JESSY'S COME HOME!

We could not be more delighted to share this episode with you all, one of many from a deep backlog inside the BPFC Time Capsule.
Originally recorded on 16 March 2022, this episode features El Capitan Neal, Ama, Jessy, and Joseph diving into a smorgasbord of football; starting with recapping all of the drama in all of our fave domestic leagues in Around The Pitch. The Main Segment sees the fearsome foursome review the UEFA Champions League and Europa League fixtures in their trademark style. Finally, we wrap with Extra Time; where the hosts speak candidly about whatever was on their minds that week.
Don't delay! Press play! Get your life!

Episode 74: Sanctioned in a Blue Dress
When we move, you move. Just like that.
When we move, you move. Just like that?
When we move, you move. Just like that?!
Hell yeah! Aye, hot takes! Bring that back!
Yep, dun know already what it is: the gahtdamn reason you're in VIP, it's the World's Greatest Podcast™©® The Banter Pub FC; back with another - yes, another - Friendsgiving-sized serving of that BPFC Time Capsule goodness to fill you up right. Hope you made room, sweetness.
Recorded 10 March 2022, The Pub's alleged "favourite host" and International Playboy & Man of Mystery himself Jonathan commandeers the mic this week: with El Capitan Neal, Jonathan, and, much later, Joseph making up the rest of Jonathan's crew of podcasting pirates. We set sail on a course to go Around the Pitch first, where MLS, Serie A, La Liga, the Bundesliga, and Premier League, the Manchester Derby most notably. The Main Segment is nothing but choppy waters. Fair warning: the lads all go in hot regarding the reports of Roman Abramovich being sanctioned and how it affected Chelsea Football Club at the time. Amid the revelling in the schadenfreude, the boys all get real with what the future of the club is ensnared in at that present time. Each of the boys goes hell for leather, airing out every ounce of emotion and leaving no stone unturned.
Finally, we wrap with Extra Time. You know the deal: sixty seconds and we're gone like the Fast & Furious.
There's so much more to give you, Jesus wept. How much more? You'll see. No hints. No telling. No competition.

Episode 73: The Trilliad
Epic tings a gwan this week when the Father of All Fathers comes through to lead the BPFC line.
Yep, dun know already what it is. Can't stop, won't stop, it's the World's Greatest Podcast™©® The Banter Pub FC; back with more of that BPFC Time Capsule goodness for you all to feast on.
Recorded 3 March 2022, The Pub's incomparable big man on campus Ama is your emcee this week: with El Capitan Neal, Jonathan, and Joseph making up the rest of the esteemed entourage and inner circle. The title of the episode should've given it away because Around The Pitch is nothing short of epic this week from MLS, Serie A, Coppa Italia, Premier League, the Bundesliga, La Liga, Copa Del Rey, and Ligue 1. The Main Segment is an aural adventure in its own right; starting with commentary about Roman Abramovich's decision to sell Chelsea Football Club in the wake of Russia's decision to invade and attack Ukraine. We segue into Poland, Sweden, and the Czech Republic all refusing to play against Russia in the respective World Cup Qualifiers because of the invasion as well as analysing FIFA's clumsy handling of the situation; first suspending Russia before eventually ejecting Russia from World Cup Qualifying altogether and critiquing EA Sports decision to remove the Russian National team and all Russian Premier League football clubs from its FIFA video game franchise.
Finally, we wrap with Extra Time. You know the drill: sixty seconds, all heart.
Simply put: there's plenty more where that came from. We da best, no DJ Khalid.

Episode 72: The Big Payback [With A Vested Interest]
Back at it again like that one kid with the white Vans, it's the Wooooooooooorld's Greatest Podcast™©®! Too f*ck*ng right, it's The Banter Pub FC; the gold standard in football commentary; the spiciest team in the game with the sauciest takes on the pitch. It's another day so you know what that means: another episode in the BPFC Time Capsule to drop on that head top.
Recorded 24 February 2022, The Pub's beloved prodigal son Adam is your host with the most this episode; with El Capitan Neal, Ama, and Joseph providing backup vocals while Adam assumes the role of lead singer and busts out the tunes to make your significant another swoon. It's nothing but the hits as the lads launch straight into Around The Pitch, covering all kinds of European domestic action from Serie A to the Premier League; the Bundesliga to La Liga; Ligue 1; and European continental competition (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Europa Conference League). The Main Segment sees the troupe tearing into the news of the USWNT settling their lawsuit against US Soccer for $24 million and what their respective takes on it were, such as what does this mean going forward for Equal Pay and future generations of female footballing talent. Finally, we wrap with Extra Time. You know the law: sixty seconds, all killer, no filler.
It's a wonderful day in the neighbourhood, a beautiful day in the neighbourhood, won't you be ours? Could you be ours?

