Video Games and Self-Actualization w/ Guest Mason Maxfield
3.34 Video Games and Self-Actualization w/ Guest Mason Maxfield
I asked Mason to be on the podcast to talk about the journey that he took when he essentially swore off video games and decided to get his life back as he puts it. So we dive into that to start this episode out, and then we go on to talk about the effects that have happened in his life and how anyone else can do similar cost-benefit analyses to determine what it is that you may want to remove from your life. What is keeping you from achieving what you truly want out of life?
We also talk a little bit about the benefits of having some form of leisure and/or activities to relax for a little bit in life, and a couple of tips on how to keep from going too far into any one thing. We also give some numbers to help drive home how precious the time we do have on Earth is, as well as how much you can do in your life if you remove time wastes. What activities do you use to relax healthily and unwind?
Remember, you can rewrite your stars and live the life that you actually want, you can remove or add the things that you need to be happy in your life!

Late in high school, he recognized his concerning addiction to video games as a form of entertainment and escapism. Knowing full well that he couldn't sufficiently moderate himself, he chose to cut it off entirely.

Don't Take a Shrimp Coupon to JCPenny's w/ Guest Alison Fabricius
3.29 Don't Take a Shrimp Coupon to JCPenny's w/ Guest Alison Fabricius
Alison and I begin by talking about her book that came out recently, "Unapologetically Alison" and how we can live our lives without having to feel guilty or judged about everything we do. We wander over from that topic onto the meaning of some words, including "redeemed" and I bring up coupons, and we talk about how we can turn our potential into permanence and how you shouldn't take a shrimp coupon to JCPenny's. When have you been unapologetically you? Have you ever taken a shrimp coupon to JCPenny's?
We also talk about how a vision board is basically just coupon cutting what you want in your life and using it as a focal point to turn the potential to achieve the thing into the permanence of having it or accomplishing it. We also go on a couple of tangents, but have a really fun time with it and actually bring them around to make good points. What was the best coupon you ever used? What random wisdom do you enjoy bestowing on others?
Be sure to listen to today's episode and check out Alison's website to be able to learn more about how to be unapologetically you and how she can help you with that and more.
Remember, you can rewrite your stars and live your life exactly how YOU want to, and create things in it that you can enjoy and share with others.

3.25 What is Our Culture Stack? w/ Guest Gary Arnell
I have known Gary for a number of years, and when I heard him on Greg Denning's podcast (who was in episode 14 this season) I knew that I had to have Gary on the show. Because Gary shares something that I haven't heard anyone else ever talk about, not as he did at least. In that episode on Greg's show and in this episode right here Gary talks about the foundations of our culture, of our group psychology, of our attitudes and morals. He calls it our Culture Stack, drawing on a technology stack, the order, and components necessary to yield the desired result. Gary explains all of that beautifully in this episode and gives pointers on what we can do to positively influence our Culture Stack in order for it to give us the results we actually want.

Financially Free at Thirty Three w/ Guest Andrew Logan
3.23 Financially Free at Thirty Three w/ Guest Andrew Logan
Andrew and I talk about choices, about habits, about financial and life maths, and so much more in today's episode! Andrew shares his story of going from a very "successful" (by most people's standard) career, to choosing into things that weren't easy, but that would pay off in the long run. What have you done that you are glad you did years later? Will what you're doing now pay you in 10 years? Or will you be paying for it in 10 years?
We talk a lot about perceptions of money and how at the end of the day, money is a magnifier, it allows people to do more of what they would be doing if they didn't have money. We go deep on the things I mentioned already, habits, choices, and the maths of life. How have you been able to use money to magnify who you are? What habits are you building now for your future self to enjoy the fruits of?
Be sure to listen to today's episode and check out Andrew's website to connect with him and learn more about how you can become financially free.

The traditional path was a well-trodden path, but not one that would provide a lifestyle of financial freedom and travel. You Got a Story w/ Guest Todd Hansen
3.1 You Got a Story w/ Guest Todd Hansen
Welcome to Season 3 of How to Rewrite Your Stars!! I am very excited to be here with you, the faithful listener, as well as the many amazing guests that I have come on the show!
