uses Music in Your Life

Imperfect Family Life
Recently we’ve been hearing about Prince Harry’s controversial book “Spare” where he published how he feels about his imperfect royal family. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David are a few Bible characters that had dysfunctional families. It’s interesting to think that Jesus grew up in a family with younger brothers and sisters in an unusual family situation. Jesus can understand our struggles.
Our family experience can make a positive or negative difference in our lives. No matter how old we are we can still be carrying pain and regret from our family experiences. Come to Rockwell Church to be encouraged to find help and healing from and/or for your imperfect family life.
We meet at 10:15am Sundays at 93 Midway Drive in Virginia, MN. Kids and adult Sunday School at 9am.

Sanctity of Life – Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
God is the creator of life and also the one who decides when it ends. While abortion may seem like a convenient way to take care of an unplanned pregnancy it can have terrible, life long side effects and it ends the life of an innocent pre-born human being. On this Sanctity of Human Life Sunday we share Scripture, video clips and stories of those who considered or completed abortions. Our church shows grace and love to those who have made bad choices in the past. We hope to teach and encourage people to make the right choices in the future. Listen as we look at life, abortion and euthanasia.

5 Easy Ways to Wreck Your Life
Last week we talked about planting seeds for a life of significance. This week we share 5 easy ways to wreck your life. There’s a lot more than five, but the five we are sharing are foundational and transformational. These are five things the Bible says you don’t want to skip doing or you will be very disappointed later in life. Come to Rockwell Church and be encouraged to live a WELL Life.

Planting for a Life of Significance
Many gardeners like to look at seed catalogs in January to see what they can plant in the spring, enjoy during the summer and harvest in the fall. God designed our world with seasons, seedtime, harvest and getting more seeds for future planting. If we reap what we sow, what do we want to see grow in 2023? Come to Rockwell Church to be encouraged to plant for a life a significance.

More of Jesus > Less of Me
John the Baptist was a humble servant who said “I must decrease, and He (Jesus) must increase (John 3:30) and James reminded us that we don’t know what life will be like tomorrow (James 4:14-17) so we ought to be ready to flex and pivot to adjust to God’s plan for our lives. When God Sends in His Angels
Luke 2:13-15 and Psalm 91. The Bible reveals some interesting things about these messengers from the Heavenly realm that are God's agents to help us and accomplish God's will. It also warns us that satan masquerades as an angel of light, and makes it clear that when we die we don't become angels. Christmas season is a fun time to pause and ponder Angels. Maybe we have even crossed paths with angels. Hebrews 13:2 says, "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Listen to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouragedto think about Heavenly messengers sent to minister to us.

Share God’s Gift of Joy even when you feel Unwelcome
One of our favorite parts of the Christmas story is when Angels appear to the social- outcast shepherds and invite them to go see the newborn Savior of the world. What they heard and what they experienced gave them confidence to find the baby and share all they saw and heard. In Luke 2:20 we read the best line: “The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” This week at Rockwell Church be encouraged that those of us who have placed our hope and trust in Jesus will be praising God for all eternity as we are experiencing all that we have been told and promised through Gods’ Word. Even though people in your life may not seem to want to hear the Good News from you, will you be faithful to share it?

Experience and Share God’s Gift of Peace even when your Future is Unclear
Jesus stepfather Joseph was given the great opportunity and the sometimes worrisome task of protecting and providing for Jesus and his mother Mary. Repeatedly an Angel would show up in Joseph’s dreams and tell him to move in a different direction to keep Jesus safe and to place Him right where God wanted Him to be. We read the Christmas story and see how this turned out well, but Joseph and Mary had to be faithful to trust God step by step, with a peace that surpasses understanding, even when their future was unclear. Watch or listen to be encouraged to trust God as He works out his plan in our lives and to experience peace that can only come from true faith in Jesus.

Experience & Share God’s Gift of Hope even when you feel Unworthy
We are starting a new message series to celebrate the Hope found through Christ and help deal with the things that may hinder people from experiencing the true meaning of Christmas. The first message from Luke chapter 1 is about sharing hope even when we feel unworthy. Elizabeth felt too old, Zachariah was left speechless after his unbelief, and Mary was troubled when the Angel showed up and said God has chosen you to do the most significant and unheard of thing in all of human history. The people in this chapter of the Bible were used by God to help bring salvation and hope into the world.