Episode 71: Sir, This Is a Whole Panasonic
Upsets. Upsets everywhere. That's the theme of this week's episode!
We're unloading another episode at you from the container that is it's the m*th*rf*ck*ng World's Greatest Podcast™©® The Banter Pub FC Time Capsule. Yes, the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch is back again to deliver unto thy keen ears the takes that only BPFC can produce.
Recorded 17 February 2022, The Pub's resident amateur footballer in Joseph is given the hosting reins this week, with El Capitan Neal, Jonathan, and The Pub's resident Grandmaster Flash in Rosler filling out the rest of the team sheet. Around The Pitch sees rousing discussion of certain FA Cup Shenanigans, the Bundesliga, Serie A, and European continental competition (Champions League, Europa League, and a notable Europa Conference League result respectively) results before punching it and zooming into the Main Segment. This week, the lads chat about Gianni Infantino's baffling [yet predictable] reasoning as to what the alleged benefits of hosting the World Cup every two years instead of quadrennially are. Additionally, the boys chastise a pair of German soccer coaches banned for using fraudulent vaccine passes. Football can really be an idiocracy sometimes, word to Mike Judge. Finally, the mandem muse over what moved them personally in Extra Time. Sixty seconds or less, you know how the ting go.
There's still so much more to go before this BPFC Time Capsule is empty. Stay tuned. You're gonna like what you hear. We guarantee it.

Episode 70: Paper Bag Quarters
Football has more than one royal family.
Ya dun know who that is! It's the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch, goddammit. The World's Greatest Podcast™©®, the sinister septuplet your significant other warned you about, the very best that no one ever was (word to Ash from Pokémon), The Banter Pub FC is back with another episode fresh out of the BFPC Time Capsule.
See? Told you we're steady grinding. Don't watch that, cuz.
Anyway, the episode. Recorded 27 January 2022, The Father of All Fathers Ama is lord of the manor this week with El Capitan Neal, Adam, Rosler, and Joseph filling out the rest of the distinguished delegates at the banquet table. Mixing it up this week, it's not Around The Pitch but AFCON The Pitch; where our heroes dive right into the glory that is the African Cup of Nations while domestic campaigns are suspended due to the international break. Before getting into the action, The Pub sent its sincere condolences and sympathies to those affected by the crush in Yaoundé that regrettably killed eight people. After that moment of reflection, the lads dug right into the astounding results from Tunisia knocking Nigeria out; Cameroon humbling Comoros (but not before Comoros produced one of the finest goals in tournament history); Morocco breaking Malawian hearts, and The Gambia continuing their AFCON fairy-tale by dispatching Guinea. Three matches went to penalties, and Senegal v. Cape Verde was a sending-off fest... you're going to love this week's AFCON-flavoured edition of Around The Pitch.
The Main Segment is another Transfer Tease where big moves and rumoured big moves are analysed down to the final signature. The episode wraps with Extra Time. You know the deal: sixty seconds. All heart. All passion. No filler.
You should get more snacks if you haven't already because... tuh. Baby. This BPFC time capsule? Sweetie, it's FULL.
You love it tho.

Episode 69: nice.
Yeah, baby. We know you like it extra spicy. We know you want it muy caliente.
Well, you're in luck. It just so happens that The World's Greatest Podcast™©® is the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch; back with another batch of aural gorgeousness. Oh, you didn't know? Then yo' ass better caaaaaaaaall someboooooodaaaaaaaaaaa-
*ahem*. Anyway, where were we? Right, right. Football. BPFC Time Capsule. Cool, cool.
Recorded 20 January 2022, El Capitan Neal is back in the driver's seat this week with Ama riding shotgun, Jonathan with the aux cable, Rosler calling out directions, and Joseph texting on his phone. We do the rounds. Geddit? Because the segment is called... Around The Pitch. See? Geddit? No? Well, damn. Tough crowd. In any regard, Around the Pitch consists of plenty of juicy chatter around action in Ligue 1, La Liga, Premier League, EFL Cup, Bundesliga, Serie A, and finally a generous heaping of delicious AFCON content; complete with reactions to results and looking ahead to the Round of Sixteen. The Main Segment introduces El Capitan's latest brainchild of a segment called the Transfer Tease (which is fitting, and we don't need to say why do we?), where your boys dive into some of the strongest rumours of big-time ballers switching [or not switching] allegiances. The mandem wrap with the goodness: Extra Time. Sixty seconds. Lend us your ears.
Get comfortable and make room. There's plenty more for that ass where that came from.
The Pub Awaits...

Episode 68: The United & The Restless
Did you miss us?
Oh, who are we kidding? OF COURSE, YOU MISSED US. Bet you thought we were done out here, ha? Bet you thought we weren't staying low and building, ha? Bet you thought we disbanded, ha? Bet you thought we weren't for real when we said we're a goddamn family out here, ha? Don't get us wrong... we're still paper chasing. We're also the sinister septuplet podcasting arsonists keeping the block on fire. That's right. Forever remaining the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch until the moment we expire. You know what it is: making nothing out of something, handling biz, and don't be cryin' and sufferin'.
Huge if true. Wink, wink.
Let's get straight to it. Recorded 13 January 2022, Rosler takes hosting duties as El Capitan Neal, Ama, Jonathan, and Joseph go Around The Pitch touching on high drama in Serie A, Supercoppa Italiana, Premier league, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Bundesliga, and a spot of AFCON where we preview our special AFCON episodes entitled For Africans Only (also known as FAO). The lads cruise into the Main Segment, where they condemn and analyze the moment Australian footballer Josh Cavallo was subjected to homophobic abuse during an A-League match between Adelaide United and Melbourne Victory. It goes without saying that The Pub stands with LGBTQIA people in the game -- footballers, fans, supporters, staff. Nevertheless, we're saying it anyway and we stand in solidarity with Josh. Finally, BPFC switches gears to Extra Time where we do the usual: sixty (60) seconds to talk about something that moved each of our respective hosts; with The Father of All Fathers Ama leading off.
In the great words of our very own Adam (via Timbaland), it's been a long time. We shouldn't have left you with some hot takes to step to. The best in the world is back, no CM Punk. Press play, strap in, and brace yourself.
The Pub Awaits.

