You are very welcome to this weeks Podcast Rosemary O'Shaughnessy digitalcontentmanager.ie
This week I will be chatting about innovation and business success. It is great to see all the businesses that have thrived during the challenges of Covid19.
Earlier in the week I read an article in Fast Company about the The most innovative design companies of 2022 what got my attention was Canva was listed.
I have been using Canva for years for my own business and customers . I am also a Canva Champon. Canva is a design tool which can be used to create your online and offline designs.
It is used by 85% of the Fortune 500 companies and local businesses and much more. I found myself thinking of Canva's Corporate values and I believe that have been important in their success story.
What are they
Make Complex Things Simple Set Crazy Big Goals and Make Them Happen Be A Force For Good Empower Others Pursue Excellence Be A Good HumanMake complex simple , in other wise save time and you can achieve more when things are not difficult. Set Crazy Goals Canva, Canva have empowered non designers to design. By being a force for good Canva have created momentum which has helped there business grown and innovate. Empower and teach and that has resulted in a community to help Canva grow. Of course pursue excellence and see what you can achieve as a result. Be a good human we all want to live in a world full of good human's especially during these times.
Earlier this week a business man asked for my help after looking for the answer in You Tube how to do something in Canva. He found an old video not up to date and felt frustrated. Asked me for help and I showed him how it could be done. Something for him that was complex and I was able to make it simple. Because Canva innovate yes there site changes , but also extra capability what you can achieve using Canva. If there was not innovation Canva would not have grown to the business it is today with such a loyal following.

Are you losing 20% of your sales?
Welcome to this weeks Podcast this is Rosemary O'Shaughnessy digitalcontentmanager.ie. I will be chatting this week about how a business lost 20% of a sale and the sales process to avoid that happening.
During Covid19 are shopping habits have changed and how we spend our money. Do you understand the steps and sales process your customers take before spending their hard earned cash with your business.
I buy my groceries online how did I make that decision it was due to the offline and online world I noticed a van saying FREE local delivery I visited the website to see if it had everything I wanted in stock on the website I noticed some things I wanted were missing I talked with the owner of the business and we agreed I would get the special offers online and then email my grocery list and include the items that I want that they do not promote online like senior dog food. Is it clear how your customers contact you and ask questions to see if you have an extra product or service and can you source it for them. Like in my case senior dog food. Online FAQ or to contact the business offline for example Make it easy for your customers they are busy if the buying process is complicated they could decide not to buy. Like I decided to buy 20% less when I was not offered options when certain food were out of stock. Make it easy for your customer to buy more not less. I buy food every week, 52 weeks of the year if I buy 20% less and other customers that s a lot of money for any business. Now are you using a CRM Customer Relationship System
What is a CRM it s a way to keep a note of those extra things your customers like or do not . Also to give you information to offer that extra customer service to stand out from your competition.
Examples are HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce
In my example if I mention my birthday is happening in 11 months time and I like chocolate cake , the business could have a reminder to send a slice of chocolate cake with my weekly grocery delivery.
I would be so happy and would tell friends family and more . Happy Customers help grow businesses.
Do your customers know what you offer Are you offering quality reliable service If they want to buy something new from you do they know how to ask? Many thanks for listening to this Podcast this is Rosemary O'Shaughnessy Digital Content Manager

Why Confidence helps your create success for your business with Mindset Coach Amanda O'Rourke
As Amanda discussed she works with high achieving business women to help them thrive and enjoy what they do. The focus of our chat was about the importance of confidence for business women.
Amanda explained how a lack of confidence can affect the financial success for business owners. Confidence gives you energy knowing you can get things done. Believing what you can achieve. Relationships are very important with clients and potential clients. If you lack confidence you might not even have a conversation to get new business. Confidence helps your business grow as you will push yourself to achieve more. You will try new things. Confidence builds confidence the more you do something the more confidence you will build around that skill. Confidence is something that can always grow and develop with practice. Set goals and believe that you can achieve , as a result you are more likely to get results. Confidence has helped many business people learn new skills and adapt which has helped business during Covid19 and thrive.Amanda's Recommendations for Business
Be kind to yourself. Do what you need to do to be in a positive mindset. You need to be in a positive mindset to be the best version of yourself to give value to your clients. Why does Carol believe networking is important for business.
It is important to help businesses grow through contacts and associations Learn from people get support and build new contacts. Networking is usually inexpensiveHow to network effectively.
Have a strategy What results do you want to achieve with your networking Be selective with how you spend your time and what events to attend. Choose networking groups that fit with your interests and what you do Networking is it very important to schedule time and follow up your contacts. As the saying goes the fortune can be in the follow up. Speak within your comfort zone and skills that you will have confident to speak about. Be prepared, about what you are going to speak about. Pick two to three things to speak about. Be calm, breath and take a pause if you need to think. If you do not know something , tell someone , that you will get back to them about the question after you double check. Ask questions they get attention. Questions can open conversations. Listen do not just talk.Establish a point of contact so you can follow up and learn more about the person and their business.

Sports Therapist & Belfast Futsal?
Sport matters to us all whether we are spectators or players and it is fair to say that the last two years have brought chaos into the world of sport but hopefully we are coming out the other end.
My podcast this week is with Aidan Raftery a Sports injury therapist who is an online friend for a number of years and the podcast arose out of Aidan's recent appointment as sports physio for Sparta Belfast Futsal Club who will be competing in a UEFA tournament later this month in Estonia.Aidan is no stranger to the sport of football futsal because he previously filled a similar role in Kiev in 2019 for the Irish diabetic futsal team.
Many of you may have limited knowledge about futsal but to generalize it is a high intensity indoor football sport which is recognised for being great for ball control and skills and is exciting to watch because it is an attacking form of football that is non stop end-to-end stuff
