On the 138th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we're interviewing Instagram foodie, Cindy Luc (@ms_cyndicate). Originally, her and her brother started another food account, @savorysyndicate, but her individual food account has flourished as well. Not only does Cindy love showcasing foods from new and small businesses, but she also loves telling the story of the owners behind these local restaurants. Tune in as Cindy tells you some of her current spots and why she loves supporting businesses around her area.
Also, after 138 weeks consecutive episodes and over 2 1/2 years of nonstop shows, it's time to take a little break. We're going on a little hiatus to recharge and get some vacation time from our show. We'll be back very soon with some fresh new content and new interviews. In the meantime, if you're new to our podcast or have been behind, now would be a great time for you to catch up on old episodes. We'll be back very soon just in time for the summer season and the warm weather!
As for what we ate this week, Nelson checked out the Issaquah Farmers Market that just opened this past weekend and made a bottle swap with Seeking Kombucha and took home breakfast sandwiches from Nature's Last Stand Farm.
Meanwhile, Monica checked out Chef Shot Nakajima's Taku pop-up with other contestants on Top Chef. Taku will have their Grand Reopening May 5th. She also sampled donuts from the Flour Box, visited the Mami Tran Food Truck and picked up a bag of frozen egg rolls, attended a virtual event hosted by Intentionalist, stopped by Cookies Country Chicken twice, and stopped by the Chinatown/ID for some Young Tea and BeanFish food truck for taiyaki.

Maysa, along with her business partner of over 10 years, Treva Catsandres, opened up Cinnaholic Seattle 2 and 1/2 years ago and their vegan custom cinnamon rolls have been a hit. Operating as a full on bakery, you can also order cinnacakes, banana bread, cookie dough, and so much more. Tune in as Maysaa tells us how she and Treva started and made Cinnaholic Seattle so popular.

Episode 130 - Tangents, Openings, Happy Hour, and more!
On the 130th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, the show might have gone off the rails just a tiny bit. Nelson recently visited Smith Tower for Happy Hour this past week and it made us reminisce about the first time we both visited the Smith Tower for the first time and this selfie. Smith Tower is reopened for happy hour, cocktails, and food, so make sure to check out Seattle's bar with the best views.
In addition to the Smith Tower, Nelson also went out to West Seattle for dinner at Lady Jaye, returned to Mangosteen and BobaBar for drinks, wings, and popcorn chicken, had hot pot with the family, and picked up an order of wings from Tony's Bakery and Deli.
Meanwhile, Monica had lunch at Dumpling Generation in Lake Forest Park, had another cake delivery this time with BabyCakes, had savory pies and cookies delivered by GoodAFBakedGoods, and also had beer delivered to her from Logan Brewing in Burien.

On the 125th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we chat with Food Instagrammer, Phil Mar (@philmaaaeats). Phil has been consistently grabbing takeout over the past several months and has been trying his best to support local Seattle restaurants. Finally, she finished off her week at Pecado Bueno in Fremont.

On the 123rd episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we sit down with Emily Allport, owner of Lowrider Cookie Company. Emily and Lowrider Cookie Company makes some of the best cookies in Seattle. There are currently two locations in Seattle in the Central District and Georgetown and they are also offering nationwide shipping. Tune in as Emily tells us how Lowrider Cookie Company went from beginning at Farmers Markets and Pop-Ups to having permanent locations.

Episode 120 - Dear 2021...
On the 120th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we're ringing in the new year with "Dear 2021" letters. Like many of us, we can't wait for 2020 to be behind us and for the upcoming new year to grace us with health and normalcy. On this episode, we decided to write letters to tell you what 2020 meant to us and what we're excited 2021 will look like in our eyes.

Meanwhile, Monica had Flamin' Hot Cheetos Sushi Rolls from Hissho Sushi, sampled fermented products from Firefly Kitchen, and revisited Kidd Valley, Tres House of Cheesesteaks, Pho Tic Tac, and Pop Pop Thai.
Episode 118 - The Holiday Episode
On the 118th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, it's our Holiday Episode for 2020! Since everything has been different this whole year, we're doing our Holiday edition a little unconventional. For this year, we're telling you 6 Holiday candies we cannot stand. You'll want to hear this as some of our choices are quite controversial. Also, we give you our version of 12 Days of Christmas (food). We made a Top 12 list of our favorite foods we ate this year for you to enjoy. We tried to put it in song form in honor of the 12 Days of Christmas, but one of us didn't quite follow the rules correctly. Make sure to tune in to hear what happened.
As for the rest of the show, the Washington State Beef Commission sent us both lovely gifts over the week and we wanted to tell you all about it.
As for what we ate this week, Nelson made another visit to Terry's Kitchen and went on two mini food crawls, one in Issaquah and one in Chinatown. In Issaquah, he visited Fischer Meats, grabbed takeout from Umi Cafe, and boba from ShareTea Issaquah. While in Chinatown, he got the last of the desserts from SuSu, went to Young Tea and sampled their Holiday Pop-Up Dessert Jelly Trio, and got wonton noodles and congee from Mike's Noodle House.
Meanwhile, Monica revisited several of her favorite spots including T'Juana Tacos, Sisi Kay Thai, CheBogz Food Truck at Chuck's Hop Shop, Pagliacci, Bell's Pastries, and Seattle Cinnamon Rolls. She also picked up a meal kit from Joey Kitchen U-Village, shared hot chocolate bombs from Sweet Nothings and More with her son, had pizza from Spark PIzza, and got takeout from Laem Buri and Ivar's.

