In this episode, I am joined by Clay Hadden, a.k.a. Mister Clay. He is a Speech Language Pathologist for 15 years.

Mister Clay provides educational videos for children and families who benefit from the use of augmentative and alternative communication. Topics range from core words of the day, to modeling activities. There are even videos that feature slime and songs.

More than anything, Mister Clay wants to make content for children who use AAC devices, for their peers, and for their families.

In this episode, I am joined by Alexandria Green, MS, CCC-SLP. Alexandria is the executive Director and CEO of Green Family Therapies, a pediatric speech-language, feeding, and neurodiversity-affirming ABA therapy private practice in Southern California. With 17 years of experience working with children, and 11 years in the field of communication disorders, her company specializes in family-centered and play-based early childhood speech and language development. She started her private practice endeavor seven years ago after she found it nearly impossible to maintain work-life-harmony as an undiagnosed ADHDer. Now she has found purpose and passion in supporting other speech and language pathologists, particularly those who are neurodivergent like her, in starting and growing in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Lisa graduated from Florida International University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and of Arizona State University with a degree in Communication Disorders. Sarah is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing and a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders. She has worked in the field of Speech Language Pathology since 2006 and have worn many hats including Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, Speech-Language Technician and Speech-Language Pathologist. Working exclusively in schools has provided her with a great insight into the importance technology plays in the success of an SLP.

In this episode, I am joined by Ebony Green. Ebony is a speech language pathologist and a former K-12 teacher. She started her private practice in 2019 and was able to secure contracts with several schools and double her practice revenue within the first two years of being in business. Today I am speaking with Brooke Tierney about student debt and loan forgiveness. Brooke is a speech language pathologist working in the elementary school setting in southern California. She graduated in 2018 with close to $90,000 in student loan debt. She is determined to pay off her student loans aggressively, by targeting one loan at a time. Brooke has been in repayment for nine months, and she has paid off $21,000 of student loan debt. She plans to pay off the remainder of her student loans in the next three years.

In our chat today, we learn what Brooke has done to reduce expenses, stay motivated and different types of debt payoff. Brooke also discusses loan forgiveness and the common mistakes SLPs make.