Joining the host with the most Jonathan in this smashing FAO finale are Ama, El Capitan Neal, Rosler (on the decks), and Joseph; waxing lyrical about the final between Senegal and Egypt and the dramatic encounter for 3rd-place between host nation Cameroon and Burkina Faso.

And oh buddy, do we have a special episode for you this week (recorded 6 January 2021). Ya boys at The Pub took some time to review the last calendar year in football and thought it'd be a lot of fun to award choice moments and people after a group vote/consensus. And lo, The Pubbies were born! This new inaugural event takes the entire calendar year of association football around the world's major leagues and sifts through the best (and the worst) before awarding them with the gong for their respective category! Hosts Ama, El Capitan Neal, Rosler, Jonathan, and Joseph take turns deliberating the nominees for Underperforming Player, Most Unappreciated Player, Best Manager, Biggest Racismo, Most Improved Player, Most Improved Team, Best Goal, Most Overrated Club, the prestigious Puballon d'Or (best overall player, regardless of league, gender et al), Best Kit, and Most Impactful Transfer before ultimately deciding a winner for each given grouping.
The lads wrap up by cruising through the Host Awards, a cheeky few nods to the moments only The Banter Pub's wonderous masters of ceremonies could bring you before firing through the 2021 Dishonourable Mentions list. The Main Segment unpacks UEFA's decision to ban Ajax's 'Three Little Birds' shirt (specifically: the three little birds on the back of the neck just under the collar) and the summer NWSL's Washington Spirit had (inspired by an article written by Jeff Kassouf for The Equalizer) and, crucially, their tyrannical owner [at the time of recording] in Steve Baldwin. BPFC wraps with Extra Time, where everyone opens up to talk about what was on their minds and what moved them that week in sixty (60) seconds or less. Or... y'know. The rules to Extra Time are a bit like the final season in Game of Thrones: it doesn't really matter.
#BingeTheBanter, bishes! Season Three is LIVE and all up in your stere-ery-ery-ero. No excuses. Only Banter Pub.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 59: Return of The Macks