Meanwhile, Monica visited Nacho Mama's for their special Cantonese BBQ Pork Nachos, made another stop to Piroshky Piroshky, got free delivery from Wing Stop, ordered more Kukuruza popcorn, checked out the Sweet Nothings and More Pop-Up at Bells Cookie Co., and had burgers at the new Shake Shack in U-Village.

On the 116th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we chat with food photographer, Mallory Sczygelski. Mallory's Instagram account originally intended to showcase all of Seattle's best spots, but over the last several months, it has now evolved into predominantly a food account around Seattle. Fairly new to the Emerald City, listen in as she discusses food photography and her favorite spots she's recently discovered for takeout and outdoor dining .

You probably have seen his artwork all around Seattle Restaurants via his menu art and through his murals all around Seattle. His #staystrong Seattle works on boards in business storefronts throughout the city can be found all over since the beginning of the shutdown. On the 99th Episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we sit down with Suzana Olmos, owner of both Lazy Susan and Citizen Cafe and Campfire in Lower Queen Anne. Listen in as Suzana tells you how both these restaurants and cafes got its start and how the community of Lower Queen Anne is so special to Lazy Susan and Citizen Cafe. He also dined at Vinason Pho and Grill and Homer with friends.
Meanwhile, Monica had an early dinner at Citizen Cafe and Campire, sampled strawberry cheesecake ice cream bars from @annie_eatsfood, visited Oh Bear Cafe and Timeless Tea, had a sneak peak with Intentionalist at the soon to be opened Local Tide, and a mini food crawl with her son around Pike Place Market.

On the 97th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we sit down with Garrett Doherty, Chef Owner of both the newly opened Tyger Tyger and Lionhead restaurants. Monica and Nelson both met up with Garrett and discussed what it was like to open a new restaurant during a pandemic. Tyger Tyger is the third restaurant Garrett has opened in Seattle. Listen in as we chat and discuss how different it is to have a new restaurant in Lower Queen Anne next to Climate Pledge Arena in comparison to having Lionhead located on Broadway.

Meanwhile, Monica ate through her equal share this week visiting Pike Place Market and picking up food from the Atrium Kitchen, Ellenos, and Cobb's Popcorn. She also visited Miir Flagship for some True North nitro, Dick's Drive-In, Pagliacci for some pizza and Gelatiamo, and her weekly outing to Mangosteen/Cut and Cook BBQ/Boba Bar.

On the 96th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we talk with event and food photographer extraordinaire, Jeriel Calamayan (@jcalamansi). Jeriel has made coffee into an art form with his stunning photography on the subject. A Seattle Chef in his past life, Jeriel made the transition into becoming a photographer shooting candid portraits and lots of coffee. Tune in as he tells us about his story and some of his favorite food spots.
In addition, Monica and Nelson recap a week that included having lunch together at Bongo's Cafe in Greenlake. They also both made Fried Rice at home and compared it with one another. As for eating out, Nelson had a beer at Urban Family Brewing and grabbed Cheesesteaks from Tres House of Cheesesteaks.

He also visited Tougo Coffee on Yesler Way to purchase coffee for his new UnoCasa Pour Over Coffee Maker.
Meanwhile, Monica recapped the week, which included the Father's Day set from Bells Pastries, a trip to Nacho Mama's Food Truck, new puffle waffles from Cold Plate Dessert, dinner with friends at Chaiyo Thai, another dinner from Canlis, and a revisit to Sisi Kay Thai.

On the 93rd episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, it's a host-ful episode. It's just us this week, no interviews, no extra segments, all unadulterated all the time! Tune in as we both talk about reality TV food shows, making Breakfast foods, Monica's first road trip in the past three months, and her weekly mocking of Nelson as well as the regular food fare.
