The LEAD Curriculum collaborates with IBM, a global technology and consultancy company to identify and equip the next generation of young leaders to be successful and influential in school, work, and life while having a sense of self-worth and purpose.
We used a real company challenge as a vehicle to teach the principles and practice of being leaders in the service space. In this project, the challenge set was 'How can IBM SkillsBuild be used to encourage more women to take up leadership roles in the STEAM sector?'. Students were given 6 weeks to present their solution in a podcast.

The answer is 'Love and Happiness". What is they key question?

Never give up. Life is filled with possibilities
This podcast was made from the recording of our November 2021 GMC Event with our esteemed GOAL Model for the month Sreeram Visvanathan Manager of IBM UK and Ireland. Sreeram’s journey is the epitome of one who achieved success through pure hard work, humility and pursuing excellence. This is a story that shows how an attitude of being the best you can be with tasks you are given responsibility for, can create opportunities for you. Fear is an uncomfortable emotional state of mind, but it can drive us to take action to find a way out. Sreeram’s story is an extraordinary story of a man whose personal mantra underpinned by ‘never give up’ faced every obstacle with an insatiable appetite to find a way around it. When plan A failed, he always encouraged himself by saying there are 25 more letters in the alphabet. He wanted a better life for his parents and the generation coming after him. This drove him to carve out a path to overcome his fear and this led to the success he now enjoys. What a journey – from making coffee for the Partner to GM of a multinational company with responsibility for a 5 billion budget. If that is not success, then what is?!!
