Pete is joined by Aaron Richards to unpack what it means to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and why it's vitally important in the life of a disciple. They share stories of God's power being released in their lives and highlight the essential role of charisms in mission. John Burns joined us for the 5-Day Still Small Voice Challenge, back at the beginning of February, and we had to share his conversation with Pete. For the first time, The Hour has no guest, just Pete. In an effort to help us prepare for Christmas, Pete revisits The Way of the Heart by Henri Nouwen to focus on the difficult but non-negotiable need for solitude. Pete ties this solitude to compassion and drops an incredible quote from Pope Francis on reaching out and touching the suffering flesh of Christ in others. Our world needs more compassion and Nouwen makes it clear that this ability to 'suffer with' is born from time alone with God.