Today we get to listen to me talking with Todd Hansen, who was one of the inspirations for me to focus on the stories of the guests I have on the show. Anybody can do anything, but where did they start out and why did they choose what they're doing? Todd would focus on the stories of complete strangers on his show The Story Trek I saw various episodes of growing up.
Today the tables got flipped on Todd, and I became the one asking him questions! It was quite the experience, maybe a bit surreal even, but how Todd started out was nowhere near being a TV anchor, and wow does he have an amazing story to share! I am extremely grateful that Todd agreed to be on the show, asking him was probably the most intimidating guest I've had so far because I only knew him from TV.
We also talk about the new show that Todd is working on that premiered about a month ago, You Got a Story, which is his effort to revitalize the wonderful experience that The Story Trek was for everyone involved and this time you can be involved!
Be sure to listen to today's episode and check out Todd's website for You Got a Story so that you can watch and become involved as well!
Finally, remember, you have a story and it matters. Be willing to share it and grow it!

Living Life to the Fullest + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Ryan McGregor
Welcome, this week's guest Ryan McGregor!
Ryan is a podcast host, content creator, and performer. His day job is as a Flight Attendant so when he's traveling, he likes to experiment with making IGTV videos and taking photos. Personal qualities that he values include imagination, authenticity, respect, and ambition. He believes that if we have the courage to pursue it, we all have the potential to succeed. His appearance in a cow suit on the Netflix show Ginny & Georgia was one of the highlights of his background work. He's a carefree, laid-back person with a social media feed full of golden retriever puppies. Links below!
Ryan and I begin by discovering that we are both fans of animals, leading into talking about how growing up was for both of us, and how Ryan decided to become a content creator as a career. He actually asked me a couple of questions throughout the episode, so I answer some questions as well, like about how homeschooling affected my mindset growing up and now. We talk about learning and becoming our own people in life and go deep on those topics. I share my 55th Vision Board success that hasn't been written down yet and we talk about manifestation for a bit. Then as we're discussing the potential that we all have and how there is an opposing force trying to stop us from achieving our potential, the power goes out for half a second and restarts my router. Hmmm... VERY interesting! After I saved off the first recording file we hop back on and finish up some of our thoughts and wrap up the episode. Thankfully the force that is for our good saved the file from the first 2 hours before the router issue!
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Again, why I'm sharing my successes with you is to show that you can do the same thing, to use a vision board yourself and that you can rewrite your stars in your own life. Also, if you want to be a guest on my podcast, then be sure to fill out this questionnaire so that we can see about making that a reality. With 25+ years in corporate roles responsible for up to 2000 people and more than $150M in revenue, Dan is a recognized expert in leadership, sales, and business strategy. Links below!
Before we hit record, Dan told me that I could ask pretty much any question and he would answer as deep as I wanted to go. That is today's episode. I start out normally by asking where he came from and how he started on his journey, he shares that and I bring in some similar elements from my journey. Then I just start asking him tons of questions related to what he mentioned and his processes and so many other cool things! It goes from one thing to the next so smoothly, and yet there may not seem to be a particular path through what we talk about, but it was so amazing to talk with Dan because of how relatable he is! I share my 54th Vision Board success and Dan mentioned a similar success that he's had and we keep asking questions until we finally wrap up this amazing episode.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Skydiving with Multiple Sclerosis + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Kevin Payne
Welcome, this week's guest Kevin Payne!
Doctor with Multiple Sclerosis loses everything he loves about life, hits bottom, and vows to reclaim his lost childhood dream of becoming a legit skydiver (600 jumps), even with all the extra challenges. Spends a decade researching how to craft a life each of us can love — even with chronic stress, pain & illness — then writes book, teaches others, builds company (and keeps jumping out of planes for self-care). Links below!
