Busy at summer camp, I got swamped with scheduling. I decided (now that my computer is repaired) I will release the last episode in segments, because something produced is better than nothing!

In this episode, the sojourners travel to Red Ruth's hamlet in the wild's of Avernus. Upon wishing to restore their friend, Felthran from his abyssal corruption, they search out her abandoned dwelling for a cure. Bramble, the hinfolk rogue, sees a crack of light beyond the door into the study and has an unexpected encounter with his past!

Safe from Fort Knucklebone for now, the sojourners plan to follow through with the quest to restore the Burning Beacon "Demon Zapper". After clearing up the weather, they arrive to find that a platoon of devils arrived earlier and were overcome by the hordes of demons from the Abyss. With the beacon toppled and spawns of fiends roaming about, they found no other solution but to charge headlong into the fray. This is part 1 of 2.

Still in Avernus, of the nine hells, the sojourners find themselves for the first time, clean, fed and supplied. Nevertheless, they reside in Fort Knucklebone, ruled by the warlord Mad Maggie. She finances the blood war on both sides, and houses the riffraff scum, turncoats and criminals. With all of this disturbance, at least the sojourners are not trapped outside within the firestorm. Adventure awaits as the sojourners make their departure from the fort and only time will tell how Zarion fares with this new found party. And so our story continues.

In this episode of the campaign, the sojourners wrestle with the harsh environment of hell. While making a few discoveries about the land, the politics and the cash value of mortal souls, they also repair a damaged motorcycle, fueled by the deposited remains of decaying demon blood. Onwards to Fort Knucklebone, they travel in order to meet up with Mad Maggie, in desperate need of supplies and guidance.

In our Sunday evening Dungeons and Dragons game, the sojourners finally arrived in Avernus and it was no walk in the park. Although Avernus was once a fantastic vacation get away for mortals and immortals alike, the Blood War has ravaged it into a wasteland.
Nevertheless, because of it's political connection to the Hells of the universe, Avernus witness quite a bit of foot traffic as people travel for various reasons. Imps, little floating lesser devils serve as the waiters, bellhops and butlers of the archdevils in Avernus and Professor Thaddeus Banks is one of them.

If you haven't met Hey, he is a man with a tragic backstory of being taken from his mother while still a child. He called himself Hey, because of his early childhood being barked at "Hey" while operating as a serf in Runedeath Manor. The name stuck. After running away, he ended up wandering through the woods when the Lady met him. She adopted him into the land of faeries where she taught him eldritch power. Nevertheless, his simple mind did not hamper his ability to learn of the dark magic from the Lady and he never thought her of anything but a loving mother. Now we finally witness their relationship. Since Hey has been in and out of sessions, this back and forth from the Feywild makes story sense. Eventually Hey joins Felthran, Bramble and Garindan in the next episode. Hope you enjoy!