Thankful, Grateful and Blessed
We look at what the Bible says in Psalm 107 about being thankful, grateful and blessed even when life is difficult and you don’t know what’s going to happen next. Being thankful is an important part of worship. The Lord expects us to be grateful as He works things out in our lives and answers our prayers. When we follow God’s will and plans we can expect to be blessed. Be encouraged to see what God has done in the past and how we can trust Him with our future

Take Time to be Holy
We seem to make time for the things we value and desire. There’s an old hymn with a great back story called “Take Time to be Holy” that has encouraged Christ-followers for generations. It’s based on Hebrews 12:14, “Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.” The way we spend our time today can make a difference for eternity. Peace with God and others can make a huge difference now. Listen to be encouraged to pursue holiness and use your time wisely.

Surrender to God and Live in Love - Secrets to a Happy Life #10-11
We have been looking at the life of Joseph in the book of Genesis. Here’s a guy from a really dysfunctional family who stayed faithful to God all the way from the pit to the palace. Turns out all the twists and troubles in Joseph’s life were actually helpful for everyone involved, This is a great message to encourage those whose life isn’t really going exactly how they planned. In this week’s episode, while Joseph’s family struggles with their guilt from the past, Joseph finally reveals his true identity. As Joseph stayed faithful to God during the most difficult times of his life, God was helping him grow into the man he would need to be to save the world from starvation and be reunited with his estranged family. Finding Closure from your Past – Secrets to a Happy Life #7
We are looking at the life of Joseph and his troubled family in the book of Genesis. Joseph stayed faithful to God during the most difficult times of his life. His brothers kept their wicked secret from their father that they had threatened to kill Joseph, selling him into slavery, and convincing their dad that Joseph was killed by a wild animal. In this week’s episode, the brothers suspect their sins have found them out. What will they do now? Come to Rockwell Church this Sunday to be encouraged to own your past, seek forgiveness and find closure from guilt, shame and fear.

Trust in the Lord – Secrets to a Happy Life #6
We are looking at the life of Joseph in the book of Genesis. A guy who kept his faith in God even when it seemed everything was against him. Today we see how Joseph finally experiences the freedom and success he was dreaming of. It’s one of those ah-hah moments when he can now look back and see how God was using the hard situations (and maybe even testing his faith) to get Joseph ready to fulfill God’s big purpose for his life. Listen and be encouraged to trust in the Lord, and keep being faithful, even when things aren’t going the way you dreamed. It’s also communion Sunday.

Time for Endurance – Secrets to a Happy Life #5
We are looking at how God worked in the life of Joseph from the book of Genesis. Joseph had big dreams and high expectations that were shattered by brothers who hated him so much they almost killed him, a slave owner who punished him even though Joseph did everything right, and some guys he met in prison that forgot to work to help him. While Joseph did not lose his faith in God during these hard times, I’m sure he wondered what God’s plan was and why He was allowing Joseph to suffer as a captive. Listen and be encouraged that faithful endurance can lead to a great future and a productive life.

Loyalty - Secrets to a Happy Life#4
We are looking at how God worked in the life of Joseph from the book of Genesis. Even though he was sold into slavery by his own brothers, ripped away from his father and forced to serve someone else, Joseph was faithful to do right and honor God. A Daily Lifestyle of Worship
When we talk about worship as part of living a well life in Christ, we aren’t just talking about sitting in a church worship service, singing worship songs or praying worshipful prayers. Scripture makes it clear that God is watching for true worshipers who will worship Him through the things they say and do in their everyday lives. Jesus says in John 4:23-24, “the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” Listen to this message from Rockwell Church to be encouraged to pursue a daily lifestyle of worship as we look at some real practical ways that we can become more effective worshipers, the kind God seeks and rewards. What does it really mean when we say, “Rockwell Church exists to connect people of all ages to Christ the Rock” as we are sharing what our church is all about? We know Jesus taught the wise person built his house on the rock (not the sand). And we know Jesus told Peter upon this rock He would build His church. And we know that 1 Cor 10:3-4 says, “…they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ.” Come explore with us the imagery of Christ the Rock and be encouraged to find satisfaction and security in Him. Plant Seeds or Get Weeds
Winter is over, spring has sprung and hopefully this current swampy-mud season will lead to a quick green up. Jesus taught about seeds and how they grow and then are harvested – it’s interesting to think about. An old comedian Fred Allen used to say, “Most of us spend the first six days of each week sowing wild oats; then we go to church on Sunday and pray for a crop failure.” What seeds are you planting in your life and what do you expect it to yield? If you don’t plant anything in the open areas of your life you can be sure some kind of weed will gladly take up that empty space. Listen to this Rockwell Church audio to be encouraged to plant seeds that lead to a delightful harvest. It’s communion Sunday, a great time to reflect on your life purpose, plans and priorities.