b(1): YOUTHFUL

c: of more recent date and therefore inferior or subordinate a junior lien
2: of or relating to juniors or the class of juniors at an educational institution the junior prom
3: shorthand for The World's Greatest Podcast™©®, The Banter Pub FC's third season.
That's right! It's the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch back for thirds in what promises to be the biggest season yet for the Sensational Sextet. Six Til Infinity. FC Drip AKA Six Feet Under because the boys stay what? Fresh to death. Six In The City. The Sixth Sense. Final Sixdenation. Look, you get the point. The Banter Pub FC is back!
Getting straight to business, the mandem (recorded 9 September 2021) open up their junior season with discussions around a certain Argentina v. Brazil World Cup qualifier fixture; the United States men's national team (USMNT) doing just enough; Memphis Depay's La Liga debut for Barcelona; allegations against Benjamin Mendy; and a deep dive into some of Europe's top leagues (including the Premier League) as they stood in a ferocious edition of Around The Pitch.
The Main Segment covered the Champions League group stage draw as well as everyone's top three transfers in the summer window. BPFC wraps with Extra Time, where everyone opens up to talk about what was on their minds and what moved them that week in sixty (60) seconds or less. Or... y'know. The rules to Extra Time are a bit like the points in Whose Line Is It Anyway: they don't really matter.
#BingeTheBanter, ya bish. Season Three is finally here. No excuses. Get on it.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 58: No Fade McGee (Season 2 Finale)
It's been a stunning sophomore season for your boys at The Banter Pub FC (the sauciest team in the game with nothing but the spiciest takes on the pitch) but all good things must come to an end... mainly to prepare for bigger and better things but also to what? REST. Before we do though, there's a certain set of i's to dot and t's to cross and it comes in the form of the blockbuster finale to BPFC's second season. 2 whole hours of analysis, shenanigans, nuclear takes, and salient observations; just the way you like them and that's the BPFC way.
With comrade Adam in the lead host's hot seat (originally recorded on 29 July 2021), the mandem (El Capitan Neal, Ama, Jonathan, and Joseph) get it crackalackin' with a scorching edition of Around The Pitch. In it, the following is discussed: the Gold Cup semi-finals are set and predictions are made; the USWNT's Tokyo 2020 group stage results and how they reflected the concerns supporters had about the team selection; Olympic tournament quarterfinals are set for both the Women's and Men's competitions and BPFC go about making their boldest predictions as to who is medalling and who isn't. Were any of them right? You have to listen to find out!
We then move into the Main Segment, where both issues on deck are relating to the women's beautiful game. First, Racing Louisville's home ground (Lynn Family Stadium) is known for hosting a light show since LouCity started playing at the ground in 2020. The issue? No apparent regard for the health and safety of players and staff who live with sensory issues (including but not limited to: epilepsy). The lads unpack the controversy as it raged at the time and it's a very riveting listen. Rounding out this episode's Main Segment is the incident in Vienna, Austria where Nigeria's Super Falcons were subjected to being publicly harrassed and abused by a Nigerian man who conveniently forgot the difference between the Nigerian football team and the Nigerian government just so he could go on a political tirade on public transport. The boys pour over the incident in excruciating detail, best summarized by Ama as he eloquently and passionately delivers a historical context that is largely missing from other outlets covering the incident.
Finally, it's the very last Extra Time of the season! You know the drill: 60 seconds, say whatever's on your mind in the time allowed. And just when you think that's that on that for BPFC's second season, Rosler gets the de-facto final word in to announce which Premier League club he intends to support.
We cannot thank every denizen of all 31 countries we're listened to in for their support, their time, and their attention. It's been a magnificent sophomore season. Season Three, however, is where even more stops are pulled out... and it's coming sooner than you might think.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 57 - The Invisible Man
It's the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch back again to drop some of that sweet sweet content on your dome piece. It's The World's Greatest Podcast™©®, The Banter Pub FC baybeeee!
Not much left inside the BPFC Time Capsule to unearth but this episode (recorded 15 July 2021) might be the most special of the lot. El Capitan Neal, Ama, Adam, Jonathan, Rosler and Joseph are joined in The Pub by a very special guest co-host. In keeping with the tradition of having nothing but the finest and most prestigious guests, Kyle Carr -- co-creator of the Henny Derby, Mr. Do-It-All for Brew Hoop blog, one-third of WalkIn90, and one of the founders of Featherstone Flamingos (a Forward Madison SC-affiliated supporter group) -- comes through and blesses The Pub with his presence; chopping it up with your podcasting heroes.
With the pleasantries and Kyle's introduction done and dusted, the mandem get right into it with a sweltering edition of Around The Pitch where Argentina's Copa America final win, Italy's EURO 2020 final win, the Major League Soccer tables, the National Women's Soccer League table, and the United Soccer League (USL) tables all get unpacked and analysed. BPFC wraps with Extra Time, where everyone opens up to talk about what was on their minds and what moved them that week.
#BingeTheBanter, ya bish. Before you know it, Season Three kicks off and you should know by now to stay ready so you don't have to get ready.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 56: Basmati Rice, Not Instant Rice
Now let us welcome everybody to The Wild Wild Pub! A place that's untouchable like [John] Wick with a gun. The pod hits ya eardrums like a thump to the chest. Six of the best with the spiciest takes on deck!
You! Already knooooooow, word to Big Frieda. It's the sauciest team in the game with nothing but the spiciest takes on the pitch. The World's Greatest Podcast™©®, The Banter Pub FC; still dropping content on that ass as we empty out the last of the contents inside the BPFC Time Capsule.
The BPFC Time Capsule has unsealed a while ago but we're releasing every-bloodclaat-ting whether you like it or not (though we do hope it's the former and not the latter, for the record). In this episode (recorded 8 July 2021), El Capitan Neal, Ama, Jonathan, Rosler and Joseph settling into The Pub and getting right down to business. Our heroes cover Copa America and EURO 2020 ahead of the respective final matches, the state of the tables in Major League Soccer, and how the race for the National Women's Soccer League championship is coming along in a searing edition of Around The Pitch.
The Main Segment this week has the lads discussing Racismo! because anti-Blackness takes no days off and neither do we when it comes to combatting it. Starting with unpacking Major League Soccer's inability to corroborate allegations of Diego Chara getting racially abused during the Portland Timbers v. Minnesota United FC match, the boys then slide into chatting about CF Montreal's decision to trade Erik Hurtado to Columbus Crew SC for $200,000 in general allocation money due to Hurtado's refusal to get vaccinated before wrapping up with covering Hartford Athletic's Younes Boudadi's being racially abused by Loudon United FC supporters. BPFC wraps with Extra Time where everyone takes 30-60 seconds to talk about what was on their minds and what moved them that week.
#BingeTheBanter, part of a balanced and nutritional breakfast.

BPFC Set Piece - It's The End Of The Season As We Know It (End of European 2020/21 Domestic Campaigns)
Who's ready for another Set Piece with The Banter Pub FC, bay bay?! Again: we're not Adam Cole but... you know it's all about The Pub! Yes, The World's Greatest Podcast™©®; the sauciest team in the game; giving you nothing but the spiciest takes on the pitch.
After a topsy turvy, COVID-riddled, excruciating but entertaining season, all of the European domestic club campaigns have drawn to a close. Champions were crowned, relegation for some were either dodged or confirmed and the latest candidates to qualify for next term's continental competitions were finalised. El Capitan Neal, Adam, Ama, Jonathan, and Joseph all take their respective seats in The Pub to discuss it all; from the Premier League to Ligue 1. The lads cover it all and then some, including having each of The Pub denizens make a position-by-position nomination for The Banter Pub FC's 2020/21 European XI.
So pull up, press play, and get down with the get down.
The Pub Awaits...

