Creative Aging: Finding memory and connection through art and nature.

Creative Aging: Finding memory and connection through art and nature.

In this discussion we explore the spiritual, emotional, physical, and neurological effects of nature through practical examples of programs developed for those with memory loss, dementia, and their care partners. Hear from experts from Microsoft Design, Frye Art Museum and the UW Memory and Brain Wellness Center. We've explored how the principles of inclusive design were applied in the development of these programs and provided suggestions to leverage nature as an antidote to the perils of everyday life during a pandemic.

Moderated by Lana Sutherland.

What is the Science of Taste? | Eat Smart with Dr. Peter Klosse and Adam Brumberg

Our tastes are manipulated more than we think, but understanding taste science can help us take back control of our diets. The modern era has led to our personal taste being something less to do with nature, and more to do with design. Our experts reveal that the more aware we are of these influences, the more we can use them to our advantage.

Featuring Gastronomer and Founder of T.A.S.T.E Dr. Peter Klosse along with the former deputy Director of the Cornell Institute for Behavioral Economics and Consumer Choice, Professor Adam Brumberg.

Hosted by Carly Williams. Produced by TEALEAVES