I started this episode still not wanting to skydive just like I've thought for years, and finished it wanting to skydive. I start out by asking Kevin to clarify what exactly Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is, and then we jumped into his story. He talks about when he first wanted to skydive, to when he first actually skydived, and then when he was diagnosed with MS and gave up on skydiving, leading into when he got back into it. We talk about a lot of things in detail along that path, not the least of which, skydiving. Kevin goes into detail with almost every question I asked him, and that kept bringing new questions to mind that just kept things rolling and super engaging. He also shares about deciding to live his dream despite what doctors and those around him told him, and how that has helped to keep him going and in better health as well. Right near the end of the episode, I share my 53rd Vision Board success and Kevin gives me a new point of view on it than what I had, which was great. We wrap this one up by sharing some more details on skydiving and living your dream.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. He is passionate about empowering people to understand and lead their identities into purpose-filled lives and create true and lasting impact within their spheres of leadership and influence. Then we dive right into his story, where he shares the struggles that he went through, including nearly committing suicide and how he was able to come back from that dark place. Emmitt goes on to talk about how we take on false beliefs about ourselves and our identities and how that affected him and can affect the rest of us. Marriage and Betrayal Trauma + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Coach Jay
Welcome, this week's guest Coach Jay!
We had a very good, very deep, but also very *mature* conversation today. Be appraised.
After years of drugs, alcohol, and special ed. Mr. Jay quit school in sixth grade ultimately living on the streets falling victim to abuse after abuse. After the second gun to his temple, Mr. Jay vowed to fix himself so he could help fix others. Links below!
Coach Jay goes into a little bit of his story growing up and we talk about how your pain can become your purpose, your mess become your message. We go all over the place when it comes to marriage and relationships in our conversation. We talk about how to proactively work on your marriage, a little bit on how to "affair-proof" your marriage, and how your relationship with yourself plays into your relationship with your spouse. We both share some stories and some examples, go deep on a few of the topics, and share many insights. I share my 51st Vision Board success right at the end and we wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Natural Reflectors + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Jennifer Peavey
Welcome, this week's guest Jennifer Peavey!
Jennifer Peavey comes from a varied background of engineering, design and innovation. She finds the common ground between these fields and is known for making paradigm-shattering connections across topics and groups that often do not interact. Jennifer enjoys discovering the authenticity of people, products, and experiences. Jennifer jumps right into talking about how she came to focus on the natural cycles such as the moon phases and the seasons and how those have helped her to live her life more intentionally and more in balance with the nature around her. I ask her some questions in regard to it and we go off on a conversation centered on that topic for a while. She then asks me about what I resonate with and I go into a fairly in depth explanation about black holes, (which it's about time for, we talk about stars all the time and I'm just barely getting to these celestial objects ;) ) and then she offers an explanation on why I resonate with them, which really gets me thinking. I share my 50th Vision Board success and we talk about that a little bit as well as the significance of this being episode #50 of this current season of my podcast. We share some final thoughts and wrap this one up.
Welcome, this week's guest Terraine Brown!
Terraine Brown is a finance manager, fitness enthusiast, and boxer in training, he enjoys a busy lifestyle. Sharing his life stories with the world ignites his inner passion. These life stories are what we call life journeys. We all have a journey and his begins by being raised by his grandmother. He grew up not knowing either of his parents early on. He has taken his early pains and struggles to become a voice for others leading with inspiration. He speaks with and to many people across the world to provide hope in difficult situations and at times answers. He has learned to be better, to become better, and to expect better. These days he continues to learn and walk with the journey to personal triumph towards a better tomorrow for himself and everyone he encounters Links below!
Terraine starts out talking about how he grew up and how it inspired him to become the type of person that he is today and what he does today. Then we jump on over to talking about managing emotions and the challenges that are faced in that arena and how we can become better through it too. We then talk about relationships a bit and about how emotions tie into that. We also talk about the power of words and a good orator and how we can use words for good. I share my 49th Vision Board success and we talk about that a little bit and tie it into the conversation. We also talk about how to let go of the things that you no longer need to carry with you, especially since it is currently autumn as this episode aires.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Bonus Episode: Autosuggestion: Feeding Yourself Positive Propaganda w/ Guest Coach Modja
Welcome again, this week's guest Coach Modja!
In this week's episode, Coach Modja and I briefly mentioned that we might do a bonus episode about something autosuggestion. Well, we did! And here it is!