Episode 55: Your D*ck Is Too Little To F*ck With A Goddess
It's so hard being The World's Greatest Podcast™©® but dammit... someone's gotta do it and it might as well be us, The World's Greatest [goddamn] Podcast™©®: WHO ELSE but the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch?! The Banter Pub FC, ya bish!
The BPFC Time Capsule has unsealed a while ago but we're dumping the whole lot out and in this episode (recorded 24 June 2021), El Capitan Neal, Ama, Adam, Jonathan, Rosler and Joseph settling into The Pub and wasting no time whatsoever. Opening with the Main Segment this week, the lads discuss the US Women's National Team's (USWNT) Olympic side selection and folks? These... were some choices, to put it extremely mildly. Yer bois don't hold back, as per usual. Tune in to hear them cover everything from the selections themselves to the reactions to said call-ups.
Our heroes then get into a different international competition: EURO 2020. Our heroes unpack the EURO 2020 group stage results (namely, Italy's dominant performances after a shaky start and full credit to Jonathan for predicting Italy's results succinctly) and how football is not coming home before discussing Denmark's Christian Eriksen and his terrifying, gut-wrenching moment where he collapsed on the pitch during the match. The Pub switches gears to Copa America and the results in that tournament as well as a quick CONCACAF aside regarding the Haitian men's national team and a particularly unfortunate event during one of their matches in an intense edition of Around The Pitch. BPFC wraps with Ama's brainchild Extra Time, where Ama in particular reflects on Juneteenth 2021 and everyone else weighs in to talk about what was on their minds and what moved them that week.
#BingeTheBanter like your favourite web series. It's The Banter Pub FC: Ya heard of us. Official football nurturers. The pod comes equipped for warfare. Beware.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 54: CONCACAF & Crucial Conversation
Just when you thought you had it figured out, The World's Greatest Podcast™©® changes the culture, word to CM Punk.
Yes, the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch are back again to dump the entire contents of the BPFC Time Capsule, starting with a very unique episode featuring a very unique rendition of the Main Segment.
This episode (recorded 10 June 2021) sees El Capitan Neal, Ama, Adam, and Jonathan piling into The Pub to discuss the calamitous yet gripping CONCACAF Nations League final between the US Men's National Team (USMNT) and El Tri (Mexico's men's national team) and all of its moving parts. From the result itself, the homophobic chanting from El Tri fans, the anti-Black racism from USMNT fans exhibited toward Mark McKenzie, the aftermath of it all, and addressing the comments (or lack thereof) made by certain pundits, yer bois go cover every nook and cranny in a fiery edition of Around The Pitch.
Now, the Main Segment usually sees our heroes covering a particular topic exclusively but this episode goes in a unique direction. Joseph managed to get some one-on-one time with Alexi Lalas in his Twitter Spaces vignette and what transpired was rather unexpected but riveting all the same, if we do say so ourselves. Once the pleasantries were exchanged, Joseph got right down to business and grilled Alexi on why he had everything to say about the homophobia from El Tri fans but next to nothing about the anti-Black abuse doled out by USMNT fans. It is a call-out and a critical conversation you do not want to miss so get listening before Alexi makes us take it down (we presume he'll make us take it down, anyway).
You're welcome, Alexi. *wink wink*
#BingeTheBanter. There's plenty to chew on.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 53: Talk Di Ting A Lings
*rummages around inside the BPFC Time Capsule*
By Jove, it's another full episode of The World's Greatest Podcast™©®; brought to you by the sauciest team in the game with undoubtedly the spiciest takes on the pitch. Judging by the contents of this episode? This one might as well be marinaded in ghost chilli sauce because hoo boy! That's a spicy meat-a-ball!
This episode (recorded 3 June 2021) sees El Capitan Neal, Ama, Adam, Jonathan, and Joseph sliding into The Pub to discuss Manchester City bottling it in the UEFA Champions League final against Chelsea; the European football manager carousel which includes (but isn't limited to) Antonio Conte's departure from Inter Milan, Carlo Ancelotti moving back to Real Madrid, Massimiliano Allegri returning to Juventus, and more; the Major League Soccer, United Soccer League, and National Women's Soccer League tables in a fiery edition of Around The Pitch.
The Main Segment sees the boys previewing how they thought UEFA EURO 2020 was going to go down. They each make their picks (most of them were horribly wrong except for Jonathan), discussing which teams will surprise and which teams will disappoint. It's a wild ride, we have to say. Kicking off Extra Time, everyone weighs in on the announcement of Major League Soccer's creation of an artificial promotion/relegation system and what implications that it will have on the United States football pyramid going forward. To conclude, the mandem each take some time (some going longer than the allotted 30 seconds, we'll grant you... but we've paid the costs to be the bosses) to talk about what was on their minds that week.
#BingeTheBanter rolls on as we get two more episodes and a Set Piece ready for that ass. Act like you know.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 52: You Had One Job!
We told you we'd have plenty of recordings in the BPFC Time Capsule to unleash. #BingeTheBanter, baby. You know the fucking vibes. We're no Adam Cole but we're confident even he'd agree that The Banter Pub FC is The World's Greatest Podcast™©®, bay bay.
This episode (recorded 27 May 2021) features El Capitan Neal, Ama, Adam, Jonathan, and Joseph sliding into The Pub to chat about how Leicester City had one job and failed to do it as the Premier League concluded; Napoli fumbling the bag and more as Serie A drew to a close; Lille doing the damn thing and finishing as champions in Ligue 1, and Club Atlético de Madrid finally sealing the deal, getting their name etched on the La Liga title in a showstopping edition of Around The Pitch.
The Main Segment covers a couple of US domestic league-based incidents, including but not limited to: the rash of beer chucking incidents at both DC United and Chicago Fire matches (and in DC United's case: the slew of shitty statements from SGs affiliated with the club not named Rose Room Collective) and the blatant disrespecting of the Washington Spirit (where the Spirit had to play their opening home fixture in Houston against the Dash). It's not all bullshit though, as there was a healthy discussion about how the table looks in Major League Soccer; namely praise being lavished on Orlando City SC's form at the time. The discussion around US domestic league-based foolishness continues into Extra Time, where racism once again rears its ugly, unwanted head during a USL Championship match between Loudon United FC and New York Red Bulls II. Mandela Egbo was subjected to racist abuse via monkey chanting from Loudon United FC supporters while he was taking a penalty kick (which he converted). The lads unpack everything from the moment itself to the utterly pathetic statement put out by Loudon Stampede in response.
This episode was a blast to record but then again, that's usually the case when you're rockin' with the sauciest team in the game. That's what you should expect from the mandem with the spiciest takes on the pitch. #BingeTheBanter rolls on as we get three more episodes and a Set Piece loaded into the chamber. Past, present, forever.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 51: 4-3-3 The Hard Way
Did you miss us? Well... whether you did or not, THE BANTER PUB FC IS BACK YA BISH.
It's been a little bit and we shouldn't have left you without some dope episodes to step to so The World's Greatest Podcast is back at it with a full clip to dump out the roof! After all, we do have a spectacular sophomore season to conclude and we plan on doing that with great panache. What better way to start than to open up the BPFC Time Capsule and see what's inside!
"What the everlasting fuck is a BPFC Time Capsule," you ask? Excellent question! Here's what happened: while we stuck to our regular recording schedule, our production team had some life happenings that required more time adulting than editing. Now that our production team are back in the studio, we have four full episodes and a Set Piece for your listening pleasure and we'll be releasing each one successfully over the coming days! Pretty cool, right? You get caught up with us, we get to entertain you for hours on end... a win-win situation, really.
With that said, let's get the first round in. This episode (recorded 13 May 2021) features El Capitan Neal, Adam, Jonathan, and Joseph piling into The Pub to chat about the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, and La Liga campaigns all drawing to a close. The boys discuss how they each see things concluding in terms of league positions and who qualifies for continental competition etcetera in an engrossing edition of Around The Pitch. The Main Segment features Neal, Adam, and Joseph discussing a couple of Major League Soccer-based shenanigans, namely: FC Cincinnati's signing of MAGA meathead Geoff Cameron and the Wilf Family's purchase of Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride, Orlando City Academy, and the Exploria Stadium. The lads also touch on the record TV deal brokered between ESPN and La Liga, each giving their take on what the deal means for fans based in the United States. The episode concludes with Extra Time where Adam, Joseph, and Neal all take thirty seconds or so to get some things off their respective chests.
Make sure you get some food in along with whatever you're sipping on. You're going to want to be as comfortable as possible while you #BingeTheBanter.
Still the sauciest team in the game with the spiciest takes on the pitch. The Pub Awaits.

