THE MOVEMENT (vv. 1-3)(v. 3)

Good news: They talked as they walked. They didn’t talk as they waited.

Your problem can be too big for you to move, but it shouldn’t be too big to stop you from moving.

THE MIRACLE (v. 4)

Good news: It was too big for them. It wasn’t too big for Him.

Sometimes until we walk it out, we won’t see that He’s already worked it out!

THE MISSION (vv. 5-8)

Good news: The stone was gone, but the better news was that Jesus was gone!

Anytime that you find yourself down, remember that He’s not!

When you find yourself suspicious of God, it’s time to start being suspicious of yourself and your interpretive biases and hermeneutical approach. God is not the problem. You are!

The only way to fulfill a vow, “…til death do us part.” is to die daily in your home.

Seed/Sire (vv. 20, 21)

It’s bad when Dad is a dream killer rather than a dream developer.

“Christians, act so differently in your relationships that the world will know that something has happened to you!”

I'm All the way up | Easter Sunday (Supreme). Easter Sunday we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and continued our study through Colossians. Jesus Has Authority Over Death | In Control

When signs of death emerge:

Tell Him. (vv. 21-23) 

We must stop calling platitudes prayers!

Trek with Him. (v. 24)

Do you need God to do it your way for you to stay? 

With God, interruption doesn’t denote completion! 

Trust Him. (vv. 35-43)

Trusting God often means fact thinking must take a backseat to faith thinking!

Jesus Has Authority Over Your Storms | In Control (9 YEAR ANNIVERSARY)  We are in week one of our new 4 week sermon series "In Control". Good news: We don’t have to be what we’re not called to be! God doesn’t expect what He hasn’t endowed.

View your identity through the eyes of SERVICE. (vv. 22, 23) 

For the Christian, our mission and our moniker are inextricably intertwined. 

Prayer: “God how can I function on a daily basis to get people to turn to You?”

What Does the Other Six Days Mean? | Whatcha Gonna Do Day 2023 

Our First service of 2023 was kicked off with the first annual service celebrating "Whatcha Gonna Do the Other Six Days". The Other Six Days comes from the passage in Matthew 25 that can be referred to as the parable of the goats and sheep. This scripture is deeply embedded within The Factory Church's ministry, culture and our why. We are passionate about discipleship and serving those in need in our community, our nation and around the world. We believe the church should not just be about Sundays, but the other six days. We are a church that's all about making disciples and serving others, the other six days. In this service we not only answer questions about what "walking out the other six days means" but also, hearing real examples from everyday people like you and I walking in this obedience everyday. 

We open with an introduction from our hosts Chase Peterson and Darah Barnes leading into a story about what the other six days means to them and a reading of Matthew 25. 

Matthew 25: 31-46 31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the [c]holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ ....... 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” 

James 2:14-26 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works................ 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only...... 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also

Christmas Isn’t Just About Incarnation; It’s Also About Submission. We wrapped up our Christmas sermon series called "Submitted" on Christmas eve.

The ADVENT of Jesus 

- God can use the worst in people to bring out the best in you when you submit. 

- Submission often necessitates, rather than mitigates, pain. 

The ADOLESCENCE of Jesus

- Don’t get in front of Jesus even when you think you know what you’re doing. Whenever you get in front of Jesus and lose Him turn around!  

- When you submit to the people God has placed in your life, even though they don’t understand your purpose, He can use them to fulfill your purpose.

The AGONY of Jesus 

- John 10:17-18

- If your brand of Christianity comes bereft of the cross, you know not true Christianity. 

Homework: Have you taken up your own cross as a submitted disciple?

Jesus was a First-Time Guest | Submitted   Week 3 of our Christmas series "Submitted" continued this week with PK teaching from Luke 2:22-38. Homework: Ask God if there are any aspects of your life that are not submitted and need to be cut. He who is God gets the Worship! - Jesus is God. We kicked off a new series called Jesus is God this Sunday. The sermon series stems from a conversation Pastor Keith had with a taxi driver named abdhul. Week 1 of the series is taught from Revelation 4 & 5.    Sermon points  -- He who gets the throne gets the worship --   The Potentate that's necessary for worship (vv 2-5) To accomplish Biblical worship we must resolve, "Is God royalty and we regular, or are we royalty and He regular?"  The Peculiarity that's necessary for worship (vv 6-8) Worship isn't about how one looks but to whom one looks.   The Position that's necessary for worship (vv 9,10) Worship of God requires our knowing His place and subsequently knowing and assuming ours.   The Pitch that's necessary for worship (vv 10) Are your hands too filled to be lifted?   The Proclamation that's necessary for worship (vv 11) In worship your mouth matters!   - Jesus' wounds don't revoke His worthiness to be worshiped!  - He who is God gets the worship!   Homework: Is Jesus God to you?