Right from the get-go, we focused on autosuggestion, the art of suggesting ideas to yourself. Coach Modja focuses on what autosuggestion is, how it affects us and why it is so important. I then ask him the question of how to actually use it and he explains it very simply. He and I both share many examples throughout the whole episode of how to use it and how it has affected us or those around us in our lives. The simplicity is beautiful and the results are astounding! This whole episode is gold, if it weren't for the connectivity issues that caused some interesting bits in the audio then this episode would border on perfect. Bring a notebook with you for this one, there's a lot to learn!
Remember, feed your mind positive propaganda every. single. day. Then watch your life change before your eyes.
If you want to be a guest on my podcast, then be sure to fill out this questionnaire so that we can see about making that a reality. Because there are so many stories of people rewriting their stars, and I want to share them! https://forms.gle/obKbT739sukbrWWE6

Pay Attention: Desire Your Dreams + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Coach Modja
Welcome, this week's guest Coach Modja!
Christian Modjaiso holds a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics, speaks 8 languages, is a professional chess player, and has a deep understanding of the science of manifestation. He is an expert at showing people how to convert their intangible dream into a physical reality. He works as a Live Your Dream Coach, which means that he helps his ambitious clients to identify and accomplish their dreams in life. Links below!
I start out this week's episode a little playfully by guessing the 8 different languages that Coach Modja speaks before diving right into our amazing discussion. There's no way that I can get across through text how fantastic our discussion was! We started out talking about how desire begins and how to use it to help you in your life, focusing on what "paying attention" does to your brain and how to use that for the better. We then go really deep into the way the mind works and how desire is really the central engine that gets things moving, and how you need to desire your dream in order to achieve it. I share my 48th Vision Board success and we go fairly in-depth about how one can make something happen in their life like I was able to with that success. I could summarize more, but really, just tune into this week's episode and be prepared to be blown away!
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. I ask her questions about how others can do it and about how you can even do it without leaving your home. We then talk about what it is that we gain from travel and how it affects us for the better and how it relates to other areas of our lives. We give a few examples of how you can travel in your everyday life, which I think is super cool. I share my 46th Vision Board success and we talk about it a little bit as well and relate it right back into the conversation. We share a few more thoughts on how to make the most of your life and give out a few awesome tips as well.

We discuss different elements of what she shared and go into a few more directions as well. I share my 44th Vision Board success and we talk about it a little bit as well. We loop back around to some more of the spiritual discussion and list a few more resources for those looking to be helped with their mental illness.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Bonus Episode: The Void, Getting through Nothing to Get Your Goals w/ Guest Rebecca Branham
Welcome again, this week's guest Rebecca Branham!
In this week's episode, Rebecca and I briefly mentioned that we might do a bonus episode about something awesome. Well, we did! And here it is!
We went a lot of places in this bonus episode, from being frustrated at work and duking it out with someone in my car, to the answer to life, the universe, and everything. We mostly focused on the void (the space between you and your goals), and how to bridge it. We also talk about the R.A.S. (reticular activating system) and how to get past it in order to have your subconscious mind work for you instead of against you. I go off on a tangent about the Apollo 13 space mission and talk about how it relates to getting your goals. Rebecca talks about how to keep your emotions out of interactions they don't belong in and how to address them outside of those. Ultimately, we go really deep into the processes and mechanics behind filling the void or getting through the wall that is keeping you from your goals. There are a couple of "golden minutes" that are worth listening to again and again to gather the gold nuggets that pour out during them. This whole episode was filled with gems and "ah-ha" moments, so, enjoy!
Remember, you are in charge of your life and you can fill the void in order to get your goals. It's a formula, learn it and use it.
If you want to be a guest on my podcast, then be sure to fill out this questionnaire so that we can see about making that a reality. Because there are so many stories of people rewriting their stars, and I want to share them! https://forms.gle/obKbT739sukbrWWE6

Connecting Your Heart and Mind + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Rebecca Branham
Welcome, this week's guest Rebecca Branham!
Rebecca Branham, Expert Holistic Health, Life and Mindset Coach, helps others leave their mental exhaustion behind and overcome their self-sabotaging behaviors. In 2015, when she was working as a nurse, she was exhausted and treating herself horribly - her job was consuming her. All that gave her insight into how people deal with their health (or not). Then she returned to study and earned her qualifications in health and lifestyle coaching and became a master NLP practitioner. Links below!
