Marketing is not a a set list of actions to take that lead to a certain result. Marketing is completely customized to leverage what the business has access to. It’s thinking out of the box for possibilities, seeing if it’s possible then creating a strategy to do it. The strategy is in the creativity. So if you have no network, how are you going to get in front of people? Or if you have no online presence but a huge network of corporate connections.. Are you going to use that to your advantage?
It’s not that one strategy is better than another, it’s what strategy fits best for you right now.. implementing it and see if it works. What works now might not work next round but try it again in a year and you could have massive success.
Marketing is constantly adapting to the circumstances - audience reach, money, attitude, time, etc and creating a new plan based on right now. Then finding what will work for the next time..

How To Get Your First Coaching Client
Getting your first coaching client is a big deal! So what do you do once you decided to coach people or you’re fresh out of a certification program?
You network.
It really comes down to two paths.
First - you reach out to your community and the network you already have established. Friends, acquaintances, family.. someone you’ve briefly come in contact with and haven’t talked to in a while, past colleagues etc.
These are your WARM leads who already know you and have some level of trust built with you. This makes the process a lot faster to enroll new clients.

Creating a Freebie (Freemium)
Freebies, also known as freemiums are beneficial for two reasons.
ONE - this gives potential customers a chance to see what it’s like to work with you and showcase your skills in a free gift. This builds trust and encourages your customers to invest in your services.
TWO - this builds your email list! The freebie is free, of course but in order to receive the gift, your audience will need to submit their email address so you can send the gift to them. From here you can nurture those leads and prompt them to invest with you.

Facebook Groups for Coaches
Facebook groups can be a great place to create a highly engaged audience. The upside is collecting email addresses from group members to grow your list plus a place to create community. The downside is keeping that group active with original content and keeping your members active.
I’ve had a highly engaged FB group and made a lot of money from it. After a year I didn’t keep engaging in there and it was nearly impossible to build it back up again. If this is something you will keep up with, it’s definitely worth it!

How To Stand Out Online
The way you stand out as a coach in the noisy online space is to be as much of you as possible. I know it almost sounds cheesy and vague but I’m talking about magnifying you.
Share who you really are, become confident in yourself.
The difference is that you have to be all of you - not become someone you aren’t.
Which also means you ‘clean up’ the area of your life that you feel less than/or out of integrity.
Once you start that process your confidence will naturally increase knowing you are so grounded in yourself.
Standing out isn’t a brand color, or a catchy name or anything external. It’s your energy- take care of your inside and it will show on the outside.
Once you’ve got that down and you’re willing to be seen - start putting yourself out there.
You’ve got to be SEEN by your ideal clients.You have a responsibility to the people who need you.

How to Create a Coaching Program
As long as the end result is provided then your client is going to be happy.
When signing up for coaching, your perspective client has no idea how you run it and however you say it is, they are going to accept it as is.
Your clients are going to be IN with whatever set up you choose so long as they get that end goal.
Remember, you’re in charge here.
You are the creator of this!
And don’t think you need to go super fancy with tons of resources.
Most people want to get the answer directly rather than sifting through tons and tons of content!
There are no rules on how to run your coaching program!
But I have tips on helping you create it:
Step 1: What is the end result? If someone is going to pay you then they are doing it to leave your coaching program with a desired result. Identify that first.
Step 2: Reverse Engineer. Work backwards. If you need to provide the client with a transformation to leave with the new result then what are the steps they need to take to get there?
Step 3: Framework. This is all up to how you can best facilitate that transformation the client is looking for. You choose this and you can always change it later. Do you meet weekly, biweekly or multiple times a week? Do your clients have access to you in between sessions? This is based on what YOU want to do!
