Originally, her and her brother started another food account, @savorysyndicate, but her individual food account has flourished as well. Not only does Cindy love showcasing foods from new and small businesses, but she also loves telling the story of the owners behind these local restaurants. Tune in as Cindy tells you some of her current spots and why she loves supporting businesses around her area. Also, after 138 weeks consecutive episodes and over 2 1/2 years of nonstop shows, it's time to take a little break. We're going on a little hiatus to recharge and get some vacation time from our show. We'll be back very soon with some fresh new content and new interviews. In the meantime, if you're new to our podcast or have been behind, now would be a great time for you to catch up on old episodes. We'll be back very soon just in time for the summer season and the warm weather!  As for what we ate this week, Nelson checked out the Issaquah Farmers Market that just opened this past weekend and made a bottle swap with Seeking Kombucha and took home breakfast sandwiches from Nature's Last Stand Farm.  Meanwhile, Monica checked out Chef Shot Nakajima's Taku pop-up with other contestants on Top Chef. Taku will have their Grand Reopening May 5th. She also sampled donuts from the Flour Box, visited the Mami Tran Food Truck and picked up a bag of frozen egg rolls, attended a virtual event hosted by Intentionalist, stopped by Cookies Country Chicken twice, and stopped by the Chinatown/ID for some Young Tea and BeanFish food truck for taiyaki. Nelson recently visited Smith Tower for Happy Hour this past week and it made us reminisce about the first time we both visited the Smith Tower for the first time and this selfie. Smith Tower is reopened for happy hour, cocktails, and food, so make sure to check out Seattle's bar with the best views. On the 118th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, it's our Holiday Episode for 2020! Since everything has been different this whole year, we're doing our Holiday edition a little unconventional. For this year, we're telling you 6 Holiday candies we cannot stand. You'll want to hear this as some of our choices are quite controversial. Also, we give you our version of 12 Days of Christmas (food). We made a Top 12 list of our favorite foods we ate this year for you to enjoy. We tried to put it in song form in honor of the 12 Days of Christmas, but one of us didn't quite follow the rules correctly. Make sure to tune in to hear what happened. As for the rest of the show, the Washington State Beef Commission sent us both lovely gifts over the week and we wanted to tell you all about it. As for what we ate this week, Nelson made another visit to Terry's Kitchen and went on two mini food crawls, one in Issaquah and one in Chinatown. In Issaquah, he visited Fischer Meats, grabbed takeout from Umi Cafe, and boba from ShareTea Issaquah. While in Chinatown, he got the last of the desserts from SuSu, went to Young Tea and sampled their Holiday Pop-Up Dessert Jelly Trio, and got wonton noodles and congee from Mike's Noodle House. Meanwhile, Monica revisited several of her favorite spots including T'Juana Tacos, Sisi Kay Thai, CheBogz Food Truck at Chuck's Hop Shop, Pagliacci, Bell's Pastries, and Seattle Cinnamon Rolls.