Seeking to Spread Awesome Joy
It’s Palm Sunday and we are going to focus on how Jesus, motivated by awesome joy, purposefully went to the cross to rescue us from our sins. Pastor Chris will share seven things that will help you experience and spread that kind of joy. Hebrews 12:2–3 says, “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” This is a great season to worship the Lord and invite others to come to church. Gods Guide to a Life Well Lived - Keys to Success
It’s Communion Sunday - a perfect time to reflect on how you have been spending your life and choose to recommit to pursuing the Lord’s plans for us. When you were in school did you ever listen closely to your teacher or professor to find out what was on the test or how to get a good grade? In Mark 12:28-34 Jesus told us clearly that if we do two things we will be on the way to a life well lived. As you know, they are to love God and love your neighbor – pretty simple right? But what does that really mean and what are some ways we can put that into practice? When You Don’t Think You Can Do It - Jesus Can Help!
God is all powerful and able to help you accomplish His purposes for your life. He guides and provides according to His perfect timing and sovereign will often answering prayer in amazing ways. While this famous verse is sometimes used out of context to declare that we can selfishly do whatever we want, it is still a powerful promise when we are in God’s divine plan that says “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” (Phil 4:13 NLT). Christmas is more than a historical story, a cultural tradition, or just a church remembrance. Christmas is the time of year we celebrate Jesus, our Emmanuel, who came to earth to teach us how to live and through his sacrifice makes it possible for us to live with Him forever. While it can seem like the Christian life is a list of impossible to follow rules, it is actually a grace-filled relationship that leads to inner peace and an outward behavior change. When we take our eyes off ourselves and focus on the Lord are hearts are encouraged and we are inspired to feel and act thankful as part of our daily walk with God. Listen and be encouraged and see how Psalm 96 shows us ways we can put our thankfulness to the Lord and others in action. “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 Pastor Chris Teien pastorchris@rockwell.church #rockwellchurchmn #virginiamn #ironrange

God’s Rewards for You
It’s absolutely amazing that the God who created us and can save us from sin also offers us rewards in this life and the life to come. Listen to be encouraged by God’s Rewards for You “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6). Too Little? Too Much? I Need Enough Rest!
This Sunday our topic is about sleep, rest and recreation. God who created us knows that we need to recharge by resting and enjoying life with a little recreation. Did you know that rest and sleep is a gift from God? “It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones”. Psalm 127:2 (NLT). When we are anxious we can suffer sleepless nights and when things aren’t going as we hope we can get restless. A Topical Bible “Sleep” Study reveals some very interesting things about sleep, rest and recreation and we are going to look at some of them this Sunday. Listen and be encouraged to enjoy a proper balance of work, sleep, rest and recreation in your life. This will be a fun and inspirational time to better understand God’s principles for living a Christ-honoring life. Overcoming the Power of Fear
Fear is real and can keep us from fulfilling God’s purpose in our life. Faith can give us courage to face fear with confidence. The Bible is full of examples of fearful people that were empowered and strengthened by the Lord to succeed. Listen and be encouraged to overcome the power of fear in your Christian life. Too Little? Too Much? I Need Enough Stuff!
In this life we are surrounded by a million opportunities to buy stuff but are often frustrated that we can’t have much of it because we don’t have the millions of dollars needed to get it. Some of us have too much stuff and some of us really do need more stuff. The stuff you choose to purchase, keep, give away and throw away can define the kind of life you live. I have met millionaires who appeared poor and poor people deep in debt trying to appear to be millionaires. The Bible has a lot to say about money and possessions, including Paul instructing Timothy, “Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth…. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:6,10. Don’t spend your life trying to find contentment apart from God! Listen and be encouraged to worship God with the stuff He provides for you and to gain a right perspective on the temporary finances flowing in and out of your life.
