Making much of Jesus is what Christians do all the time.

Being righteous and practicing righteousness means that we are like Jesus. Therefore, Christians should expect persecution simply for being like him in righteousness and godliness.

Followers of Christ are characterized by holiness expressed by a desire for righteousness, a life of compassion and love, and a pure heart.

Jesus describes his true followers as those who know they are spiritually bankrupt, who mourn for their sins, and who trust in God's timing and justice rather than seeking revenge.

The Sermon on the Mount is the best-known part of Jesus' teaching. It's also the most misunderstood but it doesn't have to be that way. The better we understand it, the more we can enjoy the blessings Jesus spoke about.

The Christian life begins with faith, but that faith must lead to spiritual growth, and spiritual growth must lead to practical results in life and service.

The story of Joseph in Genesis reads like a Hollywood movie script, and just about every scene reveals a reason for him to be bitter. But Joseph responded with virtue and personal holiness. He shows us how we can react the same way to our troubles.

Jonathan was a skilled warrior and courageous leader, but his greatest characteristic was his loving and selfless heart. We must learn to love like Jonathan!

Palm Sunday was not the only day Jesus received praise on the last week of his life on earth. The Roman soldiers also praised Jesus but it was a different kind of praise.

How do we speak up as Christians in a post-Christian world? The answer might surprise you.

In this world, there are small fish and there are big fish. We can choose what kind of fish we'll pursue with our lives.

In our culture, we have outsiders and we have insiders. And usually, the insiders want to keep the outsiders on the outside. Not so in Christianity. Paul tells us how we should see the insider/outsider issue correctly and Biblically.

God has a wonderful plan for those He can trust with money. Can He trust you?

If you want God's blessing on your finances, you have to follow God's instructions.

To grow spiritually, we must commit to growth.

To grow spiritually, we must cultivate a receptive attitude toward God.

Prayer is something we should be devoted to, and that means establishing a daily prayer habit.

What does it mean to be spiritually lost? And what do we lose when we're separated from God? The answers to these questions are important and far-reaching.

All is calm? All is bright? Someone had to pay the price for that to be true.

Life is hard and painful. How can we find comfort and hope in the midst of our difficulties? We find some answers from the life of Simeon.

There is no salvation without repentance.

We must determine the direction of our lives by setting our hearts toward God and His Word.

Satan wants to use our lack of discipline to condemn us, but God wants to restore us and empower us. 

God uses His presence and our obedience to fill in the gaps caused by our lack of abilities, skills, and talent.

God is attracted to the unattractive. They're the object of His love.

It’s not education, wealth, position, or political influence that make us competent or qualified to do great things. It’s the time spent with Jesus that lifts us out of our feelings of inferiority and prepares us to do great things for God.

Because of the resurrection of Jesus, we have a certain hope that we will have renewed, restored, and regenerated bodies in a renewed, restored, and regenerated creation.

This Easter, hold the name of Jesus in high honor and praise him exuberantly.

When we see the true spiritual condition of our friends and family members without Christ, we should respond with compassion.

We must pray for open doors that will allow us to proclaim the gospel clearly.

To truly be the church we were called to be, we must be devoted to prayer.

When Jesus said he would build his church, there's no doubt he had a healthy church in mind.
