Join Lindsay Fera and the Pitt's Career Center's Alumni In Residence Pamela Kirkland as we deep dive into how she got her start with CNN!
Pamela Kirkland graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Political Science and Communications. Throughout her career she has worked as an Assistant Producer with C-SPAN Radio, Senior Producer with SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Video Producer with the Washington Post, and a Producer with PBS NewsHour. Currently based in Atlanta, Pamela has been with CNN as a Field Producer since 2018 where she does on-camera reporting, writes, produces, and edits national and local news.

Meet Alex! Internship Associate and Interim Pre-Law Advisor
Alex earned a B.S. in Marketing upon graduating from Penn State University in the Spring of 2017 and is currently pursuing a Masters in Higher Education Administration at the University of Pittsburgh. Through All-Temps, he began working in different roles at the University of Pittsburgh, before being hired at the Career Center as an Internship Associate in December 2018. He looks forward to working with all students to help them achieve their goals.
Beginning in Fall 2022, Alex will begin to see Pre-Law students in addition to working with internship seekers.

Meet our Alumni -In- Residence Tim James from Google!
Time Out with the Career Center speaks with one of our Alumni In Residence, Tim James and Emily Bennett, who is currently managing Experiential Learning Programs and Initiatives at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Computing and Information.
Tim James is currently a Software Engineering Manager at Google. He holds a BS in Computer Science and an MBA, both from Katz. He is currently his pursuing his PhD in Technology at Purdue University. Beyond his work at Google, Tim has been an adjunct professor at Pitt since 2012 for SCI.
