Brad Franc is an accounting major who initially pursued a career in the field. He successfully landed a job at a prominent company and worked there for four years. However, he realized that the interesting work in the tax department was being done by lawyers, which sparked his desire to become one.

Despite receiving discouragement from the majority of people he consulted, Brad decided to attend law school. This decision turned out to be a life-changing move, as Brad joined Houston Harbor, a well-known law firm in town, in 1987. Over the course of his 30-year tenure at the firm, he played a pivotal role in its growth and success.

Brad and his colleagues began collaborating with external partners, leading to the establishment of several other successful companies. Their achievements were recognized by Inc. magazine, which listed them as one of the fastest-growing companies nine times in a span of 20 years. One of the factors contributing to their success was the strategic planning process that Brad introduced and diligently followed. This led him to become involved in succession planning, a crucial aspect of his work.

Throughout his career, Brad extensively worked with closely held businesses, many of which were family-owned.
