Life as a Serial Entrepreneur The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
It's no secret that toxic workplace cultures have created an evolution of individuals seeking to start their own businesses. According to the Census Bureau’s Business Formation Statistics, there is a surge in new business formations that has been steadily increasing well above historical norms. Why Anthony Mays Quit His Job At Google
From Compton to Google, Anthony will be sharing with us why he decided to leave his job at Google.
Anthony is the owner of Morgan Latimer Consulting and a former software engineer at Google. Raised in Compton as a foster kid after suffering physical and sexual abuse, he taught himself how to program computers at age 8 and started his career as an INROADS intern.
Perhaps best known for the short BuzzFeed documentary about his journey from Compton to Google, he is a frequent public speaker at schools and other student organizations. He was awarded the 2016 INROADS Trendsetter Award for his work promoting diversity in tech.
Anthony graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. His GPA was horrible, so don’t ask.
