Sheryl can also be found on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@tutoringwithsheryl/videos
Monique Bundy was born and raised in Harlem, NY to a single young mother. At an early age,
Monique had to learn to balance attending school and the responsibilities of helping her mom
raise her disabled brother and younger sister. After being held back in third grade, Monique
made it her personal mission to transform young struggling readers into lifelong readers by
becoming an Elementary School Teacher.
Monique's classroom was moved online when Covid struck, and it was there that Monique
discovered she had a knack for teaching 1:1 virtually. 1:1 was so effective for her students that
she decided to continue her teaching career as a full-time tutor.
Monique enjoys tutoring because it allows her to create individualized learning plans tailored to
her students' specific needs, get to know her students better, and have a greater impact on their
overall learning.
As The Unique Online Reading Tutor, Monique is able to assist parents in supporting their
children in becoming confident, skilled readers by sharing reading tips and tricks she has
learned over her many years of experience in education.