Rebecca begins by sharing the story of how she became an RN (registered nurse) and how that wasn't what she really wanted to do, and how she decided to change later. She talks about her dad's approval and disapproval of some of her choices and we do a deep dive on how to engage emotionally with our key relationships and a few ways to help them. We then go on to talk about connecting your heart with your mind so that you can achieve goals that really matter, instead of just thinking your way through everything. I share my 43rd Vision Board success and we talk about how to achieve your goals and get what you want in life. We share a few more thoughts about leading with your heart and wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Who's Driving Your Life? + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Loralyn Mears
Welcome, this week's guest Loralyn Mears!
Loralyn has always been curious. As a PhD scientist, she's investigated interesting theories on how to destroy mosquitoes, then engaged in a career around market research probing people on the 5 Ws. Finally, late in life, she realized a childhood dream and became an author and a journalist asking questions until she found answers. That led her down the path of founding STEERus, home of the world's first Soft Skills Academy. She founded this HRtech to train Generation Next on the critical soft skills that they're not learning in school to close the gap between education and work. Links below!
Loralyn starts out with sharing her story, which many can relate to, of going to college for what her parents wanted her to do instead of what she wanted to do. Years later she finally had had enough of doing what she didn't like that she made a change and we talk about what that and other changes were and how they've helped her to live a more fulfilling life. We talk a lot about soft skills as that's where she's dedicated her focus and we share many, many nuggets throughout the episode. I share a little bit about how to choose between different costs of things now and later and tie it into sharing my 42nd Vision Board success (which was probably the biggest one I've ever had!). We share a few more thoughts about driving your life and wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. The Happiness Coach + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Carla Simpson
Welcome, this week's guest Carla Simpson!
Carla is an inspirational, motivational speaker and author on all things Happiness. Carla has been spreading her message around the world that 'Happiness is a Conscious Choice', and we can all 'Say Yes to Life'. She helps to empower people to live with purpose, smile every day, and amplify their happiness, joy, and abundance with everyone they encounter. Carla wants to help you claim your Happiness with total confidence and ease and has created a toolkit a step-by-step guide to help people make a difference in their lives so that they too can say yes to life no matter what difficulty they are facing. Life is a journey but let's try and smile, laugh a little more on the way. Links below!
It was very interesting that the day Carla and I talked was one of the least happy days that I've had in a while; so we dive right into it! I detail out a little bit of how the day went and ask her what she would recommend to someone (including myself) who is in those shoes right now. Carla then details out some steps that she would recommend and we begin talking about elements of happiness, what it is, what it isn't and how to get more of it. I end up sharing my 41st Vision Board success and relate it back to the conversation. Carla and I both share more pointers on how to be happier more of the time and we wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. H.O.S.T. Your Life + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Andrea Freeman
Welcome, this week's guest Andrea Freeman!
Andrea Freeman started her first business when she was 12 years old. Three businesses and a lot of learning later, she was hosting red carpet celebrities in her event planning business. But, she felt unfulfilled. She said to herself, “There must be a better way!” That pivotal moment prompted a soulful search. Today, as the creator of The H.O.S.T. Your Life™ Accelerator and The Upleveled Entrepreneur Podcast, Andrea uses her successful track record as a business owner to help entrepreneurs align with their purpose, create results with greater ease, and make a lasting impact in the world. Links below!
Andrea details out some of her childhood as we begin, like how she owned her own babysitting business when she was 12. Then she goes into some of the other businesses that she's run and how she's come to understand more about herself to where she thoroughly enjoys what she does today as a coach. We talk about her H.O.S.T. acronym for how to host your life instead of just being invited to participate in your life and delve into some of the paradigm shifts that accompany that mentality. Then I share my 40th Vision Board success and we talk about following your passion, or as Jack Canfield would say, "following your bliss". We also discuss more about manifesting and interacting with your higher power and how that relates to the earlier part of the conversation as we finish up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Leticia goes right into her story as we start out this episode. She starts when she was 7 and started to carry heavy emotional weights, through her teenage years and into the toxic relationship that she found herself in for years. Then she details out some of the terrible experiences that she had which ultimately led her to being asked a question that would change her life forever. Then I ask her about how she was able to change things around and what she did in order to make the change in her life towards being happier and more in control of her life. We also talk about the great life that she is living now that she has chosen into living a great life. Then I transition into sharing my 39th Vision Board success and we talk about celebrating the little things and life in general. We share some more golden nuggets and wrap this one up.
