Monique Chan is the founder of Bruized, which is a company based in Toronto, Canada aiming to reduce food waste and provide affordable, healthy, vegan food to the local community.
In this conversation, she tells us about how a few years ago, she became an environmentalist, then pescetarian, and finally - after balling her eyes out within the first 5 minutes of the film “Earthlings” - a vegan.

Wine, business, politics, activism and more with Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni
Sebastiano is working at such a high level on so many exciting things that it's hard to summarize the work he does. I really like these sentences taken from his LinkedIn profile:
"Born in Milan, Italy, Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni is an award-winning entrepreneur, activist, investor, and advisor to businesses and governments around the world. Although his expertise spans the food, finance, wine, technology, life sciences, and art sectors, his greatest concern is animals. An impassioned vegan and animal rights activist, Sebastiano’s focus is on promoting the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle globally; overtaking the inefficiency, cruelty and inherent dangers of animal agriculture; revolutionizing the food industry through innovation; fostering rewarding investments in such innovation; and striving to protect the planet from the catastrophic effects of climate change."
Querciabella is his wine company that he tells us about in the episode, and I apologize for my poor pronunciation of Italian words.
This conversation was an absolute thrill for me. I hope you enjoy listening and that you find it interesting!

3 Tips for Vegans

Dee Fancett is Making Life Easier for Vegans Everywhere Ep.8
I’ve been vegan since 2010 and I have to say that now in 2019, the amount of vegan options available at my fingertips is on a whole other level. We’ve still got a long way to go though, and it can still be challenging, especially for people who are new to the lifestyle or who may be travelling, to find some good vegan grub.
Enter today’s guest, Dee Fancett. Now working full time with Happy Cow, a website and app that makes it super easy for people to locate vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants, Dee plays a major role in making vegan food easily accessible to the masses. She also manages the website VeggieInChiangMai.com which is a one-stop-shop for all information relevant to vegans living or traveling in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where Dee has lived for the past decade.
When she’s not making life easier for plant eaters around the globe, she’s training for marathons, racing regularly, and is no stranger to the top of the podium. In fact, she won the international category of the Chiang Mai University Marathon just the day before we recorded this conversation.
We talk about all these things and more in this conversation. Dee is awesome, I think you’re going to like her. So, settle in to your sofa, or your bicycle saddle, or your running stride, or your commute, or whatever you’re doing as you listen, and enjoy my conversation with Dee Fancett.

Anonymous for the Voiceless Co-Directors Paul Bashir and Asal Alamdari Ep.7
Anonymous for the Voiceless is an animal rights organization that does a kind of street activism called the Cube of Truth. These are peaceful demonstrations akin to an art performance in which activists show footage of animal exploitation to the public and have conversations with interested passersby with the hope of guiding them to their own vegan conclusions. Today’s episode features Paul Bashir and Asal Alamdari, the co-directors of the organization.
I think it’s fair to say at this point that these demonstrations are the most popular form of organized vegan activism. The organization has chapters in over 900 cities around the globe and that number is growing very quickly.
In this conversation we talk about how the organization got started, what has caused it to grow so rapidly, the reasoning behind this specific approach to activism, and we also have a broader conversation about vegan activism in general.
It was really fascinating to talk to Paul and Asal and to hear their perspectives on all of these things. I think this is a really enlightening conversation that will leave you feeling inspired to become more active in promoting veganism, or at the very least, it will give you a greater understanding of, and appreciation for, the work that animal rights activists do.

Shane has an amazing story of transformation. In years past, he felt a lack of energy and will. He felt lonely and as though he didn’t belong. When he found gambling and drugs, he began forming addictive tendencies towards these destructive behaviors, eventually leading to some pretty dark places.
The present-day Shane, however, has come a long way.
Shane is now a high-performing triathlete, and works tirelessly in service to those who struggle with addiction.
As you are about to hear, Shane is extremely open and articulate about his feelings, experiences, and the lessons he has learned along the way.
I feel grateful to have had this insightful exchange and my feeling is that you will be moved and inspired by Shane’s story.
He posts regularly to his Instagram page and stories at @shanegoodhew so be sure to check him out there if you are feeling his vibe.
Once again, thanks for tuning in today.

This is The Vegan Champion Podcast, welcome to the show. On today’s episode, we have for you a conversation with none other than Durianrider. He’s a polarizing figure in the health and fitness world and it was really interesting to sit down with him, hear his story, and pick his brain. That’s today’s show; episode 3 of The Vegan Champion Podcast.
My name is Jason Fonger and I’m the host here at The Vegan Champion Podcast. The idea behind this podcast is to showcase people who are out there doing amazing things for the vegan movement; people who are champions of the vegan message if you will.
Today’s guest is one of, if not the most active vegans on all of social media. Harley Johnstone aka Durianrider as he goes by on social media has a seemingly tireless work ethic when it comes to creating and uploading content which promotes a healthy vegan lifestyle.
I came across Durianrider’s YouTube videos back in 2010 and his message definitely inspired me in many ways. Since then he has become a mentor and friend of mine and I definitely have to thank him for helping me to get to where I am today in terms of the life I’m living and the level of fitness I have attained.
It was great to sit down with Harley to have this conversation. I think by listening to this you’re likely to gain a better understanding of him and his message.
