With each passing year, it seems like I meet more and more people who do not celebrate or do not like Christmas.  They believe Christmas originated as a pagan holiday. They have been taught and told that Christmas is simply a “Christianized” pagan holiday. In the same fashion that we should not celebrate Halloween because of its origins, they believe we should not celebrate Christmas.  But, is it true??? Is Christmas really just a copycat of a pagan holiday? Did Christians rip-off a pagan holiday and create Christmas? Did Christians 1900 years ago (when Christmas first started being celebrated) decide to celebrate Christmas so they could keep their pagan traditions?  We will answer those questions and more in today's episode!

Many times I have been asked about the Apocrypha. Some have no idea what the apocrypha is, but those who came from the catholic church will know exactly what I am talking about. Most people don’t see the Apocrypha today unless they are a catholic. Why? Because catholics include the Apocryphal books in their Bible. The question is: are they part of Scripture? Are they inspired? Should they be contained within the Bible? We will answer that question and more in today’s episode!

I recently had someone ask what my opinion of "The Chosen" was and should Christians watch it.   "The Chosen" claims to be the first multi-season show about the life of Christ and, as of March 2021, has had over 100 million views in the first season and a half.  The question is: should a Independent Baptist watch it?  Should an Independent Baptist encourage others to watch "The Chosen"?  We will answer that question, give pros, cons, and more in this episode!

As parents, we have the responsibility to teach our children in all of areas of life, including the area of finances.  In this episode, I give 3 areas you need to address in the area of finances with your children, as well as some practical tips for daily use.  I pray that this episode will help in teaching your children to have wise money habits!

"Don't judge me!  The Bible says judge not!"  

Have you ever had someone respond to you that way before?  Have you ever had someone throw out “Judge not”?  Out of all passages of Scripture, that the world seems to have memorized, “Judge not” seems to be one of the most prominent.  Most people don’t even know where to locate the verse, but they sure do know the first two words.  Typically, you might have just pointed out something that is wrong to someone…and they blow up.  “Don’t judge me!”  Today, I’m here to defend truth.  I’m here to defend what the Bible actually says.  What does the Bible actually saying about “judging”?

God’s will can often be viewed as a dark, ominous, and often mystical legendary lore that cannot be found.  This simply is not true.  You can know the will of God for your life.  You can know what God wants you to do with your life!  In fact, in our Bible passage today, He talks about us understanding what His will is.  Everything in our life is to be done in the will of God!  You can know it!  You can find the will of God for your life.  Find out how to know His will today!
