It is ONE YEAR - 12 Months in Tashkent

This beautiful country, this nice city has taught me a lot. Starting with another year is equally exciting and promising. The students have been the best teachers to me. They have taught me to believe in Integrity and Respect.

This month since 15 August, I have been to EcoPark with the Kids of Artur and had a good visit with him to the EcoCafe where I found it is a place for Vegetarians.

There is a new batch - a new session at the university. There is an active presence with Reels on Instagram where I am speaking about the Best Books and Movies - as reviews and recommendations.

Episode 15 is just a random flow of emotions as well.

#TashkentDiaries is the hashtag for the photos on Instagram = https://www.instagram.com/teacher.parv/ but it has become more than that. Any thought and any refinement happening in me and my works is due to the place. It is also true that it is the people, places and interactions that make you grow. The same has been the case with Tashkent - Uzbekistan.

This episode talks about homesickness but is led by Gulzar Saheb's Nazms, Raahgir Bhai's Kacha Ghada poem and also one of mine from the #KoneyKaCabin blog.

The wonderful celebration of Indian Independence Day organised by the Indian Embassy in Uzbekistan also has some special credit for the goodness of feelings in this episode.

This is Part 02 of the long conversation with you. I visited Samarkand (Uzbekistan) just before the Navruz Festival days. On the 19 and 20 of March, I went there with my colleague Dr Alisher who belongs to Samarkand Region. He went ahead leaving me at Samarkand to be the Sole Traveller! The things to see there can be listed as many but what I could see in those 2 days and 1 night are here with a recommendation to MUST JOIN Samarkand to feel its historical essence.

• Tashkent to Samarkand around 3-4 hours depending on the way you travel
• You cross regions and mountains and cities.
• Hotels should be taken near The Registan Square to make it easy to move around.
• Registan Square should be kept for the evening so that you can join it at Sunset and see the lights on the majestic buildings.
• Silk Road Tourism Centre is a newly built area where you find the developing Uzbekistan. This part was also active during the SCO 2022 as well.
• Go there around noon and stay till the evening to see lights, concerts and the weather.
• Do not miss the boating and shopping and bread - tea as well
• Eternal Village here has Food, Art Galleries of Awarded Traditional Artists like pottery, clothing, metal, jewellery and ironsmiths and more
• It has the SILK ROAD 'real' things where you get to see the spices we see in India and how the silk route too these to the world.
• Move to the south of this eternal village to see tall-building of Hotels and also see the Dacha i.e. Villas in the Eco Village. This wooden - Japanese architecture majestic villas are available for rent for family stays.
• Move far south through the pedestrian through Wild Flower Gardens and reach a lake.
• This is for picnics and fishing and just sitting for hours with kids and family and friends under the horizon

I did not go to Konigil Paper Factory which remains on the list for the next visit.

He wanted to talk for an interview; he demanded time and I agreed! That is how we got this 80-minute talk about my thinking and his point of view. Akshay Gupta engages in an unending talk about life and learning with me. I get a chance to answer questions from him and I also realised in this episode that I have some distinctively personal ideas as well.

He took me in His Anoop Yatra Gurukul and gave me the teachings that have made me what I am trying to be now. The confidence, the learning and the unending hunger to learn more and more are  - His impact on me. It is not just parveen, but many like me who have been crafted by this Magician. 

He celebrates his Birthday on 13 March and I share this podcast to send my wishes and my gratitude to Him!

I know how it matters to me - what it has been to get those years of confidence and learning where I got to speak at that level with his blessings and power.

As he is a matchless teacher - I toil to touch the path he has conquered in his life!

घर से ताशकंद लौटने के बाद ये पहला एपिसोड है. 1  फ़रवरी से आज तक जो  हुआ वो सब तो नहीं पर कुछ अनुभव हैं इसमें। सर्वेश्वर दयाल सक्सेना जी की कविता, कुश शेर, आइस-हॉकी देखने का अनुभव, पुरानी बड़ी गाड़ियों का संग्रह, बोबा चाय और आइस क्रीम, एकलव्य का नया रूप, शिव को नमन करते हुए जीवन के कुछ सबक - कुछ इधर उधर की  बातें!

Remembering Nida Fazzli Saheb on the day he departed for heaven! 

