Episode 5: The Three Caballeros Review
Oh, hi! 👋🏼We're back with another episode of Tokyo Kawaii Club Radio. In this episode, Manae and I review the 1944 movie/musical/hodgepodge-of-randomness known as The Three Caballeros.
In addition to this movie being known for portraying Donald as a total hornball for human women (say wha?), it also introduced two somewhat rare Disney birds: José Carioca and Panchito Pistoles. Listen to find out what we think of this bizarro movie. And, as always, we have our usual departments like news/tip of the week. Hope you dig it!
BTW: To make it easier on both of our schedules, we'll be switching to a bi-weekly format starting next week, so the next episode will drop on May 8. Bright side to this, (hopefully) every new episode will be a MEGA episode that'll contain a bonus Japan-themed discussion afterwards. We'll see how it goes. :)

(MEGA) Episode 4: DuckTales Reboot Review + Bonus Japan Episode
Would you look at that? We're at Episode 4 of Tokyo Kawaii Club Radio. Not only that, but it's also the second MEGA episode. That means immediately after the Disney discussion, there's a special BONUS Nihon Nerd episode. And this one's special, indeed, because I interview the woman directly influenced my decision to move to Japan back in 2017: Elizabeth Mueller.
But before we get to Elizabeth, Manae and I revisit DuckTales yet again. But unlike last week, we're not reviewing the old-school cartoon. Oh, no! Instead, we fast forward to recent reboot of series and review first episode of that.
Then, after the Disney episode ends, I yap it up with my friend and fellow Japan expat Elizabeth. In addition to being a simply rad human being, Elizabeth also started her own business here in Japan. (MEGA) Episode 2: Rescue Rangers Review + Bonus Japan Episode
Oh, hi! 👋🏼Welcome to the second episode of Tokyo Kawaii Club Radio. This one is special. Not because we managed to actually record 2 (you mean this podcast is still going? Amazing!). No, it's special because this is the first MEGA EPISODE.
Yep, that means you're not only going to get a regular Disney-themed episode, but you're ALSO going to get a BONUS Japan-themed Nihon Nerd episode immediately after the Disney blabber. And I kick off my first Nihon Nerd bonus episode with my friend who's SOLELY responsible for me coming to Japan in the first place, Mark MacDonald. Hmm... I guess that means he's also responsible if my business tanks and I end up living in a Shibuya gutter begging for change. No pressure, Mark!
But before we get to Mark, my co-host Manae and I review one of my favorite Disney cartoons of the late '80's, early '90's: Chip 'N Dale's Rescue Rangers. Now apparently we reviewed the first episode (Piratsy Under The Seas), but we're not really sure. Although Manae has NEVER seen Rescue Rangers, so it's all new to her anyways.