Because there are so many stories of people rewriting their stars, and I want to share them! https://forms.gle/obKbT739sukbrWWE6

Visualization and Mindfulness + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Dr. Supatra Tovar
Welcome, this week's guest Dr. Supatra Tovar!
Dr. Supatra Tovar is one of the few clinical psychologists in the country who is also a registered dietitian and fitness expert. Dr. Tovar’s unique background and integrated specializations allow her to provide holistic mind-body treatment for trauma, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and more. She works in private practice in Pasadena and has created ANEW - Advanced Nutrition and Emotional Wellness, an educational website dedicated to improving mind, body, and spirit. Links below!
Dr. Tovar starts out by explaining a little bit of how she became to be a psychologist, dietitian and fitness expert, specifically with her finding out that she was in the arts because she loved the psychology behind acting. I share an example to give and gain context of what that looked like and then we go on from there about being in the present moment, or practicing mindfulness. We bring up a movie that has many examples of psychology, and mindfulness in it and share many different examples and gold nuggets. Then I share my 38th Vision Board success and we talk about vision boards and visualization for a little bit. We both share some specific steps that you can take to practice both mindfulness and visualization more in your life and we wrap things up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Manifesting and Arrow-Breaking Throats + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Kelly Kaye Walker
Welcome, this week's guest Kelly Kaye Walker!
Kelly Kaye Walker is an international speaker, best-selling author, podcaster, certified life coach, and trainer. She has walked on fire many times, shattered a dozen arrows with her throat, and walked across several beds of broken glass. Kelly understands the importance of doing the things that scare you every day, and as a result, she has gone from hiding in the bathroom to living her purpose and speaking on stages all over the world. Last year she literally wrote the book on manifesting, and her passion is teaching others how to create the life and influence of their dreams. Links below!
I change gears a little bit this episode and key into a big part of the conversation before asking Kelly about her story. I start by sharing how I was able to manifest (an awesome) guest for this week to have an episode. Then I ask Kelly to share her story and man, she has an intense beginning to her journey of being a motivational speaker! She shares the story behind her first speaking gig that she had, and how she hid in the bathroom before doing it. And of course, I had to ask her about walking on fire and breaking arrows with her throat, that was really cool stuff! Then we talk about vision boards and I share my 36th AND 37th Vision Board successes (since last week was cut short). We talk about vision boards for a while and she shares a really cool one of hers that she got while coming up with actionable steps to manifest something. We have a few more laughs and share a couple more gold nuggets and then wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Responsibility and Entrepreneurship + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Matt Kirschner
Welcome, this week's guest Matt Kirschner!
Matt took over a 70-year-old restaurant in the middle of a pandemic at 26 years old. Built a significant social media following the first year of operation. He has made many mistakes the lead him to incarceration at a young age. Now he's trying to help others not go down the same path. Links below!
Matt and I begin talking this week about his journey from when he was still a kid and saw his dad gain part equity in a business; ever since then, Matt has wanted to do the same thing. He talks about how he learned a ton about business, and also about how he made a ton of mistakes on his journey. Then he talks about when the opportunity presented itself to him to gain part equity in a restaurant and how he actually became the owner of the place. We turn the conversation around to talking about management and responsibility. Right as I had asked him for some advice on an issue he had an emergency emerge that he had to take care of and we haven't gotten to recording part 2 yet. Enjoy and keep your eyes peeled for the culmination of our conversation.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Leaving a Legacy and Meditation + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Himanish Goel
Welcome, this week's guest Himanish Goel!
Himanish Goel is a student at VCU graduating in August and has a personal interest of helping folks understand how spirituality and meditation can make a huge difference within their life. Links below!