कई साल बाद जब दिल को ठोकर खाने के बाद वापिस मां की गोद याद आई यानी जब दोबारा साहित्य पढ़ने का शौक जागा, तो फिर एक नाम सामने आया नाम था "निदा फाजली"। नाम पढ़ते ही सोलोमन के घोड़े की टापें सुनाई देने लगीं, और याद आया वो समंदर जो उकड़ू बैठ गया और उकता कर जिसने जहाजों को पलट दिया, याद आई  बिल्ली से चूजों को बचाने के चक्कर में अंडे के गिर कर टूट जाने पर दो दिन रो रो कर नमाज़ पढ़ने वाली मां। दिलो दिमाग पर छाई हुई धुंध अचानक छंट गई, ये वही निदा फ़ाज़ली थे जिनके साथ बरसों पहले हमारा रिश्ता हिंदी की किताब से जुड़ा था। निदा यानी आवाज वो आवाज़ जो अब भी सन्नाटे में गूंजती है, वो शायर जिसकी शायरी गर्मी के मौसम में आम की मिठास की याद दिलाती है, किताब खोलने पर लगता है कि जैसे मिठाई का डिब्बा खोल दिया, आप यकीनन एक पन्ना पलटकर नहीं जा सकते, निदा खुबसूरत हैं खुबसूरत भी इतने कि अगर लेखक ना होते तो पक्का हलवाई होते, अब जो आदमी धूप में भी मिठास घोल दे वो तो हलवाई ही हो सकता है वो कहते हैं "अच्छी संगत बैठकर संगी बदले रूप जैसे मिलकर आम से मीठी हो गई धूप"

After entering into the Second Month here- There is more to say- more to share and there are unending emotions that come and get to the memories. The podcast is possible sometimes and sometimes you just want to feel the moment and cannot say it in words. Such experiences have a divine impact on you and when I speak, I am grateful to everyone who appreciates me for being me. I am of the view that destiny has its own ways and we cannot keep on saying things about the future. The future comes from what we do now and without thinking of the results. I am in Tashkent - Uzbekistan as a Teacher now. I joined Amity University here as a Teacher in the International Foundation Studies where I am teaching English and Communication Skills to young children.

ज़िन्दगी के बारे में बहोत गहरा सोचने वाला आदमी अक्सर तन्हा रहता है, कहते हैं तन्हाई कलाकारों का नसीब है और अकेलापन उन्हें तोहफ़े में दिया जाता है। अब बात कितनी सही है और कितनी नहीं ये बात तो कोई कलाकार की बता सकता है, तन्हाई यूँ तो हर किसी को रास नहीं आती मग़र जिसे ऊपरवाला तौफ़ीक़ दे उसके लिए अकेले रहना बहोत काम का है। सर्दी की ऐसी ही अकेली शामों में जब सूरज अगले दिन दोबारा निकलने के लिए ज़रा जल्दी डूब जाता है मैं अक्सर अंधेरे एक कमरे में लैंप जलाकर जगजीत का रेडियो ऑन कर देता हूँ, एकांत हो शांति हो कोई भी फ़िज़ूल की बात करने वाला न हो तो जगजीत को सुनना अपने आप में एक ध्यान की क्रिया है, एक मेडिटेशन है। जगजीत मुझे इसलिए पसंद हैं क्योंकि वो आदमी को तन्हाई से निज़ात दिलाने के बजाए उसे और अकेला कर देते हैं, शराब का नशा जैसे आदमी को होश से नीचे गिरा देता है वैसे ही जगजीत की आवाज़ का नशा आदमी को होश से ऊपर ले जाता है, जहां जाकर वो अपने सब ग़म भुलाकर अपने आपको कायनात के समंदर में डूबा देता है और ख़ुद तक पहुंच जाता है, पूरी दुनिया ये मानती है कि ऊपरवाला यानि दुनिया बनाने वाला अद्वैत है ना वो एक है ना दो वो अद्वैत है यानी न तो सिंगल न ही ड्यूल। इसी की तर्ज़ पर मेरे हिसाब से जगजीत भी अद्वैत हैं वो भी अर्धनारीश्वर की तरह अपनी सह भागिनी यानी बेटर हॉफ के बिना अधूरे हैं, जगजीत और चित्रा दो होकर भी हमेशा एक ही रहे चाहे वो ग़ज़लें हो या पंजाबी टप्पे, दोनों एक दूसरे को complement करते हैं, एक दूसरे के पूरक हैं

जगजीत सिंह मेरे और आपके अपने हैं। दिल पर इतना राज तो बस जगजीत ही कर सकते हैं कि आप चाहते ही नहीं कि उनकी ग़ज़लें रुक जाएँ!

इस गुलदस्ते में हैं: 

1. शाम से आँख में नमी सी है
2. होशवालों को ख़बर क्या
3. तुम इतना जो मुस्कुरा रहे हो

I am My Students! This podcast series is a Salute to Each Student who has allowed me to become a Teacher in the classroom and beyond the walls as well. The best of me came out and is still in a positive quest, because the Learners have been my source of inspiration.
