Marriage is NOT Designed for Your Happiness...
In this episode, Cassidy and Daniela get into a very counterintuitive subject--the PURPOSE of marriage. Don't be too quick to write this episode off! We guarantee you, there's more to the title than meets the eye. Our culture inundates us with all types of mantras and mottos, among which are the phrases "find the person that makes YOU happy" or "follow your heart". Though these slogans may sound good, they aren't entirely true. They lack a lot of depth. The Bible delineates the fact that as the Body of Christ, believers are created for a purpose, and the marriage relationship is a pattern of that purpose.

In this discussion, they talk about the profound meaning behind and origins of the word Narcissism. They shed some biblical insights and guiding principles on how to navigate and make some very life altering and/or definitive decisions when married to a narcissist; do you stay and work on the marriage? Is it time to leave? There is no black or white answer. There are many variables to consider, such as whether there are small children in the equation and whether they are being negatively impacted by the narcissist. Is there physical abuse involved? Is the person willing to get counselling?
Furthermore, they share some important tips for those who have reached the decision to exit the marriage and are on their healing journey.

I'm Married to a Narcissist...What Now?
In this discussion, they break down the typical traits of a narcissist, identify the two general types of narcissism, and the main causes of NPD. The objective of this dialogue, is to examine and filter this disorder through a Biblical lens and offer hope and solutions for moving forward if you find yourself in a marriage with a narcissist. They are firm believers in that with God ANYTHING is possible--even recovery from narcissism; however, they maintain the balanced view that not all cases will result in success. Given the fact that in the very nature of a narcissist, there lacks the ability to acknowledge they have a problem, getting the person to break out of their denial can prove very daunting and challenging--but NOT impossible. Join the dialogue, as we share some simple strategies to bring light on this subject and start the process of exposing the issue, healing and moving forward.

Are You Guarding Your Kids' Minds?
Have you noticed the acceleration of Witch Craft/magic and selling one’s soul to the devil in children’s programs? Have you discerned the increase in sexualization and violence lately? I mean, Disney has been doing this covertly from its inception, but now, it's no longer hidden and it’s ubiquitous. The battle for our kid's minds is real. In this episode, Cassidy and Daniela discuss how important it is that as parents, we protect the little minds of our children. The world is such a dark place and more than ever, Satan is contending for their minds. We can't necessarily shield them from everything, nor is it possible to constantly micro manage their lives...but we have a responsibility to guide and guard them as they navigate this new world. Not only are they our greatest God given responsibility; they are our greatest investment.
Strong parenting produces strong marriages! The couple shares some practical ways they deal with these issues in their own home.

Are You Married to Your Ministry?
In this episode, Cassidy and Daniela pose the question, "are you married to your ministry?" As always, this couple doesn't shy away from controversial subjects--so let's dig in! Someone's gotta talk about it, right?
This discussion spurs from the common, yet false ideology that working in "ministry" is justifiably priority above the marriage relationship. The couple dispels this notion using biblical scripture and patterns that clearly delineate a different picture and demonstrate how and why marriage is of greatest priority above all ministry work and other relationships--apart from your relationship with Jesus Christ, of course. They expose and identify red flags that perhaps knowingly or unknowingly signify that you or your spouse may be guilty of committing this dangerous error--and talk about how to fix it!

Why Home Church Is Making A Come Back
This episode answers the question as to why the home church or house church is making a come back in this period in time. Cassidy and Daniela explain the reasons for why they believe this, such as: a polarization of ideologies concerning the pandemic, eschatology, social justice issues, etc; people feel trapped in a system that is progressing an agenda leading to a one world government; people feel the urge to meet with like-minded believers and to be set-apart; people are tired of "same old same old" and many other reasons. They talk about what home church is not, versus how the home church is intended to function. They share some research data that corroborates with the notion that home church is on the rise, that points to the over-arching reason being stronger intimacy and connection among believers. Please see the article below written in Christian Headlines, entitled: Barna: House Churches on the Rise, but 'Not for Everybody'.

Discipleship and the Family
In this episode, Cassidy and Daniela discuss the importance of establishing discipleship within the home as opposed to leaving it all to your pastor and spiritual leaders. Some of these myths include: Homeschooled children't aren't socialized; They are shielded from the "real world"; They aren't as educated, intelligent or can't go to college: You have to be wealthy to homeschool; Homeschooled kids are "weird"; Homeschooling is a cover-up for child abuse. They share a counter-argument to each of the points above and also share some of their own personal experiences with the institutionalized educational system.
