To our Ruckus fans…
We are heartbroken, talking about our brother in the past tense four months later seems surreal. The investigation is being conducted by Rio de Janeiro police. There are details being uncovered regularly and we do not want to hinder the work of the detectives involved, so we ask y’all to pay attention to this case. We hope that his killers are brought to justice soon.
Please continue to support The Ruckus Podcast, it is a labor of love and we intend to keep his name and spirit alive, even when he would roast KC or say that he hated all of us so much for giving him shit about his corny dad jokes. Brutus lives on!

Russell Westskirt?
Times are changing, and it seems the Ruckus cast is changin with it. Or are they? On this episode, The Ruckus explores the "new trend" of men wearing skirts, what it means for our society and how it can affect our kids. Spoiler: It doesn't affect your kids at all if dad wears a skirt.
This episode is part of our ongoing discussion on society and men's roles in that society. But, don't worry Ruckunites, we still bring the heat to this conversation with the laughs and bullshit you've come to be love. Cause that's the only way we know how to do it.
So strap on, put your favorite falda on, and check out the Ruckus.

You ready for some laughs that will have you question your morals? On this episode the crew talks Haiti, reflects on the legacy of Allen Iverson and discusses the difficulties of Black and Brown folks finally "making it". And we do it the only way we know how, by making jokes about it. You ready? Then strap on those headphones and get ready for another episode of the MF**ing Ruckus.

The Interview - Gilda
Though you've come to know the Ruckus for the madness we do pride ourselves with providing our listeners with useful information on serious topics. And, unless you've been under a rock for the last few weeks, you've probably heard about massive uprisings going on in Cuba and in the United States as Cubans and Cuban Americans protest the oppressive Cuban regime. We've commented minimally on the subject, partly cause we don't know what we are talking about. So, we were excited when Cuban political immigrant, Gilda, dropped by the show to share her experience as a political exile. She dropped knowledge on the Cuban revolution, her feelings towards the recent protests and shares her vision for Cuba's future. The audio is a bit rough, and we apologize for, but if you can get over that technical glitch you'll be inspired.

You wanna be the bully? - Episode 30
The crew is back to their usual antics, and you know what that means: wild stories and even wilder reactions. On this episode, Brutus recounts a recent visit to the US Embassy, and asks the crew if they really do "hate" the United States considering some of the benefits of being an American. Also, the crew give you all unwarranted opinions on recent topics in the news, plus Cloud 9 gives us some barbershop etiquette, while we all make fun of Dr. Kraken's Spanish skills. This episode is not for the light hearted. But you know how we do.

The Interview - Keamo
Though the Ruckus is known for a lot of bullshit, and madness, every now and then we try to bring people onto the pod that actually know what the fuck they are talking about. So, on this episode, we put the bullshit aside while the homie Keamo dropped gems on everything from tech to NFTs and the world of digital marketing. It was great. We didn't understand it all, which made it all the more necessary to pick the homies brain. As the world goes full blown digital we have to be able to function in this digitial "new" world.
Sit back, plug in and check out the Ruckus. It's Organized Chaos.

Nueva Yol - Episode 29
The cast hits the rewind button and get personal as they explore the classic Dominican film, "Nueva Yol". Released in 1995, the film stars Luísito Martí, as Balbuena, a Dominican immigrant to the United States looking for his piece of the American dream. However, Balbuena faces innumerous difficulties as he transitions to his new like in New York City, and quickly regrets his decision to move to the Big Apple. An important film for Dominican Americans, “Nueva Yol,” became a cult classic at the time of its release, and interest in the film surged months back after the release of the cultural flop “In the Heights”.

This shit's gotta be heard to be believed.
All you "I no Bla..." Dominicans, get ready.
The Ruckus crew put their thinking caps on for this one, and picked apart what has been a lightining rod of a film. From the musical score and costumes, to the conversation on race, colorism and racism that defines both the movie and its creation process, the Ruckus crew manages to somehow, not only not fuck this one up, but also give y'all something that's actually worth listening to.

And here were are, ladies and gentlemen. Our Rolling Stones Top 10 Albums of All Time series has come to an end. On this episode, we review albums from the Beach Boys, "Pet Sounds", Joni Mitchell, "Blue", and Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life." Though the three albums received a mixed reception from the crew, the hot takes were amazingly awful this time around. And somehow, Brutus manages to sneak in one of his most craziest conspiracy theories yet. You def want to miss this episode, if you can, and don't pass this along to friends, family or loved ones.

Because what would life be without music? It'd be shitty as fuck, and that's why the crew embarked on what has been the most interesting segment in our podcast's short history.
Instead of just talking music, the crew decided to study music in order to understand what makes an album "classic". To do this, we set out to listen to the top 10 albums on Rolling Stone's list of 500 Best Albums of All-Time.
Though the Rolling Stone's list has its issues, the crew decided it would be good to change gears a little bit, listen to music outside of our comfort zones and try to identify what makes "good music".
On this episode we wade through Lauryn Hill's "The Miseducation...", Prince's "Purple Rain" and Bob Dylan's "Blood on the Tracks."
One of our more "controlled" episodes, our hope is to explore new music, even if it's "old", and create a space where you, our listener, is exposed to music you might not have listened to before.
This bout to be a trip through time, so get them head phones on and dive into the Ruckus.

Joe Budden Accounting Services - Episode 18
Will the real Joe Budden, please stand up? The Derrick Jxn of podcasting has unmasked himself. It has been a wild week in the world of podcasting, and we bout to fill you in on all the talk. As many of you know, Joe Budden decided to show the world who he really was, and his almost clock-like ability to ruin good things has now ended what was, to many, one of the best podcasts out there. From defending artists and content producers, to now becoming the greedy corporation he so vehemently despised, Mr. Budden has given the crew a blueprint on what NOT to do when someone finally starts listening to our show.
We also talk about money literacy, dab into digital currency and plot on how to take over podcasting, now that JBN has fallen.

The Ruckus Poetry Slam ft. daCosta - "Histórias de Minar"
There was probably no better time than the present to have daCosta, one of Brazil's brightest young talents, join us on the podcast. daCosta, an award winning slam poet from the city of Rio de Janeiro, spit fire into the mic and left the crew speechless with his lyrical artistry. His poem, "Histórias de Minar", is a travel through Brazil's turbulent past and present, but his final bar puts the future in check when he proclaims,
"Be warned that literature is also ours.
And if you're going to be talking shit on Facebook
Lock your doors, tightly,
because we are no longer afraid to tell racists to go fuck themselves”
Listen the first time to enjoy the flow. Listen the second time to understand his words. And, listen one final time so his words can move you.
**We've provided a rough translation of his work (IG:@theruckuspodcast), which does no justice to the original. Make sure to follow this young brother: @dacostafricana.

It's your weekly dosage of the Ruckus podcast, and this time the crew pontificates on some really weird shit, like which Disney princess is the cutest, how much is too much masturbation and they even dabble in the age old debate of whether or not pussy, yes pussy, is dangerous. Also, pay attention because KC reveals to men what is the #1 pick up line of all time.
Seriously though, it's getting harder to write these descriptions every week.
Anyways, put them headphones on and get ready for the M**HA F**KING Ruckus.
