Vember Conner is the Founder of Cāru, an organic, high-performance skincare line crafted in Ayurvedic mind-body tradition. Cāru, the Sanskrit word translating to “one who is radiant and graceful (in spirit),” encapsulates the heart of Vember’s philosophy – our inner state informs how we show up in the world. Following ancient, proven Ayurvedic tradition, each of Cāru’s facial serums are based on an individual’s biological blueprint, or Ayruvedic dosha––Vata, Pitta, and Kapha––which make up one’s mind-body type and unique physical, emotional, and mental characteristics. The blended scents and ingredients are formulated based on doshic traits to deliver visible results without a single drop of synthetic chemicals giving an envious, youthful glow and a balanced mental state. Vember is a sought-after speaker on how to incorporate Ayurvedic wellness into our fast-paced lives and works 1:1 with clients to promote good health, rather than fight disease.
On this episode, I dive into Vember's background to understand her journey to get to where she is today as a founder of such an epic skincare line. Ep 11: Accessing your Inner Voice - A moment of insight with Sheri Homayoon Myers
Have you recognized your own inner voice yet? I'll tell you what, it's not always easy to recognize your own inner voice. In fact, many people have grown up around the world listening to an entirely different voice within themselves, and that voice is usually stemming from a place of fear. On today's moment of insight, which offers a bite-sized piece of wisdom that you can apply into your life today, you'll learn more about your inner voice, and how to drown out the noise of the opinions of others. What's amazing is our inner voice rarely uses words, and communicates with us through our feelings. What's not so amazing, is when we doubt our inner voice, and tune into our voice of fear, we tend to experience anxiety, worry, and trepidation.
Have you ever tried to do something new, big, or bold, and met up with a voice in your head that told you not to? That's likely not your inner voice talking, but instead, a voice from your own fear that is trying to protect itself. As we start to break through the initial noise of our ego, we are able to experience the quiet whispers of our heart. When we feel separate from one another, life tends to become a competition and the focus is on you, how well you do, what you do, and how fast you can do it. The drive from fear is that you "be the best" no matter what it takes out of you and others, so that you can gain the attention, and love from others. I've found the very opposite happens when you shift your focus and tune into your inner voice for direction. The drive from love tells you to "honor and serve" the people around you, and that includes yourself.
Tune in to learn about your inner voice, and catch more moments of insight each week that will empower you on your journey through self-discovery.
