Taking a break!
Taking a break manuscript: After three seasons of the #StopDevauation Podcast I have decided to take a break and allow time to build a larger repertoire of interviews with value-generating leaders who are making a difference in their world.
There are 140 episodes for many to go back and re-listen because they carry such depth from individuals who have overcome horrific experiences of prejudice, devaluation, and dehumanization as well as established leaders who use their platforms for the good of humanity. Actually, the entire Unmasking Prejudice: Silencing the Internal Voice of Bigotry audio book is found in previous episodes. The whole audio book!
I’m not going anywhere and the #StopDevaluation movement continues to grow with greater impact. You can find hundreds of videos on the YouTube channel, follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and check out the website at StopDevaluation.com to download free eBooks.
I want to thank all of you who have been faithful listeners, I would love to hear from you at stopdevaluation@gmail.com
Continue to be a part of this movement of courageous voices who will continue to build bridges across the cultural divides through validation. Many who have experienced injustice and devaluation are looking for YOU, who are willing to be an instrument of justice using their power, their voice, their platforms for the good of others. Thank you for demonstrating love, honor, and validation to all that you meet.

Melodye Hilton shares her story of child sexual abuse as she interviews Cognitive Therapist, Jerome Joseph. We often minimize, as Melodye did, or exaggerate our past experiences. The core of anxiety is an overestimation of danger and an underestimation of our ability at the same time; therefore, I cannot cope. Our labels shape our perspective as our behaviors follow. We interpret today's events based upon those labels. We can attach positive labels to people and situations that can shift how we think, believe, and function. Looking at civil rights movements there was a shifting of labels, people realized it was a good thing so they supported it, and the result was amazing changes in our human history. Positive and healthy labeling has to be intentional as we consciously rehearse the new because internally we will have automatic labels based upon our experiences. EP114 To Value or Not to Value? That is the question.
Just because something is culturally tolerated does not make it right, because it is the loudest doesn't make it true, or because it's all we've ever known doesn't make it beneficial. Injustice, abuse of power, prejudice, and the thought that a human being can be "owned" by another is inherently wrong. Either we will conform to the majority or courageously take a stand and herald a voice for what is right, just, and pure.
