Behold We Make All Things New
On this episode of Belief Busters, we take on myth-busting God! Rev. Sheree challenges the idea that God is an old white man sitting on a throne in heaven. Sure, you may have been told that concept is God, but what if that is outdated idea created when we were trying to make sense of the world around us. Join us as we reclaim God in new and wonderful ways.

Sticks and Stones...
Will break your bones but words will never hurt you! Is that true? Is physical pain greater than emotional pain? On this episode of Belief Busters we question the validity of this adage. Rev. Conspiracy Theories a Desire for Spirituality
On Belief Busters we discuss ways to see people who believe in conspiracies in a new light. What if conspiracy theorists are simply trying to connect with God in an alternative way. What if because of their disillusionment with religious dogma, people are looking for things to battle in the hopes of winning God's favor? Is it possible for us to choose to not disagree with their beliefs, but to understand they are searching for spiritual connection? Could we renew their trust in humanity again, by simply listening and finding common ground?
Our guest is Anthony Russo. He is a journalist and has found a calling in his most recent work, a book on cults and conspiracy theorists, Dragged into the Light. This is a discussion that many spiritual communities haven't been willing to engage on. Join us on this conversation. Let us know what you think.

What's Your Intention? A Spirituality Series Talk
On this episode of Belief Busters Podcast, Rev. Sheree talks about setting your intentions for 2022. Today, we connect with God and our highest self for clarity on what is ours to do this year by participating in Unity's White Stone Ceremony. Why do we care about creating intentions at the beginning of the year? Because we know, what we hold in our mind is what we create in our lives.

What Are You Being Guided to Create? - A Spirituality Series Talk
The air and season are filled with love. This time of year, wants us to create anew and share the sacred truth: we are all of God. Let’s look back to a tumultuous time in our history and watch how even then, it was possible to create anew. And if they could create anew during a horrific time in history, then how will you listen to your guides to create a loving and abundant life?

From Polarization to Commonality
In our society there is a sense of “I’m right and everyone else that thinks differently is wrong.” Our conversation with Rev. Jerry Zehr asks the question: where do we get these thoughts and are our thoughts true? We deconstruct the idea that just because we were taught something doesn’t mean it’s true. And once we get past the myth that our self-worth is based on productivity, we have the ability to love ourselves. This shift to self-love then supports us to see others with compassion as we realize we have more in common than not.
Jerry Zehr, is a retired minister of over 36 years, working with interfaith ministries. Now more than ever, people are painfully divided politically, religiously, and culturally. And yet, there is a commonality in our faith traditions that can help us turn away from polarization and create a greater sense of community in which our differences are honored. New book "The Peacemaker's Path: Multifaith Reflections to Deepen Your Spirituality" brings together wisdom from the world's major religious traditions, including Bahá'í, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Native American spiritualities, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism, showing that we have much more in common than what divides us.

The Season of Creation - Spirituality Talk Series
Did you know there are multiple creation stories? They come from different belief systems. Each story has a wonderful way of explaining, what sometimes feels unexplainable. Perhaps, as we listen to these stories, we may think they are wild and crazy. Maybe we even judge these early writers as primitive and uneducated. But is that any crazier than the stories we believe about our own creation and who we are in the world?
A huge part of the shadow work is looking at the stories we believe are true about ourselves. Because those stories are the energetic field in which we attract to us those things that resonate. If our creation story is of unworthiness, then we will attract more situations that confirm our unworthiness. While if we have done our shadow work, then our energetic field changes and we attract things of a higher vibration, such as peace and harmony. Like attracts like. It’s all about resonance.
As a child you may have internalized their words and actions to infer you are a bad child. As children we don’t have the mental capacity to separate their words about us as not a definition of us. So, as kids, each time these things occur, we absorb them as this must be, who we are. Now as adults our brains and emotions are highly developed and if we do our work in psychological intelligence and self-awareness, we have the ability to realize there is more to the story than how we understood it as a child.
So, with this updated information we can modify the story. In our present moment awareness, we can realize that our parents reacted to us from survival instincts and their reactions to the incident is no longer a defining moment in our psyche. As adults, awakened in consciousness, we have the capacity to bring the child’s perception of trauma, and merge that with our new level of understanding. It’s an opportunity for us, as evolved divine humans, we are creating new endings for the same story.

Is There Room at the Spiritual Table for You? Part 2
Now for the conclusion of this conversation: Ever wanted to talk about the religious abuse you have experienced? Well on this episode of Belief Busters Dale Lykins joins us to have an authentic conversation of institutional religion, which often has nothing to do with God. Today, we give you permission to question what you were taught be church authorities and how to make peace with the past while honoring your awakening. Yes, it’s still possible to have a mystical, loving experience with the divine regardless of race, gender, creed, or sexual orientation.
Dale Lykins is a pastor of a non-institutional church, life coach, speaker, and most recently, a writer. His work centers around the profound experience he had finding his true, authentic self, which included coming out as gay man at 55 years old, navigating the unique experience of a mixed orientation marriage, and leaving the institutional church after 30 years as a Methodist minister. Dale aims to help others discover what in their lives is holding them back--whether it be relationships, societal norms, institutions, and more, in favor of living a truer, more meaningful, more authentic life. I’ve invited Dale to talk about religious abuse.

Are You on Fire? A Spirituality Talk Series
This talk is asking the question: are you on fire with the indwelling Christ? It's part of the spirituality talk series, in which Rev. Sheree calls us to ponder our purpose on planet earth.

