REVELATION #1: Introducing the Book of Revelation - Prof. Paul Trebilco
We are doing a three week mini-series to open up the Biblical book of Revelation. Check in with us as Otago University Professor Paul Trebilco from the Theology department as he kicks things off with a deep dive and overview. We look at what Revelation "is" in terms of the writing style/genre, the communication and meaning of some of the numbers and imagery of the book, and it's meaning in the midst of suffering.
The word of God is alive and active and critical part of the journey of faith. This episode helps us in our faith journey to gain some of the wider context and foundations of thought to enable us to better enage with the Word of God by the power of the Spirit. I hope you find this helpful and enlivening.
If you want to explore taking some study at Otago University, many students can take up to 5 theology papers as part of a degree, so it's totally worth checking out. There is an excellent faculty and a fantastic range of papers across theology, biblical studies, pastoral care and more. There's also great post-grad options too if you are looking at your next steps. Check it out:
