As we stare Halloween dead in the eyes and witness game after game get deployed to our systems - we realize how quickly that backlog grows.  This podcast started with J&K all the way, and by gosh, it takes two to tango when we talk about the games of yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Kevin welcomes back Joel, Joe, Joey Joe - however you want to refer to him, the result is the same. You always get a little bit of something something.  J&K talk about Fortnite Chapter 2, Call of Duty, Realm Royale and a whole slew of other games on the radar for 2020. The Finale of Game of Thrones aired this past Sunday, resulting in a mixture of emotions and opinions across the Internet.  With more than 50% left unsatisfied with the direction of Season 8, and the impact Game of Thrones has on everybody's Backlogs, we felt it was appropriate to give the show a proper sendoff. 

Jerry Beharry returns to provide insight as a non-book reader, while Kevin's brother-in-law Frank Seitz and brother Jeremy Lane provide deep insight as "multiple time book readers".  Kevin hosts the show, navigating between different topics such as the controversy behind Season 8's pacing and the  writers moving to Disney to work on 3 Star Wars films.

In Episode 52, Joe and Kevin talk about the re-branding of The Backlog Exposed Podcast - now primarily known as "The Backlog Podcast".  They also get deep into the newly released World War Z and Joe provides a No Spoiler review of Avengers: End Game.  The podcast is packed with info and updates as well as great conversation. Every once in a while we like to dedicate entire episodes of the Backlog Podcast to other topics important to us and our listeners - so Episode 51 is dedicated to the newest Tag Team on Monday Night RAW, the Viking Raiders - otherwise known as The Viking Experience - otherwise known as The War Raiders - otherwise known as War Machine.

After Hanson and Rowe, current NXT Tag Team Champions,  arrived on RAW, fans were stunned to find out Vince McMahon changed their name at the last instant - first calling them the Berzerkers (ala the Jobber from years ago), and then settling on The Viking Experience - Ivar and Erick.  As someone who knows Todd (Hanson/Ivar) personally, this was a shock. The resulting meme and exposure turned into something more, and just before Raw on 4/22, their names changed again.  All we know is that their name doesn't matter - the job they do in the ring does.  Sorry for the delay, but enjoy this take on the name change and what's in store for the Viking Raiders.

There isn't much to say, other than Thank You.  50 Episodes in and we're just getting started.  Joe and Kevin tackle the status of the Podcast, think back to some fond memories over the past 50 episodes, and talk about some things to come.  Also, it wouldn't be a good reminiscing of old Backlog  Podcast episodes without a few audio glitches in the mix.  Sorry for Kevin's feed, there was some rabbits chewing his microphone cable.  It'll be fixed next episode!

In Episode 49, the boys are back together and they are excited.  One more episode until that big 50 mark.  Kevin hits Joel with some quickfire - discussing a wide range of topics from the latest Video Game and VR news like No Man's Sky VR coming this Summer, to WrestleMania and NXT TakeOver NY.  It's always good when you get nearly an hour and a half with Kevin and Joel going back and forth giving their opinions on gaming headsets, next generation consoles and controllers, Game of Thrones final Season, the Shazam and Captain Marvel movies, and a boat-load more.  Take some time and listen to it all - and then you'll be caught up with what's happening.

Kevin talks about updates and recaps what is to come for the next few episodes of the Backlog Exposed.  Lots have happened recently, but with Kevin sidelined, we haven't gotten to all the news.  This touches on what is important and we'll be gearing up and getting ready with both Kevin and Joe in the coming days.

In this mid-week episode of the Backlog Exposed, Kevin hosts his friend and football guru Jerry to the podcast to discuss the current outlook of the NFL Playoffs with just 2 weeks left to go.  They also discuss the heat the Patriots get from across the league and how success tends to bring hate from abroad - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.  By the end of the Podcast, the two get deep into the newly announced XFL Revamp by Vince McMahon - going over teams, updated rule-sets, and if this has any sort of sustainability.  This is a great episode to jump in and get started with the Backlog.
