Our organization’s larger mission is to help neurodivergent folks find the resources we need to live better lives as individuals and to further disability awareness and social justice efforts to improve all of our lives as part of the larger world community. As an overview, Dr. Owen's research combines neuroimaging (MRI and EEG) with neuropsychological studies in brain-injured patients and healthy participants. His lab seeks to understand the effects of brain injury in order to improve diagnosis and early detection and to find possible new treatments. In addition, he works to decode physiological signals of the brain that support cognition and behavior across different states of consciousness.
