Ms Jacqueline Poh was appointed Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) on 4 October 2021. She was previously Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Strategy Group, which leads and organises the Public Service to develop and implement the strategic priorities of the Government. She also oversaw the National Population and Talent Division and the Centre for Strategic Futures. Sonam Wangchuk is an Indian engineer, innovator and education reformist. He is the founding-director of the Students' Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL), which was founded in 1988 by a group of students who had been in his own words, the 'victims' of an alien education system foisted on Ladakh. He is also known for designing the SECMOL campus that runs on solar energy and uses no fossil fuels for cooking, lighting or heating.

The importance of measuring progress in your startup, and how to do it
Ang Xing Xian is the CEO and Co-Founder of CapBay, a leading Supply Chain Finance platform that helps businesses obtain smarter financing. Under his leadership, CapBay has provided more than USD 500 million in digital financing to businesses in Southeast Asia. Xing Xian has extensive experience in management consulting as a management consultant with Accenture Strategy, advising multinational companies on technology and analytics. He was also an in-house management consultant for Creador, a private equity firm. Xing Xian graduated from Oxford University with a Master’s in Computational Finance, following his Mathematics Bachelor's degree from Imperial College London.
In this talk, Xing Xian explains that given the outcomes entrepreneurs are aiming for are distant, measuring progress can be hard. He introduces the concept of elevated periods of growth in the journey of a startup, and periods where the company painfully grinds forward, and he explains how to measure progress for each and what happens in between them.

Why I attribute success to luck more than anything else
Derrick Lee is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Accredify. He oversees the entire process of Accredify's new products and features from ideation, to development and release. He is responsible for the firm's technical roadmap, policy, operational processes, and the growth of Accredify's tech team. Derrick began his career in tech at the age of 12, founding a series of multiple entrepreneurial ventures focused on tech solutions, including developing an online marketplace for website templates, app development, and a platform to facilitate Initial Coin Offerings. Together with his Co-founders, Derrick was recognised in Forbes 30 Under 30 Class of 2022.

Arvin Singh is the co-founder of hoolah, Southeast Asia’s first Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) payment provider that empowers consumers to afford the things they want through flexible payment options while helping merchants grow their payment capabilities. Yunus Sevimli is the co-founder and CTO of Almond FinTech. His work centres around promoting equitable access to technology across a breadth of fields. Prior to Almond, Yunus held leadership roles in early-stage ventures commercialising cutting-edge medical research, and devised low-tech approaches to poverty alleviation in rural Southeast Asia. He is the author of several patents and scientific papers across medtech, additive manufacturing and robotics. Yunus holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has recently been named among the 30 and Under Fintech Leaders in Singapore.
