Family Business w/ Lebon Restoration & Woodworks

Family Business w/ Lebon Restoration & Woodworks

We are joined by a great friend and long-time industry vet, Justin Lebon owner and proprietor of Lebon Restoration & Woodwork. This episode is steered by SVC & JTM as Matt was in Wisconsin recording a docuseries for the CrossFit games. Nevertheless, we were able to put together a great episode and conversation. Justin is another one of those Fremont transplants who made their way to the Livermore Valley and never left. He spent a decade at Uncle Yu's right here in the heart of downtown as the GM and every other position. And when the pandemic hit, he was pressed to make some hard decisions about what was next. Join us for another deep dive into what it takes to push yourself to be your best. And we are reminded again that banking on yourself is always the best bet.

Deep Cuts with AJ's Bikes

Deep Cuts with AJ's Bikes

Season 6 here we go - since 2019, we have aimed to highlight the brilliant collection of makers and innovators located in the Livermore Valley. This season is no different!

We start this season off with AJ Wright of AJ's Bike Service. AJ is a local who has been serving this community since 2015, when he started working at Livermore Cyclery. After their unfortunate closing, he took it upon himself to continue the legacy started by one of Livermore's best cycle shops. He began wrenching out of his garage after hitting what felt like rock bottom during covid. The Livermore Valley community embraced him and helped push him to open his shop!

We go deep in this episode, peeling back the layers that make up small business owner AJ Wright. He shares some things that we were not expecting, allowing us to have a conversation that we have not yet had before on this platform. While a bit intense sometimes, this episode is all love and passion. We hope you enjoy the raw season opener, and be sure to give us a like, subscribe, and follow on Instagram as well @TTG_Podcast & if you are feeling extra gracious, leave us a review.

Heritage Varietals - Sauv. Blanc Part 1 - Livermore Valley

Heritage Varietals - Sauv. Blanc Part 1 - Livermore Valley

We are back with another round o tasting with a few of my favorite local wine lovers. We get back to some basics and go over a bit of the local news. Followed by jumping right back into a semi-blind tasting of 4 Sauvignon Blancs moderated by SVC.  Only to be followed up by one more pass through 4 more Sauv. Blancs. The Livermore Valley is one, if not the oldest wine-growing region in America. And even though our roots are written all over the industry today, why haven't we been recognized by the greater market and industry as a region worth investing time, money, and interest in? There are a few theories out there, but for us here on TTG, we can help but think it has a lot to do with our varietal identity or lack thereof. Over the last few years, the Livermore Valley Wine Growers and various industry leaders have seriously considered both Sauvignon Blanc & Cabernet Franc as our regional identity. We are all about the hype, so we put the theory to the test and brought in 8 SBs from all over the world. Each showcases something unique about the varietal. This was a great tasting, and we are excited to see if you all can jive with SB as our flagship heritage white wine varietal.

We have never sparkled so hard in an episode before and you won't want to miss this bubbly conversation. It was truly a treat to have Brad in the studio with us and share his experiences and more. Native to Danville, a suburb not too far from the Livermore Valley, he was able to share some unique perspectives on the future of agro-tourism here in Livermore and what it might take to get us on the map.

We definitely went a bit long on this one but the conversation was too good to cut off along with tasting thought 8 bottles of wine, yum!! This episode is a sipper for sure so pop open a bottle of something nice, kick those feet up and enjoy. TTG is back at it!

This week's episode is a two-parter featuring some live blind tastings!! I invited back Savannah & Nakoah to test their palates, along with a new voice in Dave Hendrickson of Occasio Winery and Sidewinder Spirits. The goal of this episode is to pull back the curtain on industry professionals tasting through a series of wines blind.  All of us coming from different wine-focused backgrounds were all able to add a unique perspective to the tasting. As the first part of our season finale, I couldn't be more excited to share this episode with you today. Celebrate & Empower - Covid Edition

Celebrate & Empower - Covid Edition

2020 is proving to be among the most historical years in decades and there is so much to talk about. It has been over 3 months since Collin & Jeremy sat down last and they are itching to get back at it. Our hearts are heavy at the horrific death of George Floyd. All while dealing with the most destructive pandemic in centuries. We decided to go 'unscripted' and really talk about some topics needing to be addressed in this episode. Bear with us as we do our best to dissect some tough topics and do our best to represent our industry, and region that have been relatively silent. The hospitality industry has long thrived on diversity in race, religion, creed, and sexual orientation for decades. We must be proactive and start considering what can be done #beyondthehashtag. Don't miss Collin's pledge to #endsupremacy. We hope you enjoy what the two of us have to say. Take care of one another and together let's demand better. #makeamericagreatFORONCE
