Tonight, Minister Humphrey teaches from Exodus Genesis 20 and Matthew 18. Read Exodus 19 for yourself (God descends upon Mt. Sinai to speak to the people). In Genesis 20 God meets with Moses and gives the ten commandments. Read Chapters 20-23 as God gives additional direction to Moses for the people to govern themselves according. Read Chapter 24 as God causes Moses and some of the leaders and elders to worship. Read Chapters 25-30 to learn about God's instructions for all things focused on the tabernacle.

The disciples are unable to cast a demon out of a young boy and God again brings correction about it fully addressing their faith. Jesus informs his disciples that he is going to the cross. Tonight, Minister Humphrey teaches from Genesis 15-17:1-7. Genesis 15 shares A Song of Deliverance is celebration of God delivering them from Egyptian bondage. In the next chapters, they are complaining about thirst and hunger, but as God has done before, he provides for them!  

Matthew 15:21-28 introduces to some and reminds other of one of Minister Humphrey's favorite women of the Bible, the Syrophenician woman and her conversation with Jesus. Matthew 15:29-39, Jesus performs miracle after miracle and feeds over 4,000 in verse 32-39. Matthew 16: 1-4 reminds us of the of the hard heartedness of Pharisees and the Sadduccees.

Jacob's son's Levi and Simeon devise a plan for the people of Shechem, are unsatisfied and in turn enacts a plan of revenge on the people of the land.

Tonight, we begin with Genesis 29:31-35. Jacob's lineage begins having children with Leah, then Bilhah (Rachel's servant and his new wife), then Zilpah (Leah's servant and his new wife), Leah again and eventually Rachel! Whew! Jacob was busy at the request of his wife Leah and Rachel. We also see the contention between Jacob and Laban and the reunion of Jacob and Esau. 

In this study we see how God blesses Jacob despite Uncle Laban's control and eventually releases Jacob from the abuse of Laban. We also see how God can restore families! Regardless of how long you have been separated from your family and love ones, if you want to be restored, God can bring that restoration. Humble yourself, forgive and watch God work on your behalf to bring wholeness in your family and with your loved ones. Blessings!
