Luke 9:37-50 Understanding the Kingdom Jesus continues to reveal more and more about His identity as Christ and King. As He does, we find that those around Him are wrestling with what it means to follow Him and live as people of the new and eternal Kingdom.

Luke 9:23-36 Glorious Christ Living for Christ requires denial of self but it will all be worth it because a day is coming when He'll return in glory! A great and fearful day it will be!

Luke 9:10-22 Who is Jesus? Luke is writing the gospel to give the readers certainty about the true identity of Jesus Christ. In this passage, we begin to see the disciples' understanding grow regarding the true nature and identity of Jesus Christ

Luke 9:1-6 Spreading the Gospel

 Jesus gives power and ability to His disciples to show that God's Kingdom has truly come near. Though not all will receive it, the message of eternal life starts to be spread throughout the world.

Jesus faced some tough temptations from the devil. Yet, the love for the Father, the power of the Spirit and the Word of God helped Him to stand firm under trial. We too can stand firm as we look to Jesus as not only our Saviour but also our example of true and right worship of God

Our Living Hope 1Peter 1:3-9  God's mercy revealed in the death and resurrection of Christ is the basis of true and lasting hope. Christian hope is different to all the rest; it's certain, imperishable, undefiled, and unfading. Salvation is ours all because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord.  

Friday 2023 Isaiah 53:5

Jesus Christ took the place of sinners on the cross. He bore our sin in His body so that we could be justified in the sight of God by faith in Him. The atonement is a monumental display of the love and mercy of God towards sinners and worthy of deep contemplation by all. 

Luke3:21-38 Definitely Divine  Luke has given specific details to Theophilus to prove beyond doubt that Jesus is definitely the Son of God. In this passage, it is confirmed again by the testimony of John, by the Holy Spirit, by the voice of His Father, and even by history itself. Luke has given us these details that we may know for sure that Jesus is definitely divine.  

Luke 3:1-21 John the Forerunner

John the Baptist is the greatest of all the prophets because of his highly privileged role as the forerunner for Christ. John had the privilege of pointing people directly to the Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ. 

Luke 2:41-52

Luke's gospel clearly presents the evidence for Jesus being the Son of God. In 2:41-52  the first words of Jesus recorded for us also affirm the truth of this. Afterall, where else would the Son of God be but in His Father's house?

 The Saviour of Israel and the world has arrived! Many eyewitnesses affirm the promises of God from long ago, including a man named Simeon and a woman named Anna. These devout and righteous people saw and proclaimed the Lord's Salvation.

God's grace is poured out upon the virgin Mary as she receives the good news of her baby who will be called Jesus. The baby Jesus is a King who will reign forever and lead to the grace of God being poured out upon countless others. This passage highlights the grace of the Father, the glory of the Son, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the belief of a servant

Luke 1:5-25  Preparing The Way

Throughout salvation history God has been preparing the way for the promised Messiah. The conception of John the Baptist is a key part of that plan

Luke, the companion of the apostle Paul, beloved physician and historian has given us an exact record of the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ so that we can be confident about our salvation.
