In this episode of the Second Success Podcast, Dr Rakish Rana talks with entrepreneur and brand specialist, Saisha Singh.
Saisha is a highly motivated and self-driven entrepreneur commended for her values of discipline, integrity and passion and has enthusiastically immersed herself in the launch and development of several brands in the spirits category. Having grown up within a family background in the wines & spirits industry, she has always been inspired by the finer details of each product and this has led her to become fully immersed in this industry that she thrives in.
In 2014, Saisha embarked on a Masters degree programme at Warwick University with the intention to grow and develop, both personally and professionally. In what turned out to be a fulfilling curriculum, she discovered her love for brands and was particularly interested in further exploring the dynamics behind brand growth and success. With further thought and reflection as to where her unique ideas and creativity could be cultured, she undertook her thesis on the subject of how brand extensions can be successfully created. On the back of finding out that “84% of brand extensions fail,” she focused on developing a new brand extension framework as guidance and support to encourage companies to work as an integrated system. In doing so, this would promote interconnectedness between functions to promote the flow of knowledge and in turn, enhance processes and activities. An outcome that could realistically be expected would be a reduction in extension failure, accomplish sustainable success and journey towards organisational excellence.
This opportunity cut a clear path for Saisha to integrate her knowledge in her family business.
As a seeker of knowledge, Saisha has been driven by her inspiration and passion to explore and understand the nature and dynamic shifts within the Drinks Industry.
This commenced with the launch of an award-winning brand, Laplandia Vodka in the UK. Along with this launch, she was a key contributor in taking the brand to 21 different countries.

Sebastien Nicolleau, originally from Bourdeaux in the south west of France, arrived in the UK in 1999. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Bath in 2001. He then spent 13 years working for large corporations, Nasdaq and CAC 40 companies, mainly in international strategy development and markets launch.
He always knew he wanted to own his business, and when life took an unexpected turn, it also gave him the opportunity to pursue that path.
For the past 10 years, Sebastien has been actively involved in property investment across Europe. During which time he developed an extensive knowledge base and expertise of the UK, French, Spanish and Portuguese property markets.
Through first-hand experience as a property investor, he realised that the current process for finding and acquiring property was unfit for purpose. He found it to be a complex, frustrating and time-consuming journey which could be challenging, even for the most experienced buyer. Sebastien wanted to address these challenges and develop a professional service, tailored exclusively to the buyer’s needs and founded Galleon in 2014.
His vision is simple: to change the Real Estate industry; remove the challenges and pitfalls when acquiring a property, and for buying agents to become the first point of contact for anyone looking to acquire a property.

Chris Desai, founder of Vayyu and The Vayyu Foundation was born in Leicester to an English Ballerina Mother and a Political Refugee Indian Father. He grew up in a multicultural working class environment, being exposed to Eastern and Western cultures both at home and abroad.
Chris’ fascination of the natural world and exploration allowed him to quickly excel at activities like hiking, flying, sailing and more recently diving. His creative talents also developed in his early years to include literature, poetry and singing which was nurtured by his mother.
Through the amalgamation of these interests and culture, he continued recording music and writing and found himself signed to a music label in London by the age of 21. Shortly after this music career began he also entered the clothing world and he developed a love for high fashion and textile design.
After a highly successful stint in the music and fashion industry, he returned to his first love which was nature which allowed him to create an organic sustainable and ethical fashion apparel brand; Vayyu which was awarded the second most ethical brand in the United Kingdom and established a registered environmental charity called The Vayyu Foundation which now has projects in over 21 countries.

However, tough times hit again and soon Nathan saw himself as a broke and homeless guy on the streets in the city. Overcoming all these tough days, Nathan started again and this time with more consciousness and awareness and learning from his mistakes.
