Episode 9: Friendship, storytelling, and can you really just do it?
This month, we are sharing the conversation we had with the co-founders of We, Ceremony back in the spring. The network of women of color that is We, Ceremony grew from Iliana Panameño and Mu-Chieh Yun's friendship, and their desire to share positive and beautiful stories of women of color, including their own. Listen as they do just that with Lina and Rachel, and hear how they inspired us to be more intentional with holding digital space and the sacred power of storytelling.
Visit their website and instagram page (@weceremony) to learn more about their work. Read their interview with the founders of Women of Color in Solidarity here, where they discuss the use of the word "activist" as Iliana mentions.

Episode 8: Disparities in the Medical System
This season, we are diving deeper on The Activist Hustle. After each interview, our team will learn, reflect, and discuss the issues and themes that our guests bring up. In this episode, Lina and Rachel get passionate about injustices in our health care system. Try to keep up with us as we touch on a variety of related topics from implicit biases to maternal mortality to navigating this confusing system as millennials, all inspired by conversations with our previous guest, Raquel Sofia.

Episode 7: @2WOCQueenMDs
This month we are sharing our conversation with Raquel Sofia Sandoval, who is a Harvard Med School student and co-founder of the Instagram account @2WOCQueenMDs. She has been a leader for racial justice in medicine and healthcare and her work was borne out of truly wanting to make a difference in underserved communities. In this episode, Raquel Sofia shares her story openly and honestly with Lina and they relate over immigrating to the states from Colombia as kids and how it has affected their lives and career paths, especially when it comes to being the first or only women of color in the space.
Check out her Instagram page, which shares stories of women of color in the medical field.

Episode 6 | What We Don't Talk About When We Talk College Admissions Scandal
This season, we are diving deeper on The Activist Hustle. After each interview, our team will learn, reflect, and discuss the issues and themes that our guests bring up. In this episode, Lina and Rachel take a look at college admissions scandal, and what it doesn’t address about the inequities in our education system. Listen for a some bonus audio that didn’t make it into episode 5.

Episode 5 | The Passion Speaks for Itself
This month we had the pleasure of speaking to Javier Weddington, a co-founder of MIT BoSTEM Scholars. He is a neuroscience researcher at MIT, is about to start a PhD program, and is a proud Chicago Public Schools alumn. Javier shares his experience working towards more equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, particularly for youth of color. He also shares his wisdom about raising money, gathering a strong team for your work, and getting enough sleep. You can learn more at the MIT BoSTEM Scholars website and follow him on Twitter.
