Governor Scott Walker discusses the 2020 Vice Presidential Debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris
Oct 09, 202027:40

If grading on substance over style, Trump wins first debate.
If grading on substance over style, Trump wins first debate.
If you believe ideas matter, President Donald Trump clearly won the debate on Tuesday night. The president defended his record and, for the most part, made strong arguments for his ideas.
Having said that, it is hard to tell if the performance changed any minds during the debate. Data shows that undecided voters were turned off by both candidates. Frank Luntz described their mood about the debate, saying “my undecideds looked at that and said, how do you expect me to make up my mind if you behave like this?” They were more concerned about the style than the substance of the debate.
Strategically, Mr. Trump was right to occasionally interrupt former Vice President Joe Biden when he was saying things that were incorrect. The president clearly dominated the stage. Ironically, it reminded me of the 2010 vice presidential debate where then-Vice President Biden consistently spoke over then-Congressman Paul Ryan... Listen to the full podcast for the full story.

We will never forget the lives that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001
We will never forget the lives that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001
"I can hear you! The rest of the world hears you! And the people – and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon." President George W. Bush came to thank the first responders searching the World Trade Center’s remains just days after the attack on September 11, 2001. These words were his spontaneous response when someone yelled that they could not hear him from the crowd.
Amazingly, the students in our schools today never heard those words because they were born after the 9/11 attacks on America. Instead of living through it, all of the students from kindergarten to high school, plus many of the freshmen and sophomores in college who are 19 or younger learned about it from other people. For them, learning about 9/11 is like me learning about the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Now, more than ever, we must never forget the lives lost. We must never forget the heroic actions of so many who ran into the danger. And it is important to remember who did this to us—and why they did it.
We lost nearly 3,000 innocent lives on September 11, 2001. Hijacked commercial airplanes hit the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Another hit the side of the Pentagon outside of Washington, D.C. And a final plane, believed to be headed towards the White House, the U.S. Capitol, or another major site, crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
We will never forget.

Biden Blows Off Wisconsin and other thoughts on DNC Convention
Democrats were supposed to gather in my home state of Wisconsin this week. Instead, they held a virtual national convention. Here are my observations.
Theme: It seems that the unconscious idea of the DNC Convention is feelings over facts. And the press seems to play along with them. Unfortunately for Democrats, facts do not care about your feelings.
Joe Biden: He wants to be president so bad that he has outsourced his agenda to the radical left, giving control to Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others in return for their support.

Biden fully outsources his agenda to radical left with pick of Harris
Biden fully outsources his agenda to radical left with pick of Harris
Joe Biden ran as a moderate during the primaries, and he’s been running to the far left ever since he sewed up the Democratic nomination. His pick of Sen. Kamala Harris is another example of how he has outsourced his agenda to the radical element of his party.
During her brief time in the Senate and as a presidential candidate, Ms. Harris has staked remarkable radical positions. Newsweek ranks her voting record as more liberal than Sen. Bernie Sanders.’ She was one of the first to sign on as a co-sponsor of Mr. Sanders‘ extreme plan to eliminate private health care plans and allow the government to take over our health care system.
Tragically, we’ve seen how incompetent government can be when New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered people who tested positive for the coronavirus into nursing homes. Sadly, thousands needlessly died. Letting the federal government run our health care system will likely lead to long waits for medical attention, rationing of care and many medical professionals leaving their positions... Hidin' Biden stays in basement and skips Milwaukee
Hidin' Biden stays in basement and skips Milwaukee
Hidin’ Biden announced this week that he would no longer travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to accept the Democratic presidential nomination. Instead, Joe Biden will accept the nomination in Delaware (presumably in his basement where he has mostly been hiding out for months).
The former vice president spent much of 2020 hidden in the basement of his home away from the questions of the national press corps. Some of his critics blame it on his age (if elected, he will be 78 on Inauguration Day, while Ronald Reagan was 70 when he was sworn in as the 40th president).
Others question Mr. Biden’s mental stability. Joe Rogan, who endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders earlier this year, said on his podcast, “I believe there is also a large group of people that are very uncomfortable with a man who seems to be mentally compromised winning the election and doing so by hiding,” and went on to say, “He was just at another thing the other day and forgot where he was.”
The real reasons Mr. Biden’s campaign team is largely hiding him from the public are not his advanced age or some sort of early-stage dementia. The real reasons are Mr. Biden’s years of gaffes, his tendency to say anything to get elected and his embrace of radical positions to win over Sanders supporters.
Mr. Biden’s more than four decades of public life are littered with gaffes. Shortly after taking office as vice president, Mr. Biden spoke to members of the House Democratic Caucus about how Democrats could suffer at the polls in 2010 for supporting the $900 billion “economic-stimulus” package. At their annual retreat, he said, “If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s still a 30% chance we’re going to get it wrong.”
A few years earlier, then-U.S. Sen. Joe Biden was caught on tape trying to connect with a Native-American person saying, “In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian-Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.” Hard to imagine a Republican saying this without calls for his or her resignation.
More troubling than Mr. Biden’s gaffes are his years of seemingly saying just about anything to get elected to office. During his first of three attempts to be elected president, Mr. Biden said, “I started thinking as I was coming over here, Why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university?”
The press found out that Mr. Biden had plagiarized exact passages from a speech by British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock. They later found links to other speeches.
............. All that and more.