The Journey is the Spiritual Awakening
Let’s have a real discussion about what awakening really means. Awakening is not a destination. Awakening is the spiritual journey. We will discuss with Nate Rifkin how the daily practice of deep meditation as taught by Taoism supports us on awakening.
When Nate Rifkin began his journey, he was suicidal and drank alcohol every morning. He dropped out of college, went broke, bankrupt, and even worked on street corners waving around a sign. However, Nate learned a little-known spiritual discipline that helped him transform his thoughts, emotions, and financial life. He’s published a book about his journey called The Standing Meditation.

Any Path to Spirit is Valuable!
Our discussion on Belief Busters challenges the idea there is only one faith that is of Truth, of God. My guest today affirms the awakened idea that any path that allows us to connect with Source is of value to the individual. The bottom line is we must awaken to raising our vibration in love and peace for mankind and the planet, while releasing the belief of separation and division.

Does Life Have to be Hard to be a Success?
Where do we get the belief that life is hard and you have to work yourself to the bones to have the American dream? It’d reinforced in our society to work hard to be a success. The step to wholeness can be a terrifying leap of faith, but so rewarding. Moving from external factors being the definition of who you are, to no longer needing to rely on job, raise, partner to define your worthiness. My spirit made the choice to be on this realm, honor that and have the best experiences of spirit and humanity.
Dmitria Burby is launching her first book in the fall that is a memoir of her healing journey as she moved from corporate executive to rediscovering and connecting with her soul and spirit, allowing her to unlock the life that she always dreamed of. Dmitria says the core of this healing journey is to let go of the belief that was handed down to her that life has to be hard, that we have to work ourselves to the bone in order to find success. She had to discover that success does not equate to happiness, that there is a whole other way to approach life. Dmitria feels her calling is helping women reconnect with their soul/spirit.

Mother Mary as Priest?
What if in the beginning of the Christ Movement there were women apostles, priests, deacons, and bishops? Well hold onto your hats as we blow your beliefs that only men were spiritual leaders during the early church. On this episode of Belief Busters, Margaret Mary O'Connor and I discuss the reality that women of power have been erased from church history by patriarchal Roman politics. But you can do something about this fallacy, awaken to newly unearthed truths that women spiritual leaders existed and sign the petition to have the Catholic Church change their dogma to allow women to reclaim their power within the Church.
Margaret Mary O’Connor has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Buffalo, and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, from Christ The King Seminary in East Aurora, NY. She is a former Chaplain and currently is a Eucharistic Minister. She literally walks the walk, on picket lines to help keep the issues of Women’s Ordination and Church Accountability on the Priest Sexual Abuse Issue, at the forefront of any Catholic’s attention. She believes any Catholic deserves at minimal at least the truth from Rome, as opposed to the continual out right deception they are receiving. She also is a member of Call To Action, Future Church, Roman Catholic Women Priests, Women’s Ordination Conference and SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests). Margaret’s goal is to initiate a World-Wide Conversation about the Factual Truth of Mary Mother Of God, being a Woman Priest, in the Catholic Church’s Early History. Margaret has written a book, Scandal in the Shadows about Mary as Priest. To sign the petition for change in the Catholic Church go to http://www.yourradicaltruth.com/

What if HELL DOES NOT Exist?
What if Hell and Satan were simply constructs created by the Church Fathers to keep us all in line? On this episode we will have a conversation about coming to the awakened understanding that God didn't create hell, mankind created hell. If God is the frequency of love, then the creation of hell can only be a construct of the human mind in it's attempts to understand morality, good and bad. What we will be talking about is the damage that some Christian faiths perpetrate on women.

You're NOT Crazy!
And you're not alone! This episode of Belief Busters asks the question of how do we heal childhood trauma. We give you permission to feel those feelings, challenge the thoughts of others telling you who you were, and to now be willing to change their beliefs to live a life well lived.
Our guest is Fatima Oliver, she truly believes there is significant power in the sharing of testimonies. We are all seeking to fill the holes in our dissoluteness, with light and love. At the age of two she was recovering from burns on 25% of her body. By the age of ten she was emphatically convinced pain and family was synonymous. As an adult Fatima experienced the death of a child, abandonment issues, and physical abuse from a spouse that sent her spiraling.
This entire journey birthed an inspirational memoir titled, "The Prescription is in the Dirt". Now available in paperback and eBook version on Amazon.com. Throughout her journey she has learned key truth's:
Everyone needs a safe place to fall. Emotions are meant to be acknowledged and not ignored. A victim-mentality must change to a victor mindset. It is okay to not be okay. But it is never okay to remain that way.You can reach Fatima @ www.fatimac.com

On this episode of Belief Busters we will ask you to question your beliefs about wealth. The Good Old Days - Spirituality Talk Series
Good old days is a cliché in popular culture. It is used to reference a time considered to mean a time in the past when you believe life was better than the now moment. It is a form of nostalgia which can reflect homesickness or yearning for long-gone moments. What do our spiritual teachers say about holding onto the past? What does yearning for the past mean to our peace of mind? How do we shift our focus from the "Good Old Days" to the "Wonder-filled New Ways?"

What Are Your Spiritual Gifts?
On our show we discern the difference between religious dogma/rules and spirituality. Jock will define different types of spiritual gifts such as claircognizance, clairvoyance, clairaudience, etc. This is a call to honor your divine knowing, however, it manifests. The reality is all gifts come from Source. Jock Brocas is spiritual coach, parapsychologist, paranormal researcher, medium, an author who has written 5 books, and entrepreneur.
"Talk to me I asked God, and he spoke."I am here, can't you hear me, I am in the trees that you hear blowing in the breeze, I am the whistle in the wind. I am within the water that you sit by, the crying of a child, the voice of your friend, the whisp of the butterflies, the sight of the rainbow. Open your eyes that you may see, your ears that you may hear and your heart that you may know. I am here!" (Jock Brocas) Copyright