Set Piece: An Audience with a Legend (Special Guest: CJ Brown)
Yer bois at The Banter Pub FC have reached another milestone: we got our first interview with a professional in The Beautiful Game! This is not a drill. This is real life.
Entering The Pub to have a chat with Ama, Neil, Adam, Jonathan, and Joseph is a Chicago Fire Original with 13 United States Men's National Team (USMNT) caps, with four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cups, three Major League Soccer (MLS) Western Conference titles, an MLS Supporters' Shield, and an MLS Cup to his name. He is a three-time Chicago Fire Humanitarian of the Year, a two-time Chicago Fire Defender of the Year, and is currently the technical director and head coach of Chicago House AC in the National Independent Soccer Association. Ladies, gentlemen, and enbies... he is the one and only CJ Brown!
Over the course of an hour and change, CJ chats to us about his time as a professional player (what he's experienced, what he's learned, what his favourite memories are), what he thinks about promotion/relegation (pro/rel) being implemented in the United States football pyramid, his take on the current crop of USMNT players, and much more. Our time with CJ was not just education about what it means to be a professional football player in the United States but a refreshingly candid conversation with plenty of laughs to boot.
This one's super special, peeps. You do not want to miss out on this outstanding chat we had. Big thank you to CJ and Chicago House AC and we hope to catch up with CJ again in the future. Truly, it was an honour, privilege, and pleasure to have him on.
So what are you waiting for? Stop reading this. Press play. Get all of your life.

