While Sasha (Alex) is now a university professor in the US, he still has deep ties and close relationships with those back in Ukraine. If you hear a cell phone go off during this recording, that's actually Sasha's phone giving the "all clear" from the Ukrainian government. Before we started recording, there was another sound from his phone signaling an enemy (Russian) air raid and warning citizens to seek shelter immediately.