Himanish begins by explaining how he was introduced to meditation and yoga and how it has helped him in his life. We talk about meditation and energy for a little bit and then transition to talking about leaving a legacy. Himanish shares 5 things that he would leave behind to tell those that would find it about him and who he was. I decide to jump in on the idea and come up with 5 things on the spot that I would leave behind to tell my story. As I'm sharing those 5 I also share my 35th Vision Board success. We talk for a while longer about meditation, legacies and some other cool topics! I ask what his recommended first steps would be to begin meditating regularly and Himanish shares some. We share a few more thoughts and wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. ADHD: Dispelling the Stigma + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Katy Duncan
Welcome, this week's guest Katy Duncan!
Katy is a mother of 2 amazing children, wife to her great husband, mentor and friend. She was diagnosed with ADHD 10 years ago but only started taking it seriously about a year and a half ago. She is an advocate for understanding ADHD and other neurodivergent brains. Links below!
Katy dives right into talking about ADHD as we begin this week's episode, sharing some basics about what it is and what it isn't. Then I start asking about when she was diagnosed with it and in true ADHD fashion, we get distracted and go on a tangent. That's a lot of what happened in today's episode, we start talking about something, link to something else, talk about that for a while and then come back to the original question or topic. We cover a lot of amazing ground though! Through our conversation I've decided to look into meeting with a psychiatrist in order to see if I also have ADHD, (there are many specific traits that I have personally experienced, to where I believe that I might and have decided to seek more professional help) where before I'd been too scared or not seen the potential value behind it. In short, I gained a lot of understanding about ADHD talking with Katy. I share my 34th Vision Board success which was related to part of the conversation. We then share a few more thoughts on ADHD and wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. From Invisible to Courageous + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Philip Stenger
Welcome, this week's guest Philip Stenger!
I am super happy that Philip was able to be a guest this week. We literally finished recording this episode less than an hour ago! Philip stepped up when I was in need of help, which is awesome of him to do!
Philip is the creator of Studio Spotlight 9. He’s gone confidently from a hospital bed to thriving with his own online stage! His intention is to help other people be courageous and confident to take control of their own lives. Links below!
Philip starts out today's episode by talking about how he learned to not be noticed and essentially become invisible as a child, and how that affected him when he moved out. He then goes on to detail some health problems that he developed and how he had to face those. As he shares his story he explains how he was able to develop courage through his challenges and the way he chose to face them. We then talk for a little bit about courage, I share my 33rd Vision Board success and I tie it right into the conversation. We then share a few more thoughts on it and wrap this one up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. College and Money Traps + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Traci Bakenhaster
Welcome, this week's guest Traci Bakenhaster!
Traci is the Founder and CEO of Design & Renew Career and Finance Coaching, the Break the Cycle Podcast, and the Design & Renew Tribe a membership community for those looking to break out of the cycles they find themselves in to have lasting change. She uses her diverse background, professional and personal experience, and passion to help others live the life they were called to live. Links below!
Traci and I jump right to the meat of it, we start by having Traci share her story, from having 10 different credit cards (most of them maxed out) at one point and tons of student loan debt to being a successful business coach. Part of her journey was helping young college students figure out what they wanted to learn and where they wanted to go after college. As she was working with these students she found that most of them had no idea what they wanted to do, so she started to address it and grew from there. We address a couple of big issues that aren't usually covered, from how to manage your money to whether to go to college or not. I share my 32nd Vision Board success and we talk about how it relates to choosing what you want to do with your life in little steps.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. The Promise + Big Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Jason Hewlett
Welcome, this week's guest Jason Hewlett!
I can't tell you how excited I was when Jason told me that he would be willing to guest on my podcast, it was almost too good to be true. I'd heard him speak before and knew that he has an incredible message to share with the world and that it would be awesome to have him as a guest! I'm also excited to include a YouTube link to our ZOOM conversation, that link will go live within a few days where you can find it here.
Jason Hewlett started his career in Las Vegas as a performer and entertainer for a huge company; put together a one-man show built for Vegas, was offered Headlining opportunity to have own show on the Strip; turned that down. Then he went after his career on his own until he damaged his voice; transitioned to Keynote Speaking and now has founded The Promise Institute after having written "The Promise To The One". Links below!
