The name of Reesom Haile is well known in Eritrea and its Diaspora. In his poems Reesom expresses the love and anguish and longing shared with all Eritreans. My recently published book, "The Eritrean Letter Writers: Dear Mr President", is imaginatively narrated by Reesom. He tells the story of the G-13, men and women who wrote the Berlin Manifesto and confronted Isaias Afwerki to discuss the plight of Eritrea under his leadership.