Biden, The Taxman, doesn't understand that tax cuts work
Biden, The Taxman, doesn't understand that tax cuts work
Joe Biden will be the new taxman and will start by repealing Trump tax cuts
“If you drive a car, I’ll tax the street
“If you try to sit, I’ll tax your seat
“If you get too cold, I’ll tax the heat
“If you take a walk, I’ll tax your feet
“‘Cause I’m the taxman, yeah, I’m the taxman”
Were the words to the Beatles’ classic song “Taxman” a preview to a possible Joe Biden presidency? Looking at his statements during the campaign, I am convinced that Joe Biden will be the new taxman.
“First thing I’d do is repeal those Trump tax cuts,” Mr. Biden told a crowd in Columbia, South Carolina, in May 2019. A repeal of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act would impose a significant tax increase on the hard-working people of America.
Under the Trump tax cuts, a typical family of four earning the median family income of $73,000 would receive a 58% reduction in their federal taxes — which is a tax cut of more than $2,000. That’s real money.
A single parent with one child and an annual income of $41,000 would see a 73% reduction in federal taxes — a tax cut of more than $1,300. Again, real money for that parent and child... Tune in to hear the full podcast

What if Santa was a Socialist?
What if Santa was a Socialist?
Imagine if Santa were a socialist.
Everyone would get the same thing for Christmas. There would not be any creative or handmade gifts. Each would be a bland, standard-issue, non-offensive, gender-neutral gift designed by a bureaucrat in the North Pole.
In fact, Santa would no longer be male and most likely would be gender-neutral. All references to him or his in the stories about Santa would be removed so as not to offend anyone. No more white hair and beard as Santa would not want to be confused with a boomer.
Gifts would be given regardless of whether someone was naughty or nice. There would be no regard for Christmas Spirit or work ethic. It would not matter if you believe in Santa Claus or not, everyone would receive the same gift.
And about half of us would be paying for everyone else’s gifts. Forget about charity. Santa would have a comfy government job and many of us would pay much higher taxes to cover the costs of all of the gifts given out each year.
If Santa were a socialist, he would get around to delivering gifts about as fast as most socialist nations get around to providing essential government services — which means you’d probably get your presents some time next summer. Clearly, he and his helpers would not be working on a holiday — even at time-and-a-half — and certainly not if it wasn’t spelled out in their contract. So you can kiss Christmas Eve goodbye.
Santa’s helpers would be called vertically challenged and uniquely eared. All references to “elves” would be branded as insensitive. Those who used that language would be shunned...

Why Impeachment Will Cost Democrats the 2020 Election
Why Impeachment Will Cost Democrats the 2020 Election
Democrats are blinded by hate and their partisan impeachment process is a loser with voters. We've seen this happen before. The 2012 Recall Election is a great example of Democrats overplaying their hand and we are starting to see it in polling across battleground states. And now, we can look to the UK's general election results as another example of what happens when leaders like Boris Johnson actually listen to voters.

Bio for Governor Scott Walker
Scott Walker is an American politician who served as the 45th governor of Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. A Republican, he was first elected governor in 2010, defeating an attempted recall in 2012 and being elected for a second term in 2014. He formerly served as Milwaukee County Executive and in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Walker was raised in Iowa and in Delavan, Wisconsin, before attending Marquette University. While in school, he worked for IBM before leaving his senior year to take an opportunity to work full-time in finance and development for the American Red Cross. In 1993, Scott was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly. Then, in 2002, he became the first Republican elected Milwaukee County Executive. Voters in the overwhelmingly Democrat county re-elected Scott by increased margins in 2004 and 2008 because he kept his promises to continuously reform county government and put taxpayers first.
On January 3, 2011, Scott Walker was inaugurated as the 45th Governor of Wisconsin. One of his first reforms, Act 10, helped eliminate the state’s $3.6 billion budget deficit without raising taxes or cutting health care for those in need. It gave schools and local governments the tools to balance budgets without the massive layoffs seen in other states.
On June 5, 2012, Scott Walker became the first Governor in American history to survive a recall election. He received both more votes and a higher percentage of the vote than in his 2010 election, proving again that Wisconsinites want leaders in office who keep their promises. On November 4, 2014, Scott was re-elected to a second term.