Episode 50: Cartels Not Clubs
It's here. We've done it. We've arrived. In just over a year, we've put out fifty - count 'em... FIFTY - episodes of The Banter Pub FC and this episode goes H.A.M. if we're keeping it a buck.
In this week's milestone appearance, El Capitan Neal, Adam, Ama, Jonathan, and Joseph tuck into the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, MLS, Ligue 1, and the CONCACAF Champions League (as the aforementioned competitions stood at the time of recording) in a punchy rendition of Around The Pitch, bringing all the unique bombast and hot takes you've come to expect from the boys behind the bar. In the Main Segment, the lads take aim at the NWSL's Independent Anti-Discrimination Investigation result before segueing into how they see the Europa and Champions League finals playing out. Wrapping up with a rousing edition of Extra Time this week, Rosler shares a couple of thoughts but does he finally announce his allegiance to a football club in the Premier League? You'll have to listen to find out, of course. 😉
It has been our absolute pleasure and nothing short of a privilege to have brought you fifty episodes thus far but please believe that there's plenty more in the tank. We can't wait to join you for our centennial appearance and remember: The Banter Pub FC is the spiciest team in the game, bringing you nothing short of the spiciest takes on the pitch. FC Chimney, baby. We want the smoke.
Brought to you by six of the realest in the game. The Pub Awaits.

Episode 49: Super Headass
Un. Uno. Eins. Een. Bir. Wahid. Otu. Moja. Eyodwa. One.
One more episode until our vaunted 50th appearance for The Banter Pub FC and this episode is probably the one that gets us sued, to tell you the truth. Seriously, there were no punches pulled and it was no holds barred from El Capitan Neal, Adam, Jonathan, and Joseph this week. The lads dig into the entire European Super League fiasco. Virtually every stone was overturned in this episode, recalling everything from the initial reaction to the announcement of the Super League's so-called 'founding clubs' to a critical discussion about what this latest attempt to further commodify the beautiful game means for supporters and players going forward.
The fellas get everything off their chests and out in the open here, including a conversation that supplements Jonathan's must-read essay linking the crisis of capitalism to the manifestation of the Super League. No owner, club, or corrupt official were spared in the recording of this episode. Neither were the bootlickers who supported the idea. You get what we're trying to say here, right? All the discretion advised here. Feelings will be hurt, laughs will be had, tears will be shed, mountains will crumble, seas will roar... this episode is a journey.
So press play and brace yourself for a thorough unpacking of the European Super League controversy. Brought to you by six of the realest in the game.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 48: My Henny Runneth Over
The countdown is at two. Two more episodes until vaunted 50th appearance for The Banter Pub FC and it's our first special guest appearance for a full episode this season! Nothing but prestigious guests during our sophomore season at The Pub.
This week, the squad (Adam, Neal, Ama, Jonathan, and Joseph) are joined by the co-creator of the Henny Derby, Richmond Kickers super-supporter, and the host of Can I Kick It? Podcast Elliot Barr (AKA: Yogi Mclovin) to chat about the results from the Premier League (Leeds United's stunning win over Manchester City), checking in on La Liga (El Classico result shakes up the table), CONCACAF Champions League, UEFA Men's Champions & Europa League matches, and previewing the start of USL's Championship and Leauge One seasons in a truly transatlantic edition of Around The Pitch. For the Main Segment this week, the boys discuss the fallout from the NWSL Challenge Cup drama where injustices were doled out to Kansas City NWSL's Kristen Edmonds and Chicago Red Stars' Sarah Gordon respectively and the spectre of anti-Blackness hovered over both incidents before going into how the Henny Derby was established and what anyone can expect in terms of the atmosphere at one of these legendary matches.
Finally, in Extra Time, the lads chat more with big man like Elliot; having a memorable chin-wag over a slew of topics.
The World's Greatest Podcast. Bar none. Act like you know.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 47: How Tight Is It?
Three. Three is the magic number. Three more episodes until vaunted 50th appearance for The Banter Pub FC. Until then, we've got work to do so let's keep this unbeaten run in our sophomore season rolling!
This week, the squad (Neil, Ama, Jonathan, and Adam) chat about the results from the Premier League, checking in on La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and chatting about some of the UEFA Men's Champions & Europa League matches in a proper European continental edition of Around The Pitch. For the Main Segment this week, the boys discuss Mouctar Diakhaby's tremendously sad but extremely important video about his being racially abused (allegedly by Cadiz player Juan Cala) when Valencia and Cadiz did battle. The lads touch on everything from the incident to the various responses, including Valencia's decision to walk off the pitch and their being asked to come back if Cala apologised.
Finally, in Extra Time, the lads take thirty seconds to chat about who they believe will hoist the NWSL Challenge Cup this season all while giving deserved props to the Orlando Pride for being inarguably the drippiest side in NWSL right now.
The World's Greatest Podcast will make ya stop, drop; at which point, we go in to shut 'em down open up shop, word to DMX. Episodes like whoa, word to Black Rob. Come through.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 46: Anyị chọrọ anwụrụ ọkụ
Four more episodes enbies, ladies, and germs. Can you feel it? Can you feel the excitement? The mandem are back for another full episode as The Banter Pub FC's sophomore season keeps on truckin', full steam ahead!
This week, the squad (Neil, Ama, Jonathan, Adam, and Joseph) chat about the results from AFCON Men's Qualifying, checking in on the UEFA Women's Champions League, and chatting about some of the UEFA Men's World Cup Qualifying matches in a global edition of Around The Pitch. For the Main Segment this week, the boys dig into Heiko Vogel and the German courts' ass in the wake of the Borussia Monchengladbach's under-23 coach being ordered to train the women's team as a form of punishment for his "unsporting behaviour" (or, more succinctly, his misogynistic comments about women in football).
Finally, in Extra Time, the lads take thirty seconds to chat about what they're looking forward to where the MLS is concerned before it gets underway.
We want the smoke, word to The Street Profits. Press play, get your life.
The Pub Awaits.

