Reflections & Relationships
Over the past several months, my goal with this podcast has been to shed light on some of the things that we go through – the good and the bad – as women building businesses online, and share the conversations I have with the brilliant women in my circle.

Being the breadwinner and building a business with a newborn
Depression, codependency and trauma, dealing with failure

As I close out the final episode of Coaching & Conversations, I want to invite you to continue the conversation with me on instagram @TaVonaDenise.
Also, if you’re wondering, how do I know so many people? I thought I’d share my secret with you. Enjoy!

Episode 19: Redefining What You Do
TaVona took a BIG step recently. She put in her letter of resignation to the hospital she’s worked at for decades. Saying it was hard is an understatement. We say we want to work for ourselves, we say we want to get rid of the hours of patient note paperwork, we say we’re tired of the clinic. However, though many truly do want those things, it takes a leap of faith in yourself and ability to let go that part of your identity to make this shift. As you can imagine, this is easier said than done. Do you want to leave your 9-5 for running your own business but find yourself in limbo between who you've identified as in the past and who you want to become? The only way to get there is to let go. Listen in on how TaVona navigates this emotional process and her advice on how to detach from the old and step into your new identity.

Episode 18: How To Successfully Network Online
Turns out networking online is a lot like online dating. What?! Yes you heard that right! As weird as it may sound, the energy you bring into the online space, believe it or not, is still just as palpable as the energy someone brings to a date. You might not always be able to put your finger on exactly what is off, but you know when that person’s vibe just isn’t for you. Engaging with potential clients, referral sources, accountability partners etc. (the list is endless) is something that needs to be approached in the same authentic way you bring yourself to a dating situation. What does that actually look like? Listen in as TaVona gives us tangible examples of how this approach will work in your favor.

Episode 17: Indecision Fatigue
Many people have become familiar with the term “decision fatigue” as illustrated by Steve Jobs notoriously only wearing black turtles necks. Knowing what you’ll wear everyday is a way to limit the decisions you need to make within a day which then frees up mental space for the more important decisions to be made wisley throughout the day.
But fewer talk about the flip side of this coin. We are in the age of information overload and there are always 50,000 options for one simple thing in your business. Turns out the inability to make a decision creates a whole new kind of fatigue. Let’s save the energy it takes to constantly bounce between 17 different options and clarify the trajectory of our businesses. In this episode, TaVona will help us see how indecision actually will lead you to more work and inevitably more fatigue. Moreover, she shares a simple strategy that requires only a pen and paper that will knock out indecision fatigue before it has the chance to manifest.
