In part 3 of our Colossians series (The Hope of Heaven Revealed), we now look at the new nature that Christ has made available to us by putting our old nature to death on His cross. Practicing your new nature in Christ displaces your old sin habits. That is both powerful and exciting. Lastly, in order to make your new nature a part of your every day life you have to share your new life with others, loving, forgiving, and encouraging them just as Christ has done so for you. What you receive from Christ empowers you to live it towards others. And causes these truths to take deeper root in your heart.

So many times when we feel weak we see ourselves as defeated when God sees our weakness as an opportunity to demonstrate His love and power to help us walk out the new creation we are in Christ. This teaching will challenge your current view of your situation and empower you to see the beauty and balance in being weak and powerful.

Jesus is the Truth, in him we have Freedom

We belong to God. We belong to each other.

We will never grow beyond our obedience. The main mission of God’s Kingdom is to make you like Him.

And the way we become like Him is through the process of trust & obedience. It’s not just about getting to the next place in Him.

It’s about the life encounters we have with Him along the way. The journey is where we find all of God’s hidden treasures waiting for us.

When we get ahold of Mercy and recognize this need in others, it changes things. It shifts our priorities. Truth is a rock to the scull when out of context. Our love has to be louder than our law. The world has no imitation for mercy, it's only Jesus. 

Jesus said, “Wherever your treasure is, that's where your heart is.” So our goal should be to keep our eyes on the prize. But we must define what that prize is. If your focus is to just get to the prize then you may miss the true reward revealed along the way. But if He is your prize then that changes everything. This teaching will help you define your prize and finetune your focus.

2 Peter 1:3 (ESV) His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence.
