Where not to go?
There are a lot of recommended "safe places" and tips on how to be safe when you are solo traveling. But where not to go?
To discuss this, I invited Sina the founder of @indicotravels. Sina has lived in a total of five countries in Europe and South America, she is a huge fan of diving into new cultures and connecting with locals, and she has traveled to nearly all continents by herself. During this episode, we talk about general tips and also what to look for in specific countries.
As we know solo female travel is often associated with unsafe situations. People perceive that women face increased risks of harassment, assault, and other forms of violence while traveling alone, but when we prepare, do the appropriate research, and follow some rules, we can minimize a lot of these risks.

By approaching travel with this mindset, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
To further discuss this topic, I have invited Geleen Antonio, who recently quit her corporate tech career to launch her solo travel empowerment business. Family Travel- Ana Ruiz
I know this podcast is for solo female travelers... Why this episode? Well, this is also a podcast for women and some of my listeners have become moms recently, and that doesn't have to mean that their travels will be on hold for the next 5, 10 or 18 years. As I mentioned in this episode when it comes to travel and any other areas in life kids shouldn't be an obstacle for you to do what you enjoy the most, but actually the reason for you to do MORE of it.
For this episode I invited Ana Ruiz a family travel coach and the creator of Monos Viajeros, a platform to inspire, guide and help families have adventures, even after having kids. Ana shares with us how her family adventures started, benefits and challenges of traveling with your kids, as well as tips on how you can prepare your family and yourself for this travel style.

Where Are the Terrorists? - Angie D'Errico
Angie D'Errico is an Argentinian solo female traveler who has been on the road since 2012. Like many Westerners, Angie grew up with the idea that terrorism and Muslims meant the same, but in September of 2019, she decided to see how much truth there was in those headlines and, without much thought, bought a ticket to Iran.
Angie spent the next sixty-two days traveling through Iran and Kurdistan, but also exploring different aspects of a culture that was completely foreign to her. She had to cover her hair before even getting off the plane, was part of the most important celebration in Shia Islam and was the guest of honor at a Kurdish wedding.
Between spontaneous friendships, dinners spent sitting on rugs, forbidden dances, calls to prayer, and constant threats from the United States, Angie was able to meet the people behind the tabloid news. And then when an old man with tears in his eyes asked her to show the world that their country was not one of terrorists, Angie vowed to make it a personal mission. In this episode we discussed about this experience and much more...

Wherever You Go, There You Are.
In this episode, I share with you a speech I gave last year. There is a quote that says, “wherever you go, there you are.” We can’t escape our feelings. In fact, solo travel often confronts our emotions in ways we wouldn’t expect. But the woman I’ve become and the women I’ve interviewed have found meaning in traveling solo by embracing the ups and downs of the journey. If you’re feeling lonely -- embrace it -- you won’t feel like that forever. Go out and try a new thing and make it worth it. But don’t avoid the emotion, go through it, sit down and write about it. I learned it wasn’t about what I did or what I was going to do. It was just being okay with where I was at, enjoying the present moment, that brought me peace of mind.

How Solo Traveling Helps You Become a Life Enhancer
“There are three kinds of people in the world today,”
“There are ‘well poisoners,’ who discourage you and stomp on your creativity and tell you what you can’t do. There are ‘lawn mowers’ – people who are well- intentioned but self-absorbed; they tend to their own needs, mow their own lawns and never leave their yards to help another person. Finally, there are ‘life enrichers’ – people who reach out to enrich the lives of others, to lift them up and inspire them. We need to be life enrichers, and we need to surround ourselves with life enrichers.”
- Walt Disney