Set Piece - An Audience with The Empress (Special Guest: Kelechi Okafor)
This week's Set Piece is beyond special. It's a massive occasion. Kelechi Okafor - AKA Kelechnekoff - the tour-de-force actress and social commentator that brings you Say Your Mind every week as well as teaching the people how to work the poles and how to twerk properly from her dance studio Kelechnekoff Fitness joins us for a wonderful interview and discussion.
Neil, Ama, and Joseph sit down with The Empress herself to talk about her favourite club (Arsenal), her favourite player (Thierry Henry), her favourite manager (Arsene Wenger), her favourite F1 driver in Lewis Hamilton, and Slavia Prague player Ondrej Kudela's racial abuse of Rangers' Glen Kamara before digging into what that means for Arsenal in the Europa League quarterfinal as well as football writ large. We also discuss Thierry Henry's decision to leave all forms of social media until racism is dealt with adequately by the people that administrate social media platforms. Finally, we dig into the British monarchy's racist skeletons falling out of the closet [again] and what that means seeing as William is President of the FA before wrapping up discussing the recent slew of men's football players repatriating themselves to Nigeria and Jamaica respectfully.
This was a total and utter honour and privilege for us at The Banter Pub! A massive thank you to Kelechi for joining us in this week's Set Piece. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed chatting with Benz Punani Womanist.

Set Piece: British GQ Done F*cked Up!

In this week's Set Piece, we focus on the NWSL player salaries and the lack of collective bargaining agreement for the players association. Ama, Neal, Joseph, Jonathan, and Adam are all on tap to give their thoughts on the salaries themselves, how this factors into the discussion about the wage gap between women and men's football, and what the federation's (read: US Soccer) role in all this was.
As per usual, there is no nonsense so get into these new segments from your faves at The Banter Pub FC!

Episode 43: Seth Jahn & The US Soccer Federation Don't Care About Black Lives
Seven episodes until the vaunted 50th appearance for your boys at The Banter Pub FC, still the World's Greatest Podcast™©®. Still the sauciest team in the game coming upside your head with the spiciest takes on the pitch. Still killing the game as the sophomore season rolls on!
This week, Jonathan hosts for the first time! With Neil, Adam, Ama, and Joseph on deck, the lads tuck touch on all of the latest goings-on with Ligue 1; the Serie A title race; the La Liga title picture; an update on the biggest soap opera of a club in the world in Barcelona; and how far Dortmund have fallen as the Bundesliga prepares to enter the final furlong of the latest campaign in a blistering edition of Around The Pitch. For the Main Segment this week, Neil, Jonathan, Adam, and Ama take Seth Jahn to task over his disgusting six-minute diatribe during the federation's annual general meeting and don't hold back in tearing everyone from Seth to the USSF to US Soccer as an organisation to utter shreds. Extra Time returns this week, giving the lads a moment to close by sharing what moved them, inspired them et al; drawing the episode to a close. You already know what it is. Come get some.
The Pub Awaits.

Episode 42: A Reggae Boyz Homecoming
The World's Greatest Podcast™©® keeps pushing onward; eight episodes away from 50 appearances with plenty left in the tank!
This week, Neal, Ama, Adam, Jonathan, and Joseph are on tap to rap about subjects like the Milanese Derby and how the the Watchalong at The Pub went; whether not Jose Mourinho's time is up; Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel subbing Calum Hudson-Odoi twice in the same match; reflecting on the USWNT reportedly being forced to stand during the national anthem of the She Believes Cup; and BMS (AKA: B*tch-Made Swede) talking way out of the side of his neck about LeBron James in a no-holds-barred edition of Around The Pitch.
The lads switch gears to the Main Segment, where this week, the boys discuss Michail Anthonio (amongst others) switching his allegiance from England to Jamaica.
Finally, Adam talks more about the next Watchalong at The Pub to bring another brilliant episode to a close.
Let's be f*ckin' 'avin you. The Pub awaits.

Be advised: there is a trigger warning as Baxter's comments are regarding sexual assault and rape (You can skip this section entirely if you prefer. The main segment starts at around 59:30. Extra Time starts at around 1h19m). Finally, TBPFC wraps with a different spin to Extra Time; in which everyone has to choose the winner of the latest Champions League and Europa League matches in rapid-fire succession.

The lads also discuss the January Transfer Window in the main segment, particularly from a La Liga perspective as quite a few major names made the move during the window. Finally, TBPFC wraps with a different spin to Extra Time; in which everyone gets thirty seconds or so to recap their thoughts about Benito Mussolini's great-grandson playing for Lazio's youth team.