Jason dives right into talking about how he discovered and started to utilize his gift as well as realizing he could use his gift to propel his career. I ask him about how he started out and he also covers how he went from free to paid gigs. Then we transition into talking about how one can find their unique gift and he shares his famous ICM process that explains a simple, yet powerful way to do that. He talks about The Promise and what it means and how it helps us become who we are and who we want to be. I ask him to share another powerful story where The Promise was born and he shares that story of him and his son. We both share a lot of our gifts with each other and with you, doing a little bit of impromptu singing. I then share my 31st Vision Board success and Jason then goes ahead and shares an amazing success he had through the power of intentionality. We wrap up by talking about the Promise to the One and what that means for each of us.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. The Path to Purpose + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Stephenie Zamora
Welcome, this week's guest Stephenie Zamora!
Stephenie Zamora is a life and business coach, the author of Unravel and Awesome Life Tips®, creator of the five-phase Journey Mapping Process, and host of the Tales from the Journey podcast. Her work merges the worlds of personal development, energy healing, intuitive coaching, writing, and mixed media to help individuals rise up and come back from their most challenging chapters. Stephenie guides her clients through the process of reorienting to themselves, their lives, their relationships, and their work in a way that’s fully aligned with who they’ve become in the aftermath of grief, trauma, depression, and big life transitions such as divorce, job loss, relocation, and more. Links below!
Stephenie shares her story of how she was able to discover her path to her purpose and how she's helping others do the same. She talks about some of the stops she's had on her path and we talk about being able to find your path and how it's different for everyone. We also talk a lot about how science has yet to catch up with a lot of the "woo woo" topics that come up frequently in the personal development world; and how the more you learn about anything, the more you understand how it relates to everything. We talk about how 1-star/bad reviews and getting hate mail and how if there's not someone out there who doesn't agree with you, then you're not being 100% authentic in some area of your life. We bring things full circle by going back to purpose and how we all have unique purposes in life. I share my 30th Vision Board success after I was done with Stephenie because I was so engrossed in the conversation that I forgot about it! However, I tie it into what we talked about before.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Stories in Life + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Rebecca Ellette Fincher
Welcome, this week's guest Rebecca Ellette Fincher!
Rebecca has long been a creator of stories, dictating her first book at three years of age. She is now a full-time author with one novel, a serial web novel, and several modules and supplements for Dungeons and Dragons now published. Links below!
It was fun being able to have my sister on as a guest for this week's episode! Rebecca starts by talking about some of the beliefs that she had about being an author from young to now, and how that affected her decision to become an author professionally; as well as how she was able to overcome some of the limiting beliefs she had held. She also shares about a surgery that she underwent within the past year and how that has affected her in multiple ways. Then a little real-life surprise happens and we tie it right into the discussion as we talk about how to make the things that happen to us affect us for our benefit. I share my 29th Vision Board success which ties right into the topic as we wrap things up.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had. Overcoming Your Inner Demons + Vision Board Successes w/ Guest Lisa Edwards
Welcome, this week's guest Lisa Edwards!
Lisa Edwards is an Inspirational Storyteller, Bestselling Author, and Self-Belief Success Chieftess. She is a certified Master Practitioner of Hypnotherapy, NLP, Timeline Therapy, and a student of Havening Techniques. Using the best of the modalities, Lisa empowers women to overcome imposter syndrome and move forwards with complete inner confidence, self-worth, and self-belief. She is part woo woo, part sciencey, and part crazy (well, who isn't?) Links below!
Wow! Lisa's story is incredible! A little bit intense, but wow can you learn a lot from her about how to overcome your personal demons. Lisa starts out talking about her childhood and what it was like to live in what she describes as a cult where she had next to no contact with the outside world. Then she goes on to tell the part of her story where she was in love with a man living a triple life. As she tells her story I add a couple of points and ask some questions, but Lisa covered a lot of ground very beautifully. I share the 28th Vision Board Success that I've had and tie it back to the conversation a little bit. We talked a lot about deciding for yourself to overcome your inner demons and about loving yourself despite it all.
In this season I'm talking with my guests about their story and how they've been able to "rewrite their stars" in their own life. Then after they've shared their story we transition into talking about vision boards for a little bit and I share one of the successes that I've had.
